U.S. Troops and Vetrans LOVE Ron Paul

So, you'd vote for Ron Paul if it weren't for his wacky foreign policy?

U.S. military veterans and active duty soldiers overwhelmingly support Ron Paul for President in 2012. Find out why.

I am happy and my JOY is Full...
my body has nothing to do with it.

My happiness is found internally, it comes from deep within, not through outer surfaces.

And yes, I am satisfied with the job God has done in creating me.
His wisdom gives me knowledge of how to care for this body, by eating healthy foods, staying stress free, and remaining in communication with Him.

USA is a "Battleground"

You are right, Niko.
I am sorry, I thought I already had posted a thread on this and that this one was a followup. It's not here, so my "afterthought" is that I posted about this in someone elses thread or in one of my own. It does have the references outlined in it.

I do have the pdf of this bill in my computer and I have read thru most of it. Yes, it is a lot to read, and do you think our Senators actually read it before voting? Sadly, most times they do Not!

Please give me some time to hunt it down as I am unsure where I posted the info.dunno

Thanks!

USA is a "Battleground"

US Senate declares the entire USA to be a "Battleground".
By NikkiClark87 | Posted December 2, 2011 | Ohio

A bill passed late last night (93-7 votes) that declares the entire United States of America a battleground. What this means is that the U.S. Military can now operate with impunity, and grant the U.S. Military the unchecked power to arrest, detain, interrogate, and even assassinate United States citizens with impunity.

What this means is the United States is basically declaring war with itself. We need to shed light on this and make sure it does not become a law, otherwise we should just say good bye to the Bill of Rights and everything America used to stand for.

Here is the link to the bill in question.

What's your take on this?

Look UP...

"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." (Psalm 5:3)
You know the routine — it happens every morning. First, you wake up. Next, you get up. Why not go ahead and finish the process and LOOK UP. That's the best way to begin a day. Especially if things around you are on a downward spiral. You can look up when things are going down. Furthermore, you must.
It is a proven fact that a person will head in the direction they are looking. This is literally true, as well as figuratively true. Stop and consider for a moment what it is you spend most of your time "looking" at. Your eyes see it, your mind thinks it, your imagination dwells upon it, your soul desires it — and eventually you do it.
Why not give this pattern a chance to work in ways that matter most?
Look up unto to the Lord in the morning, while your mind is poised and your energies are fresh. Look up, and move up. See what He is saying to you, and then see yourself doing what He wants you to do. If you will cultivate this simple practice, this spiritual discipline, you will find yourself doing what the Lord wants you to do.
On the other hand, if you look down and see yourself defeated and depressed — then you will surely spend your day in a pit of despair. Look down; and you will go down. Look up; and you will go UP.
The Bible says, "They looked to Him and were radiant; their faces were not ashamed!" (Psalm 34:5). Isaiah put it this way, "Lift up your eyes all around.......then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy" (Isa.60:4,5).
One of the most beloved lyrics of all time says it simply the best — "Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." (Helen H. Lemmel, 1922)
My friend, look up. When everything around you seems to be going down — look up. If you will look up — the Lord will lift you up. So LOOK UP.
I'll see you at the top!

RE: Who should bail-out Europe?

Euro Crisis Destabilizing the Dollar

In response to pressure from Wall Street, the White House and central banks in Europe, the Federal Reserve last week drastically cut interest rates for currency swaps to benefit troubled European banks. This will flood world markets with more dollars and will soon mean rising prices for every American at the grocery store. This extra liquidity will temporarily ease the cash crunch for irresponsible bankers, but in the long run it will make the situation much worse for consumers all over the world. Equities markets registered big gains at the news, but only for a day. Make no mistake - this is not capitalism, and this is not how a free market operates. In a free market, bankruptcies happen, even to large banks. We must remember, free markets are the true and best regulators of financial mismanagement.

By contrast, under our current form of special interest corporatism certain businesses are granted too-big-to-fail status and are never allowed to go bankrupt. They keep profits generated during the good times generated by the Fed's monetary inflation, yet their losses are socialized through inflationary bailouts. This means you and your family eventually pay for the Fed's decisions because every dollar you earn is worth less. Few people make the connection that they have enriched bankers in Europe through doubling and tripling prices on milk, eggs, gasoline, and clothing, but that is exactly what is happening. The increased pace and size of these types of desperate financial maneuvers means price inflation will hit sooner and far too fast for wages to keep up. This is how the middle class gets wiped out, as has happened so many times in the past when fiat money fails.

The Fed's latest actions in cooperating with foreign central banks to undertake liquidity swaps of dollars for foreign currencies is just one more reason why Congress needs enhanced power to oversee and audit the Fed. Under current law Congress cannot examine these types of arrangements. Those who would argue that auditing the Fed or these agreements with central banks harms the Fed's independence should reevaluate the Fed's supposed independence when the Fed bails out Europe so soon after President Obama promised US assistance in resolving the Euro crisis.

Rather than calming markets, these arrangements should indicate just how frightened governments around the world are about the European financial crisis. Central banks are grasping at straws, hoping that flooding the world with money created out of thin air will somehow resolve a crisis caused by uncontrolled government spending and irresponsible debt issuance. But those governments and central banks never grasp that it is their own monetary policies that allowed European banks to become so wantonly overleveraged in the first place. If those banks need liquidity, they should generate it the old fashioned way: by attracting depositors. If they cannot do so, they should be allowed to fail. Congress should not permit this type of open-ended commitment on the part of the Fed, a commitment which could easily cost American taxpayers trillions of dollars. These dollar swaps are purely inflationary and will harm Americans as much as any form of quantitative easing.

Americans deserve sound money that cannot be manipulated and created out of thin air by central planners who deceitfully promise prosperity. Fiat money caused this European crisis and the financial crisis before it. More fiat money is not the cure. The global fiat currency system has proven itself a failure. We need real monetary reform. We need sound money.

Blagojevich gets 14 years for Corruption

A federal judge sentenced former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to 14 years in prison for corruption convictions Wednesday.

Blagojevich, who turns 55 Saturday, must start serving his prison term within 90 days, the judge ordered. He must also pay a $20,000 fine.
Blagojevich, a Democrat, was accused of trying to profit as he considered whom to appoint to succeed Barack Obama when he vacated his Senate seat to move to the White House.

What are your thoughts on Blagojevich's sentence?

Do YOU Hear Her?

Does Anybody Hear Her lyrics
Songwriters: Hall, John Mark;

She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying but the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

She is yearning for shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching for a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
[ From: ]
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her

If judgment looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we've never even met her
Never even met her, never even met her

Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me

Does anybody hear her? Does anybody see?
Does anybody even know she's going down today?
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people

Ron Paul moves UP in the Polls

A new poll out of Iowa suggests that the only GOP candidate to stand a chance of beating Obama one on one in 2012 is Congressman Ron Paul.

The NBC News/Marist Poll places Paul in third place with 17%, just 1% behind Mitt Romney, and well within the margin of error of second place.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich tops the poll with 26%.

Over the past few weeks Paul has consistently polled within the top three in Iowa and New Hampshire, and the latest numbers show he is closing in on the top spot.

Yet the most interesting facet of this latest survey is how the Congressman matches up in a hypothetical head to head with Obama.

The poll finds that the incumbent President betters all GOP competitors except for Ron Paul.

42% of registered voters in Iowa support Ron Paul and 42% back Obama, with 16 percent undecided.

In match ups with Romney and Gingrich, Obama comes out on top by 7 and 10 percentage points respectively, with 15 and 16% respectively undecided.

This highlights how Paul’s biggest hurdle is securing the nomination. There is no doubt that Obama would have a real fight on his hands to retain the presidency against Ron Paul.

Paul also leads Obama 42 to 35% among independent voters and attracts 15 percent of Iowa’s Democrats according to the survey. The Congressman also betters Obama by 14 percentage points among voters under 45 years of age.

Tellingly, Paul also leads the way over his GOP rivals with 25% among voters who see a candidate’s position on the issues, rather than electability or popularity, as the most important factor of their candidacy. Gingrich, on the other hand, leads among avid college football fans.

Speaking to CNN Sunday, Paul stated “You don’t win with just with a hard-core Republican base. You have to have a candidate that’s going to appeal across the political spectrum,”

Referring to himself as “The flavor of the decade” rather than the flavor of the month, in reference to the constant ups and downs of all the other candidates, Paul noted “I think with my views, they’re quite different than the hard-edge views (that) so many on the Republican side are frequently showing.”

Another Iowa poll, published Sunday by The Des Moines Register revealed similar results with Paul in second, with 18%, ahead of Romney at 16% and behind Gingrich at 25%.
