I rescued him and I think he gets frightened that Im going to go away and leave him too - he is such a character and so good with the cat. The cat is almost 2 now but just the other day I found him attacking the dog and he was sort of clinging on to him by all fours as the dog was trying to run away, piggy back style backwards - i was in fits of laughter
He couldnt get upstairs but the whole house would have been full of smoke, it pained him to bark though Im sure he would have done but he must have laid with his head near a draught is what the medics said...........
Now heres a really sad story - get the tissues out for this one. I had a best friend one time, she had two beautiful little boys and a dog, an old Labrador, he had arthritis, blood disorders, very limited diet and masses of meds every day (courtesy of the pdsa), he had everything wrong with him you can think of.
My friend and her boyfriend split up and after a bit of time she gets it together with another friend of mine and theyre getting on great then one morning, 4 am, knock on my door and its the police - they had got really drunk, fallen asleep with a ciggie in the ashtray which burned down and fell onto the mattress - Katrina, both her adorable little boys and My friend Billy all perished in the smoke - wandering out of it to greet the fireman came the dog, right as rain.......... the people at the pdsa later that day gave him (Sam) double fish and chips then injected him so he could join the others..........
My little dog is never far from my side but Im in a panic at the moment as I havent seen the cat for a few hours, I guess he'll be home when he's hungry
thankfully not every pet owner is like this C - my daughters dog is 17 this year and she is spending a fortune on medication for his arthritis and Im dreading the day the doctors cant do more for him, he will be such a loss to the whole family but it will happen this year I reckon - they have just started him on a new drug this week as the others had started to make him throw up....... heartbreaking........
People use socialism like its a dirty word and have done since the reds under the beds propaganda way back - its a mind set that was washed in by the media - the latest game of hurling ridicule at anybody who doesnt fit the right wing mold is a pretty feeble effort to protect the elitist set up thats reigned for years - but all dictatorships finally crumble, even if they do pretend to be democratic
I found the original Reefer Madness film last night - im going to put it in the drugs thread in a min but it is a perfect illustration of how misinformation is driven in to an unsuspecting public who dont even think to ask questions.........
it isnt a socialist uprising, its the downtrodden rising up and misuse of of psychology as in "if something is laughed at and called names, people wont want to associate with it" is consigned to the trash can - I only hope theres enough educated ones to ward off total anarchy..........
Oh you lucky thing, they make that over there dont they I love the white choccie one thats even sweeter but the original was my favourite as a child even
Thats what Ive been thinking too Burdy - as Ive been sat in bed watching films and getting over the flu, its just been a case of, oh well, it must be meant to be
