RE: Going Home - What is Home?

I absolutely adore New Jersey. Spent quite a lot of time there since 2013 as you know. Always tried to go for my 90 days at a time. The only time that I've never been there was for Halloween but still saw all the fantastic decorations that were up before I left.

Loved watching the air show in Atlantic City (My favourite place) Ocean City, Seaside Heights, Cape May. Collected lots of "fridge magnets" my favourite being the Licence Plate "New Jersey" "The Garden State" grin Plus I love that you still have the old measures, as in "Feet, Inches, Yards, Miles, Pounds, Ounces, Gallons etc.." I just can't be doing with these bloody metric measures rolling on the floor laughing bouquet

RE: How many boyfriends or girlfriends do you prefer and usually have at the same time?

I love them all, as long as they make me breakfast banana grin

RE: What Should Happen as a Result of the Chris Rock Will Smith Oscars Incident?

@ Karl. I truly dislike Chris Rock for what he's caused crying I don't even know who CS is but there was just no need for it all........

Get Jiggy banana

RE: What Should Happen as a Result of the Chris Rock Will Smith Oscars Incident?

I'm sorry but I totally disagree with you there. Will Smith didn't make a fool of himself. He did what many other people would have done. Yes! he was angry, spur of the moment thing. I probably would have acted in the same way, watching and listening to a so called Compere making fun out of my husband/wife/children etc.. regarding something that they are suffering from and especially on a "Awards" night. Would you not do the same for your family?

If Chris Rock wouldn't have opened his big gob, trying to make the audience laugh at the expense of others, then none of this would have happened. Kudos to Will Smith thumbs up

RE: What Should Happen as a Result of the Chris Rock Will Smith Oscars Incident?

My personal stance on the incident. Yes! I think Will Smith was wrong on what he did but then again Chris Rock was wrong in what he said, especially when it was being Broadcast all over the world. Trying to make a "joke" out of someone with a "certain disorder." (I can't think of the correct word to use at the moment) Just to make people laugh. It was totally uncalled for in my opinion. I can understand Will Smiths reaction, as I would have probably done the same if it was one of my family members that had been "ridiculed". Maybe Chris Rock has never experience having one of his family/friends with a "disorder" being made "fun" of on TV with a world wide audience. I just think that it should be left alone now. Both were in the "wrong" end of ...

RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

You're digging a big hole for yourself now dunno

RE: Not so bad things about being an Islander

I understand what you're saying Karl but they all come under America. What I "just me personally" find offensive is certain people calling Great Britain/ The Uk "Islanders" There are 4 Countries within the Uk and maybe " CERTAIN "American people should have a bit of respect. crying

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

thumbs up

RE: What scares you the most?

RE: Come on Wales

Is Sweden a Country or a Town somewhere ? Please enlighten me as I wouldn't know rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Eastern European, or western women .

For goodness sake "grow up" laugh How can you "differentiate" a woman from one Country to another? It seems like you "Class" all women as the "Same" from whichever Country they come from. How would you class "Greek Women" then? as apposed to British Women. Are all women "classed" as the same regarding which Country they come from?rolling on the floor laughing Plus if it's a "no brainer" to you. Why the hell are you still living in the Uk and being Greek? Move to an Eastern Country then. Whats stopping you? rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Not so bad things about being an Islander

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

I'm constantly run down here in the forums for my opinions which used to hurt me so much but! I've learned to just take it with a pinch of salt now. You know who you are and the person that you are. Why let comments on here "hurt" you? I would love to see the old CS again but alas, it will never happen. So many people on Social Media now. So many people opening up their feelings and then get ridiculed. I once saw a video of a guy from a town not far away from where I lived. He went into Chat Rooms on a certain site. He was so depressed and stated that he was going to commit suicide. The people in the Chat room were actually "egging" him in on do it crying Nasty comments, telling him that he was a coward and just do it. He was on cam at the time, he tied a rope up and hung himself on cam. By the time the police arrived he was gone. His name was Kevin Whitrickcrying

RE: Not so bad things about being an Islander

For one. I hate being called an Islander. That's my own personal view on it. Would people living in "Hawaii" like to be called "Islanders" rather than American?

I'm an Islander and proud of it grin Especially us "Northeners" laugh Fish, Chips n scraps with gravy banana

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

Do you actually "care" what people on this site call you? I've been called far worse here grin As I've said before, people can sit behind their computer screens, mobile phones, tablets etc.. and type away. This is NOT REAL LIFE "I only tend to use my computer though" grin I can't be doing with a mobile phone or tablet laugh

Just think of it as "water off a ducks back" I'm not having a go at you galrads but you did make a thread up regarding "Brewing Wine" which you well know was directed at me but naming names in here isn't a good thing. We all have our differences but as I've said before, if you've got "beef" with someone, I think it's better done in Private. bouquet

I always used to fly with Jet2 from Manchester to Murcia or Alicante. Then I tried Ryanair as Jet2 stopped flying to and from Murcia sooner than Ryanair as Murcia Airport was closing ( It was just a small military airport) I found Ryanair to be just as good as Jet2, but you couldn't have as much baggage weight as Jet2. If it hadn't had been for Ryanair, I wouldn't have been able to fly back to my apt in Spain in January 2021 to pack up my belongings, then get the next available flight back to the Uk, 3 weeks later and very cheap flights too. I have nothing but admiration for Ryanair, as least they kept flights going "when allowed" when all others stopped flying and before anyone says it's about the money, yet it is but they kept on going and the flights were very cheap considering there were only around 50 passengers on the plane due to having to have a good reason why you were flying. Luckily for me, I had my Spanish Residentia so was allowed to fly back to Spain. So kudos to Ryanair and long may you continue to fly good luck tip hat irish

Not many Airlines have "In flight Entertainment" on short haul flights these days. I don't need "in flight" entertainment for a 2 and a half hour flight laugh Crickey, if people find the seats uncomfortable, get up and move about, I don't even sit in my computer chair or settee for 2 hours laugh

As for other Airlines. I've always flown with what used to be US Airways, now known as American Airlines. I've been on a couple of flights were the "on line entertainment TV" wasn't even working but the flight was "full" so no spare seats available and it's an 8 hour flight. Day flight going there, overnight flight coming back. I would still fly with them again. I'm easy to please grin

RE: I miss the days when we had fun people .

I miss my online Karaoke Days. I should have kept up the yearly payments to keep all my recordings but alas. it wasn't meant to be. I did however managed to salvage this one and save it to an MP3 rolling on the floor laughing My favourite karaoke song ever cheering banana head banger My friends daughter "who is mentally and physically disabled" Always used to get up and sing this with me. RE: Have you ever been cat fished?

I met someone from a dating site a few years ago. He was in Orihuella and me in Torrevieja so not that far away. He was a Radio Presenter. It lasted 3 years. Things happen and it didn't work out. He still uses a photo from years ago from before I even met him. He'll be 70 now but his photo is from way back when he was in his 50's.

I've know my friend in America since 2002. Not through a dating site. Just as a genuine friend on another site which was just all Music. I went over there in 2013 just for 2 weeks. "Long Story" I was going to stay in one of the Motels but he lives down in the woods and has 4 bedrooms so he just wanted me to stay at his. He was and still is a true gentleman. We talk most nights on Viber. I've lived in America for 3 months at a time until this "Virus" put paid to it crying Plus me having to move back to the Uk from Spain. This guy has been my "rock" through thick and thin. Yes! he's American and I love him to bitsheart wings Our song

RE: Mohamed is...

You do in Spain. Jesus is a very popular name but pronounced Heysoos but with the H as though you're gargling laugh Peter/Pedro, Michael/Miguel, Eileen/Elana but when it comes to names beginning with "S" they pronounce it as "Th" as in Thoothana for Susanna. That was my interpreters name. Her father was English and her Mother is Spanish.

Not got any Mohamed's where I live as yet. Got plenty neighbours from Blackpool, Bolton and surrounding areas. I need to mix more grin

Your comment re "Smash" just reminded me of this rolling on the floor laughing I have this little guy on a charm bracelet and his arms and legs move too heart beating

RE: Ah jeez finally can post here.

Nowt better than a bit of a "Mix" hey? grin

RE: I miss the days when we had fun people .

Does that include "yourself"? grin

I just think that the past couple of years has taken it's toll on many people. I only ever used to use this site for the "gaming" part of it. Shame they went crying I found the "Puzzles" quite therapeutic. My "mouse" was moving faster than a real one laugh

I was living in Spain when it went into "Lockdown" on 14th March 2020. I'd just had a hip replacement done 6 months before and I had to walk "with a walking cane and my little shopping trolley to the nearest supermarket and pharmacy" and they weren't close by. A man and wife/partner couldn't even go out in their car together for shopping. 1 person in a car only. Police road blocks everywhere checking up on everyone. Police even checking people walking on the streets to check on their Shopping receipts to make sure that you'd been shopping. No going out for exercise whatsoever. Kids locked up in their apartments for 12 weeks. People taking other peoples dogs out just to get out as you were allowed to take a dog out for a walk but only 50 metres from where you lived. It was horrific but I think it made a lot of people much stronger. I know it has with me.

I'm definitely not a War Correspondent. I have my own views on things and don't keep posting "links" to try and change other peoples minds. I have no idea where or when this conflict is going to end. As for other past wars, they're just History which no one can change.

What's a "philosopher"? sad flower

Is that an "airport"?
