RE: Wondering if you guys are really real :)

"How does it feel to be completely unreal
How does it feel to be a voter
How does it feel to be a voluntary heel
I wonder who's it is
I see you queuing up outside Saint Peter's gate,
You can feel bonafide if you ride with the tide
But it's not real.

And outside on the dragon
And inside in the cold
Mammy's on the bandwagon, daddy's just getting old
And through the blood spew heavens
The roar of lust complains:
Please let me in I have no sin, but you know I'm not real."

RE: Would you go if there is a local CSers meeting setup?

It might have been more than fifty pages, I know the Missouri meet thread almost reached a hundred pages.
The most successful meets on here were in Dublin, but there are a disproportionate amount of Irish members on here...not entirely sure why that should be, but that's always been the case.
The Benidorm meet was well attended also, one that I really wish I could have made it to.

RE: Would you go if there is a local CSers meeting setup?

I remember that Larry, you certainly did put a great deal of effort into organising the meet. If I remember rightly, the meet up thread ran well over fifty pages, but as has happened on here before, the meet just fizzled out. There was a meet in Missouri organised a couple of years before which had many people signed up to it. The meet up thread for that ran for many months with lots of positivity and a promising turnout. I was even tempted myself to make the journey and look up an old friend of mine in Missouri. As it happened, as far as I could make out, around five people turned up much to the dismay of the person who organised it.

sigh

RE: Alone on Christmas

Indeed, it's good for the soul...thumbs up

RE: Alone on Christmas

If being alone at Christmas bothers you, try to get some volunteer work. Some of the best Christmas days I've had was helping out down the Salvation Army.

RE: Nelson Mandela has died.

The world was given a great gift, a great man, a man who taught countless numbers that love and forgiveness will always prevail over hate and resentment.
His legacy will live on and inspire others for many years to come.

RE: so what do you think of voluntary euthanasia ?

Hi Merri, it's really nasty in the uk today. Serious gales with gusts up to 100mph. Just had to gather up the contents of my wheelie bin from down the street after it had been blown over by the gales. Snow forecast for tonight also...uh oh

RE: Freedom of Speech?

Unless the vat man cometh!!!

Customs and excise don't need a warrant to enter and search the premises of anyone who they suspect are involved in vat fraud. Also I believe they can search the premises of any family, friend or associate of a vat registered person...uh oh

RE: Freedom of Speech?

Not any more Jac...

Stop and search
When can the police stop and search you

The police can stop and search any person, vehicle, and anything in or on the vehicle for certain items. However, before they stop and search they must have reasonable grounds for suspecting that they will find:

When the police stop and search you, they must provide you with the following information before the search can begin:

proof of their warrant card
information on police powers to stop and search
information on your rights
the police officer's name and police station
the reason for the search
what they think they might find when they search you.

RE: Freedom of Speech?

Doesn't quite work like that. My son has a black friend who he often calls darky or blacky, his friend replies with white honky or words to that effect. It's banter between friends and as such is taken without any offence.
However, should my son use those words towards a random black person, that would indeed be deemed as offensive.

RE: Freedom of Speech?

Then we will see how much free speech we really have on here...laugh

RE: Freedom of Speech?
