People are born with what they have. They choose other things like having long or short hair. If they don't suit your expectations, move on and leave them to someone who appreciates them.
Being absolutely clear and forthright in one's communication in any type of relationship is necessary. If you feel the other person isn't being as forthright, or are in a different page to you, then choices have to be made.
I presumed that everybody had the same kind of upbringing and childhood as me. It is only as you get older that you realise not everybody was that lucky.
We eat with our eyes as much as with our stomachs.
A small portion on a small plate looks big and therefore satisfies us. The same portion on a large plate looks unsatisfying and we feel we need to eat more.
