Here in the North of the Uk, it was 20C and sunny but I don't go out in the sun now. Having being one of the unluckier ones that have had skin cancer twice, not melanoma, thank goodness but having to have the BCC's cut out is not nice. It leaves you with scars which I don't recommend. The sun is good for you but in small doses..........
I don't know what they mean but I'm going back way over 15yrs now. On a site where we used to play music and chat. We were chatting about food etc....Some one mentioned eating at "Y's" I asked if it was a subsidiary of McDonalds or Burger King? I felt totally when my American friend told me what it meant The same with "Bearded Clams" I was so naive way back then
I have no idea who Elon Musk is I know that some lucky Uk winner of the lottery has just won £184 million pounds, equivalent to $225 million dollars Good on them
Happy Mothers Day. Yes, the Uk celebrated it in March but no harm in Celebrating it again with other Countries
This was one of my late Mums favourite songs. I was only 2yrs old when it was 1st realised but she played it that much that I can still remember it. Mum had it on a 78rpm vynil, His Masters Voice Label.
Actually sang this a few times on Karaoke "If they had it"
Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers out there and for the other Mothers that are with the
I don't call people "old" I'd rather call them elderly, it's much more "politically correct" As you're not quite young yourself What do you think about?
I'm one happy bunny now that Sinn Fein has gained control in Northern Ireland. Hopefully, they will make it a "United Ireland" and leave the Uk Give Scotland and Wales their Countries back too So that we can just concentrate on our beloved "England"
We can only surmise some things. Will we ever know the truth? Luckily things have moved on now with DNA etc...The story re Ruth Ellis as you will know, she was the last woman to be hanged in England on 13th July 1955 aged 28. She didn't deserve that. These days, it's all about perpetrators having a "mental" illness. I know times have moved on now but sometimes I think about the past and how many people were wrongfully put to death like Timothy Evans and such like Hindley and Brady should have been "Hung, Drawn and Quartered"
And "No" I don't think that Margaret Thatcher looks or did anything like Myra Hindley.
I personally don't watch movies regarding Serial Killers were actors get awards portraying Serial Killers. To me, that's just giving the Serial Killers "Lime Light" when they should be dead and buried. I would rather watch the "True to Life" documentaries.........
I watch a lot of "True Crime" on TV whether it be the Uk or America. I've seen many documentaries regarding Aileen, she was born on the same day, same year as I was "29th February 1956" I didn't have the best of my up bringing. Brought up strict, had to learn how to make a fire at the age of 8, got belted with a leather belt many times by my Dad got abused by my eldest brother. I still live with these scars to this day and I'm 66yrs old now but it still wouldn't make me go out and kill or inflict any pain on anyone. In fact, it made me to be the opposite. Why would I want to inflict pain on anyone that I've endured?
Sorry but that's just not an excuse saying that they were brought up with violence.
RE: Where is the British Humour?
Funnily enough, I ordered 5 Bic Razors in my Sainsburys delivery. I have no idea why as I have no hairs to shave now
