I have to agree with you here ,Finacially it makes sense however you have to do what is right by you as I also believe in enjoying every moment! Life is short !
I love my independance , we all do!! I just want to find someone who wants to be independantly together .. Ps nothing wrong with a regular roll in the hay !
I have a vacant block on the left and John next door is selling so I dont know who ill end up with , The couple opposite are nice , we all just say hi and bye tho not real chummy .Will miss John tho great musician lots of jam sesssions had on the porch ahh well
I think buying a brand new car is a bit silly , You lose money immediatly better to purchace a second hand agency or gov car all the log books under 60,000 on the clock and less than half the new price .Ofcourse there is the pose factor But hey you can pose in aused car whos to say you didnt buy it new wink wink Depending on what you want to do , city /country ide concider petrol.gas and look into parts and services. If you have capital left invest in property even if its only a unit !
I feel rob we all understand the nature of suffering , for instance the starving masses in Africa , I dont see how by us watching it over and over studying it will in any way help us , the layman to apply any sort of antedote ?? I mean sure it creates empathy & promotes awareness but as others have pointed out it also gives hold to feelings of helplessness & despair leading to depression!Perhaps ive misunderstood your line of thought?
Hi Martia , Good thread ! Firstly lets keep in mind there are many degrees of depression, clinical depression is a mental illness unlike mild depression when we all as humans just feel a little sad.Managing depression is tricky as each person is different however there are triggers to avoid ,w atching rolling coverage of catalismic events such as bush fires foods earthquakes loss of lives and human suffering are not good for anyones mental health let alone someone suffering depression or anxiety, therefore we as individuals have to self regulate what goes into our brains , much the same as we dont let our kids watch back to back episodes of rubbish on tv we monitor what they see for their own good .The media have a job to do which is report what is happening in our world .Never before have we had the technology that allows us to have so many on the spot graphic images first hand reports within moments of an event anywhere in the world. We are "informed to the max" ! I do see your point , It can be mesmerisng , a bit like not being able to look away at an accident scene , we are a curious species , our thirst for knowledge is after all what has got us this far ,Does media exposure have a direct effect of depression? I believe it does ,should we blame the media ? No just switch off the TV.
Look at it this way Peb, when your looking into the face of a snarling slobering rottwieller face ....well Its a rottie, no ifs not buts , Its a rottwieler alright!
Recently we are all aware of the break in the Daniel morconbe abduction case ,It made me wonder what has happened to the many other people including kids who dissapear each year in Australia,Google missing persons and have a look, maybe youve seen someone or know something, I was shocked to see so many faces ide seen on the news over the years still missing , never have been found , Its sad how easy it is to forget about them , it was Daniels parents vigilence to keep him in the public thoughts that has led to this mans arrest , refresh your memory, you may see a familiar face.
Thats the thing You dont buy property for $500K !You use the equity in your own homeand buy cheap & rent it out the rent covers maybe 80% of your 2nd morgage but you now dont have to pay tax! The Tax you save pays the rest plus incidentals ! As the "Bubble Bursts people still need accomadation , especially those who will lose their homes.
RE: Buying a car ?
Another off the chart response ! You really should get that looked at!
