I always try to blend in. For instance, hen I arrived in Pakistan, the first thing I did was have a Salwar Kameez made for me...learning Urdu was a bit more difficult...
It was a great trip Ralph, packed an awful lot into it thanks to my friends Gary and Sarah who showed me around the more remote parts of the country....
The body can only absorb a certain amount of vitamin C. Any surplus just passes through, although this can cause discomfort such as nausea and diarrhea. Anything in excess can cause problems...even drinking an excessive amount of water can kill you...
Yes, that's for sure, but co- incidentally I watched an interview whilst waiting for my flight at Atlanta airport earlier in the week, where one of these so called experts went into great detail about why juicers are bad. I must admit, it sounded pretty convincing to me.
It seems juicing may not be the best way to digest fruit and vegetables.
Health myth of the juicing craze
It is a trend driven by celebrities and the perceived health benefits of making drinks with entirely natural ingredients. But “juicing” could actually be bad for you, experts have warned. Last week research published by the British Medical Association found that nurses, who ate whole fruit, especially blueberries, grapes and apples, were less likely to get type 2 diabetes, while those who drank fruit juice were at increased risk. Those who swapped fruit juice for whole fruits three times a week cut their risk by 7 per cent.
