The STFU part was a final resort, if she didn't want to educate herself, but seeing her last post, makes me think she's a lost cause. That's insulting a lot of women's memories, as well as their families, and totally unacceptable.
I'll bet if you tried my moose wrapped in bacon, slow roasted in the oven, you'd never know what kind of animal it was. Or Elk steaks, marinated and BBQ'd.
Well, you do seem to have the ability to learn, and I do respect that.
As for sport hunting here, I don't have a problem with that, the animal doesn't go to waste. Every hunter I know goes out for the entire experience, even if they don't fill their tag. I guess you might have to grow up in the environment to appreciate it, understand it fully. It's not all about killing.
As I said earlier in the thread, write little Stevie, see where that gets you. The federal and provincial governments here have a long history of mistreating the Indigenous population of this country.
So any suggestion that the government should do more for them, is really a joke. If people actually knew the conditions some of them lived in, they might change their stance on hunting, then again, maybe not. Not everyone has the luxury of having a giant grocery store at the corner, and many don't want it.
If people would actually take the time to educate themselves before they start typing, things would be a whole lot different on here.
Better yet, get to know some of them and ask them personally, I have friends I've known since early childhood, and have heard the stories of residential schools, starvation on reserves, etc., first hand, not out of a book, or on the net, TV.
No, not really, some people need to be told they're acting like an idiot in strong terms, otherwise they just never get it.
She has a computer, she could educate herself, yet she chooses not to.
Since when is the government responsible for taking care of people's every need. Do you really think it's a good idea to move the Inuit off their land, after thousands of years?
So basically you're saying your opinion means nothing, because you know nothing about the topic.
Do you have any idea of the cost of living north of the 60th parallel, or the harsh conditions people live in? Do you really believe that the government is going to hand them everything, when they don't even pay for proper schools at this present time? Do you think that would be a good plan for the people themselves, to have to do nothing, other than wait for handouts?
Do a little research, then try again, or just STFU.
Yep, various studies, funded by all sorts of groups, on both sides of the debate. I've heard plenty about it, seeing as I live here. I'm not in favour of commercial hunting of any sort, but I am in support of the Inuit having their traditional hunt. As I stated in my previous post, write Stevie Harper with your concerns.
You're grasping at straws again. Any whale hunting done is under strict management by an international committee, and only specified quotas. Anything more, is illegal, and the same goes for seals.
RE: Hunting
Nothing, just gave a few of the women an opportunity to show the world what they're really like, so any man interested could see it for themselves.I know, I'm bad.
