Wisdom from Dave Boufford Known as Mr. Positive, Dave is a writer, author and motivational speaker.
One of my favorite quotations about life’s teachings comes from Thomas Carlyle, who said “Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.”
So, here’s what I’ve come to know:
Take care of yourself as best you can. Daily exercise, relaxation and nutrition are vital for optimal performance in every area of life. Do your best and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
Love is what makes life worth living. I believe learning to love is the most important skill we can develop in our lives, and yes I strongly believe it’s a skill that must be learned. I think it’s the reason why we are born – to love and be loved.
Give until it hurts. That’s my motto and sometimes it does hurt – especially when others take advantage. But give anyway! Giving is the other part of receiving, and I’ve found that helping others always comes back to me multiplied.
Learn to be interested in others and their lives. Always look for ways to be of service and you’ll never be alone. You never know who you’ll meet and how your life will be blessed by your connection.
Have goals but don't fall in love with them. Be flexible, as life is ever changing and your goals will change as you grow and your dreams evolve.
Learn to flow with life like a stream. Change is the only constant in our world, everything and everyone is in always in a constant state of change. Learn to flow with life, relax and enjoy the ride. Remember, "Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream..."
Develop persistence. I always like to remember that when life knocks you down (and it will), your ability to persist and look at the big picture is what gets you through.
Practice gratitude everyday. Everyone can find something to be grateful for and developing an "Attitude of Gratitude" will pay dividends in ways you cannot imagine.
Grow through adversity. The trick to growing through adversity is not "becoming a victim" by looking for reasons "why," but by looking for the benefits in the situation. Ask yourself high quality questions that start with how or what, such as: •How does this help me? •What's good about this situation? •What can I learn from this?
Exercise control over your thoughts and emotions. There's only one thing you can completely control in life and that's your thinking. Master your mind and the world is yours.
Yes, this does seem strange, does it not? The powers that be, do NOT want Ron Paul in the Whitehouse! He would clean up their corrupted Government. They would be out of business and behind bars where they belong. They are crooks and cheaters, organized crime at its highest level.
The voting machines are corrupted by these crooks. Ron Paul filed suits in many states after the last election as voters reported they had cast their votes for him, yet their precincts showed ZERO votes for him! Talk about being "blackballed"!
It's such a shame that corruption rules the land. America NEEDS Ron Paul!!!!!
Yes, Ron Paul has run on the Independent ticket twice prior. In 2008 he ran in the Primary as a Republican candidate, then switched to the Independent ticket after not winning the nomination.
Oh Leo, why did you have to post this? Now I may have to get my copy of Notting Hill out and watch it again. It's been about 6 months since I watched it last. Was speaking of it last weekend.
Strange how that movie awakens the love deep within your soul, making you crave for even a small taste of its divine beauty if only for a moment.
It would be cool to have you as a friend but I have drawn a line that no one can come across, the boarderline. It's not a line about knowing me and what I am all about, for I don't mind revealing that at all. It is my intimate space I refer to. I have no desire at this time for anyone to be in it. Nothing against you personally.
Aimee Allen sings the Ron Paul Song along with the song Universal Soldier at the Minneapolis Rally for the Republic. I was at this Rally... it was AWESOME!!! HL
Here is Aimee's music video of the Ron Paul Song. It is much clearer to understand.
The OP did not state that the relationships were intimate. I will assume they are NOT.
Nothing wrong with dating several while getting to know them better. You wouldn't want to dine at the same restaurant every night. Why be out with the same date every night?
You should be creating "friendships" to see if any would even qualify to be someone you would seriously be interested in.
People tend to get overly possessive and stake their claim on another when they are merely infactuated, caught up in a fantasy at the moment, instead of taking their time to get to know someone first.
Quit playing leap frog. Be patient and take the time to find out who he/she really is before making a commitment.
THEN... very important... Don't take offense if the other person concludes they do not want to go deeper into a relationship. And know that you made a new friend.
I know that you know... I was backing up what you said with some numbers and an informative article for those who read the thread and do NOT know, as Mr. Obama does NOT reveal this information when he addresses the Masses!!!
So, you paid no attention to the figures, facts and charts which showed exactly how much support Ron Paul has from troops and vets, compaired to the other candidates!
Please don't spread your misinformation here, it won't fly!
It doesn't get any clearer than that, John. The video absolutely shows that Newt presents his views according to which audience he stands before!!! Unbelievable!! All who think he is the best candidate need to have a good look at this video!
With a reply such as you have made here, it is obvious that you don't know a thing about Ron Paul. He is genuine, the real deal. He has been a Congressman for over 30 years, in Texas and Pennsylvania. He has been consistent to NEVER vote for Any Bill that was against the U.S. Constitution. Many times, he was the ONLY representative who would stand alone with his constitutional vote.
So, you are not impressed that the troops and vets support Ron Paul and that their contributions to his campaign total More than troop/vet contributions to ALL of the other candidates combined???
As it is, Washington is doing its best to maintain its grip on Iraq, replacing uniformed troops with an army of up to 17,000 under the nominal direction of the US State Department. It is to include a force of 5,500 private mercenary security contractors, a massive CIA station, and Special Operations troops operating covertly out of uniform. Tens of thousands of US troops are being kept in place across Iraq’s border in Kuwait and elsewhere in the Persian Gulf, while the US Navy and the US Air Force remain in control of the country’s coastlines and airspace.
Above is an excerpt taken from this article: Obama at Fort Bragg: A hypocritical embrace of a criminal war
By Bill Van Auken 15 December 2011
He has lots to say concerning the "lie" about the end of the war. Read it here:
This is a very informative video and well worth the watch.
People need to quit thinking this man does not know what it's all about, cos he knows more than you think he does. He surely knows his history and he is quick to point that out.
After watching this video, do you feel you know a little more about him and has it changed your viewpoint any, as to if he would be a great President to get our Nation back on track and out of debt?
