RE: my heart says

When women fall out of love, they become as stone cold ruthless as the best trained warriors. You must forget in order to free yourself and her before the coldness turns icily cruel.

RE: americans full of them selves

True, which breeds the wrong kind of narcissism entirely.

The narcissism that comes from beating rivals, continually bettering yourself and refusal to throw in the towel is the kind of winner's narcissism that we want. The kind of narcissism that results from being born above others is not the narcissism that what we want.

RE: americans full of them selves

It's a bit more than that. Those at the top - or should I say those that inherit being at the top - have a tendency to rest on their laurels and expect large returns and high status for meagre efforts and output, or in other words, they become full of themselves.

RE: Who has the upper hand in the dating scene ?

Thank you... see that's all it takes !!

RE: Should I ditch my sweet loving gf for this hottie?

Let's just turn hypothetical for a second and ask what would you do if she wasn't a scammer?

RE: Who has the upper hand in the dating scene ?

And you strike me as delusional. You'll say something that entirely accords to what I have just said, but still manage to frame it as a disagreement. Now that is immaturity.

RE: americans full of them selves

Oh Absolutely.

As a Brit it's enough to make you want to sail up the Delaware river and burn down The White House.

Only this time the Americans would thank us.

RE: I am sick and tired of...

Tourists. The French. Female comediennes. Fat children. Everyone.

RE: why some people have prejudices?

And experience does matter.

The place I am now which was a Liberal stronghold throughout the boom years has just elected a UKIP councillor - the first in the region - now that the recession has brought reality home.

UKIP and the Liberals have fiercely opposed views on things like immigration, crime and a whole range of things and this goes to show that experience absolutely does change people's attitudes, loyalties and prejudices.

RE: why some people have prejudices?

Because we have loyalty?

It's loyalty to places, peoples and ideas that create the prejudices against other places, peoples and ideas.

Of course, by becoming completely self-involved you can take no other side than your own - true equality & intolerance - and with apathy towards everything but your own immediate self-interst then you can avoid loyalty, prejudice and taking sides in the world at large.

RE: What women really want from men

Just analysing the facts. It's meant as no disrespect to women for me to say that you have universal laws of attraction just like us. Nature is a wonderful thing when you don't try to fight against it.

RE: What women really want from men

Yes yes you all want to feel as though you're a special and unique snowflake.

RE: What women really want from men

Excitement.

Deliver on the above and you can ignore the rest of her 477 bullet-point checklist.

RE: What age did start feeling "Older" and concerned about finding a special partner.

Don't be cruel by encouraging it. Listening to his views on women is like watching a child play with a garden strimmer.

RE: Was Margret Thatcher good or bad for world politics

To the older generation it's more of a simple left/right split as to whether she was good or not.

To those of us who grew up after Thatcher the 80's are viewed as the first of three decades of unparalleled decline.

RE: the greed of the irish

It does seem that too many of the Irish felt that they could jump about 6 social classes overnight. Anyway, you reap what you sow, but there's no need to rub salt in the wounds. The rest of the West is guilty of the same to one degree or another.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Well, I hired out one of his Boris bikes in London and the front tyre was punctured.

I've been disillusioned by mainstream politics ever since.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Given everything Maggie did to the working class, was dying on a Friday too much to ask! The selfish cow.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

It's about 150,000 I think, and I'm not against rationalisation of industry. I'm pointing out that Union greed didn't cripple the industry when that didn't have the foreign drones alternatives. I also have absolutely no doubts in the Chinese capacity to function.

The premise of my view is that exporting our technological edge and means of production to the Chinese was an act of treason and that unfettered free trade is sure to doom the West into economic malaise and eventual collapse. Which it is doing. Canada, Norway and perhaps Germany may fare a little better.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

And we'll be the peasants.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Margaret Thatcher has inspired women into politics in the same way that Myra Hindley inspired women into hiking. As many women hate her as men.

And I happen to notice that you're in China there. Do my give my warmest regards to all our expatriates out there profiteering from the decline of the West.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

This working class kid went to Uni, only he studied engineering - working class function and practicality showing themselves here - the decadent middle class easylife kids studied media and social science.

The number of kids that made it to Uni from my high school year group was in single fingers. The point being I can not carry the weight of 10 chavs and a dozen soft-science untermenschen on my shoulders. And Britain can not stand on this state of affairs.

However, I totally agree with the conventional conservative wisdom that many people and much of the working class is not of the intellectual capacity and merit to warrant higher education. Only we need materially resourceful industries - like the ones that Thatcher destroyed - that employ large numbers of workers for these people to go into instead of onto benefits or debt-creating jobs. Coal not dole.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

They attend schools - well some of them do, some of the time - but no, I'm saying that watching your family, your friends, your community and everything you've ever cared for decay and collapse around you breeds a sense of hopelessness and listlessness that no amount of "education" will ever penetrate.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Because in Britain we have entire communities and towns that exist on benefits thanks to Thatcher. The kids that grow up in these communities, we call them "chavs", are the ones that can't spell or be educated... and the numbers of these kids alone becomes a "norm" and once they reach critical mass it isn't long before their low standards begin to infect the rest of the generation to the point where even middle class British kids are an illiterate joke.

RE: Is 17 to young to be a police commisioner?

Simply another bureaucratic non-job born from the Leftoid's touchy feely community outreach syndrome.

Not to be taken seriously. And neither is she.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Completely incorrect, but this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

She was an economic buffoon and her voodoo economic system is the one crashing today. But, the fact the she was less of an effete handwringer is one of the good things about her.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Not that many people like her, it's mostly armchair pundits from across the globe that do. And the women like me just fine... Feminists just hate anything that resembles logic, reason and truth.

Anyway, seen as she's dead I should say something positive about Maggaie, so I'll go with "better than Reagan".

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

You sound like Harriett Harman. She also confuses misogyny with the simple fact that people hate her.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

The irony is that it was her domestic and economic policies that made greater dependence on and integration with Europe inevitable.

RE: The 'Iron Lady' has passed away.

Or denote a chapter to her in The Little Red Book. It's an ironic world we live in.
