Security in a Relationship?

Would it not be easier for both parties to put away their fears and open up, if it were on the table that a love relationship was not expected, but instead, the building of a friendship?

Secure people do this... friends first and we'll see what happens from there... I just love to read this in profiles!

Security in a Relationship?

Absolutely!!!

That is why it is so important to communicate and get to know someone and allow them to become your best friend before ever considering a deeper intimate relationship. You will have had time to communicate and understand one another enough to know if taking it to the next level would be the right thing to do.

RE: UPDATE

No sense of remorse whatsoever. He wears the same smirk as my son-in-law who removed his daughter from the car in her carseat, left her sitting on the side of the road and drove off. Of course my daughter got out of the car and ran to her daughters rescue. They had to walk back into town.

Just makes you sick!!barf

Security in a Relationship?

laugh I am no "expert", just have many accounts of experiences.professor

And Yes, insecurities can be difficult to get rid of, but they CAN be Conquored. I am living proof! I used to be the most insecure and fearful person. I decided to make changes, 25 years ago. the person I am today, is a totally different person. I can not say how long it took me to grow into a new mindset, as it was a gradual process and I am still growing and changing today, but the major changes took place within the first 7 years, through counseling and prayer, much like Davids, in Psalm 34.

Psa 34:2 Humble people, listen and be happy, while I brag about the LORD.
Psa 34:3 Praise the LORD with me. Let us honor his name.
Psa 34:4 I went to the LORD for help, and he listened. He saved me from all that I fear.
Psa 34:5 If you look to him for help, he will put a smile on your face. You will have no need to be ashamed.
Psa 34:6 As a poor, helpless man I prayed to the LORD, and he heard me. He saved me from all my troubles.
Psa 34:7 The LORD'S angel builds a camp around his followers, and he protects them.
Psa 34:8 Give the LORD a chance to show you how good he is. Great blessings belong to those who depend on him!

It was only the begining in a walk that has made me who I have become today. And I wear a BIG SMILE on my face and I have JOY!

Security in a Relationship?

I have the same problem Chris.laugh And I say "problem" because I know how dangerous it is to be in a relationship with an insecure person! Thus, I do not go on many dates, very few in fact.

I have a companion/friend whom I see once a week. I choose to keep distance between us only because I see that he is insecure and controlling. I love everything else about him, but his insecurity would ruin a serious relationship. So, we spend an evening together watching the political news, discussing Politics and Corrupt Governments, which we both thoroughly enjoy, and I cook us a good meal. That's the extent of it for the past year and a half. I had to draw the line at "friends only".

So, I guess it can be pretty bad??laugh
At least I have a friend to share with!thumbs up

Good to see that Co-Dependency is non-evident!
I counsel many women who are bound by co-dependency. They have not evolved into the acceptance of, 'I know who I am and I am beautiful. I am secure in myself. I do not need to suck the life out of a man, seeking approval to know that I have worth. etc.'

Many women have been so beaten down that their self-esteem is nearly nill. They have no self-confidence, are very insecure and are constantly seeking approval from others.

Sure, we should encourage one another and we should surround ourselves with encouragers as partners and friends. Avoid negative people within your inner circle, if possible, especially if you are going through a healing process.

I believe that maturity in this comes as we bring our body, mind and spirit into unity. As we search deep within ourselves, casting off false perceptions, we begin to know true reality of who we are. We are then able to live in that security.

Body Detoxification

Saunas are great to include in a detox regimen and yes, the shower afterwards will wash the toxins off your skin and down the drain.

Be sure to drink plenty of WATER.

Eat fresh organic {if possible} fruit and veggies.

Ionic footspas and hot showers.

Drink 1 teaspoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the "Mother",
1 teaspoon of honey mixed with 8 ounces of water, 3 times a day.
This concoction will desolve plaque in arteries, bring your blood pressure back to normal as well as cholesterol. It's basically a cure all for just about anything, including rheumatoid arthritis. Read about it here on my favorite website...

Ron Paul moves UP in the Polls

Jesse supported Ron Paul in his 2008 Presidential Campaign. I talked with Jesse and he said at that time, that if Ron asked him, and the People really showed their support, he would run with Ron. He has stated so again this year. We will have to wait and see.

I believe Ron would have an excellent cheering with Sarah Palin to gain the teaparty votes, but he would not choose her for V.P. I would hope he would have her endorsement.

I like Bachman in some ways but I believe that putting a female on the ticket would be a mistake. We still have many close-minded men in this country who would take their vote elsewhere, no matter how experienced and knowledgable the woman may be. For some reason, men feel Threatened by independant women!

I appreciate your contribution to the thread, john.
Thank YOU!

Security in a Relationship?

thumbs up A very Healthy, Mature and Balanced answer!cheering

Absolutely~ Love is something you DO, not just speaking words.
It's the "little things" that mean so much.
Respecting each other, allowing each to have the Freedom to be who they are, as a unique individual. Showing attentiveness, reveals your grattitude in being in a relationship with that person.

Encourage one another throughout the day and with grattitude, show your appreciation. This should be a natural response, just as natural as breathing in and breathing out.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, And...

Yes, Great video! I love Rand Paul and the shakin up he's doing since being elected in Kentucky!

Ron and Rand as a Pres. V.P. team?
I would rather allow Rand to keep pressing on in the Senate.
I feel more would be accomplished to create the changes we the people want.

I'm for Jessie Ventura on the ticket with Ron Paul!
Why?
Cos THEY aint gonna take it, the BS and corruption that's been going on. They will put a stop to it, or die trying.hole

ALL GUYS NEED TO READ THIS.

-When she pulls away, pull her back.
-When you see her start crying, just hold her and don't say a word.
-When you see her walking, sneak up and hug her waist from behind.
-When she's scared, protect her.
-When she steals your favorite hoodie, let her wear it.
-When she says that she loves you, she really does mean it.
-When she grabs at your hands, hold hers and play with her fingers.
-When she tells you a secret, keep it safe and untold.
-When she looks at you in your eyes, don't look away until she
does.
? -When she's mad, hug her tight and don't let go.
-When she says she's, okay don't believe it.
-Call her at 12:00am on her birthday to tell her you love her.
-Treat her like she's all that matters to you.
-Watch her favorite movie with her even if you think it's stupid.
-Don't talk about other girls around her.
-Kiss her in the pouring rain.
-When she runs up to you crying, the first thing you say is:
"Whose butt am I kicking, babe?"

Guys: Would you do this?

How's YOUR Conscience???

SEATTLE – The manager of the Sears store in downtown Seattle says an elderly man has repaid -- with interest -- cash the man says he stole in the late 1940s.

KING-TV reports that the man hand-delivered an envelope Monday addressed to "Sears manager." Inside were a note and a $100 bill.

The note said the man stole $20 to $30 from a cash register decades ago and wanted to pay back $100.

Manager Gary Lorentson says he thinks the man's conscience "has been bothering him for the past 60 years."Store security cameras recorded the man, but Sears officials said they don't know who he is and they won't release the video.

The store plans to put the money toward helping needy families in the holiday season.

How about YOU? Have you ever done something that bothered you so much that you had to make it right? How much time went by before you settled your debt?

RE: It`s official...........

This makes for a Very interesting read if you want to know the history of the bailouts of the past 3 decades... with references... excellent article!

RE: It`s official...........

Here is the first page:

THE Grand Council of Fascism was set up in 1923, shortly after the "March on Rome," as a private advisory council of the Prime Minister. The Fascist deputy, Signor Volpe, not long ago described it as " the General Staff of Fascism." By the terms of the bill which will undoubtedly have been passed by the time these words appear in print, the Grand Council becomes "the supreme body, which controls all the activities of the régime." The members composing this "supreme body" fall into three categories:

1. Life members. The Dictator; the "Quadrumvirate" who led the March on Rome; ex-ministers who have held office in the Fascist Cabinet for at least five years; and those who have acted as secretaries-general of the Fascist Party since the March on Rome.

2. Ex-officio members. The President of the Senate; the Speaker of the Corporative Chamber; the Cabinet Ministers; the Prime Minister's Under-Secretary; the Under-Secretaries of the Foreign Office, the Home Office and the Ministry of Labor; the members of the central executive of the Fascist Party; the two Presidents of the National Organizations for Industry and Agriculture and the President of the Trade Unions; and five other high officials.

3. Extraordinary members, designated among "men who have deserved well of the National Cause and the Fascist Revolution, or are experts on the questions under discussion in the Grand Council."

The first two categories total thirty-five persons; the numbers in the third are not fixed. In category two only the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the Corporative Chamber are designated by their respective assemblies; the others owe office to the Dictator. Members of category three are likewise all designated by the Dictator.

One of the important functions of the Grand Council is that of "designating" the deputies for the Corporative Chamber. A few words must be said about this interesting process.

But they would rather play their stupid games in Washington... they are just biding their time... just wait and see, they Will enact Marshall Law soon enough and do whatever they like... a bunch of Communist Fascists!

RE: It`s official...........

President Barack Obama, who returned to the White House earlier in the day from a nine-day trip to Hawaii and Bali, said he would veto any effort to bypass the automatic spending cuts.

“There will be no easy off-ramps on this one,” Obama said.

Democrats and Republicans blamed each other for the failure of the panel to make any recommendation.

“In the end, an agreement proved impossible not because Republicans were unwilling to compromise, but because Democrats would not accept any proposal that did not expand the size and scope of government or punish job creators,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R.–Ky.).

Democrat leaders Tweeted to their followers that Republican lawmakers were at fault for balking at tax increases, but also blamed the Tea Party and Grover Norquist?, the president of Americans for Tax Reform and the leading Beltway opponent of new taxes.

“I'm disappointed that Rs never found the courage to ignore Tea Party extremists & millionaire lobbyists like Grover Norquist,” Tweeted Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D. –Nev.). “Moving fwd, I hope the fear of the Tea Party & millionaire lobbyists like Grover Norquist will not prevent Rs from forging compromises w/Ds.”

Added House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in a Tweet: “GOP rejected a balanced plan & chose to keep their pledge to Norquist to protect wealthiest 1% at all costs.”

House Speaker John Boehner said he too was disappointed at the outcome, but praised Democrat and Republican committee members and said “I am confident the work done by this committee will play a role in the solution we must eventually find as a nation.”

Some Republicans were critical of all lawmakers on Capitol Hill, and Rep. Tim Scott (R.–S.C.) said the committee and its goals were destined to fail.

“While I am disappointed in today’s announcement, the failure of the Super Committee comes as no surprise. I voted against this arrangement from the beginning, as it was unrealistic to believe a group a 12 members could solve our problems when 535 could not,” Scott said.

Sen. Bob Corker (R.-Tenn.) called the end result “nothing short of an embarrassment” and “an absolute national disgrace and failure of leadership” that the committee could not “agree on a paltry $1.2 trillion in deficit reduction.”

Rep. Allen West (R.-Fla.) called the abrupt conclusion a “sad indictment” on all members of Congress” and citing the failure in the House last week to pass a balanced budget amendment, said “we as a collective body are pathetic.”

However, Sen. Rob Portman (R.–Ohio), one of the committee members, said Republicans worked in good faith to find common ground and offered up new revenues through tax code reforms but Democrats wanted more than a trillion dollars in tax increases and more stimulus spending.

“We failed to reach agreement because, despite good intentions on both sides, we simply couldn't bridge fundamental policy differences that reflect a broader disagreement in the Congress and country as a whole over the size and scope of government,” Portman said.

Sen. Pat Toomey (R.–Pa.) said the committee wasted an “extraordinary opportunity” to pay down on the deficit by reforming the tax system, specifically, his proposal.

“I am saddened and disappointed that we were unable to meet our goal when so many Americans were counting on us,” Toomey said. “Like the proposals offered by other bipartisan commissions, our proposal offered a mix of spending cuts, revenue, and job-creating tax reform that would have lowered tax rates for all Americans and reduced our deficit by $1.2 trillion. Unfortunately, our Democratic colleagues refused to agree to any meaningful deficit reduction without $1 trillion in job-crushing tax increases.”
