Ummm, He was married. His profile says divorced.
Ummm kinda sounds to me like he had a really rough divorce. Over here, many guys get told by their ex-wives they don't need to see their children, my ex-fiance has this problem. Don't know if Diogenes does though, but it really sounds to me like he was hurt real bad.

Same here. It was also awkward in the family,as only two cousins,( one on each side), were divorced. My Mom was so ashamed she and one of her cousins from Greece were arranging a marriage for me. B4 then I didn't even know I had a cousin from there!!!!

They were upset when I told them to butt out, as I would make my own decisions in marriage and life in general.

For years in family gatherings, I felt like a outsider as no one seemed to know how to talk to me.

That was hard. They had no problems B4 I got married. Kinda made me feel like when I got married my husband was theirs not me, b/c after he was gone, I felt like a ghost in my own family!!!

My late ex-husband gave me a homemade card with trees drawn all over it going into the deep woods, every tree had a heart cut into it. Inside he drew a single tree with a close up of the heart, in which he wrote J--- LOVES CYNDIE!!!! TELL THE WORLD!!!!. He got me the Platinum and diamond with a half moon of emeralds around it ring that I had admired.
He got on his knee in front of both of our families and asked me to mary him. Relationship was great for 5.5 yrs and stayed with him for 8 yrs until he was completely addicted to Drugs and alcohol, @ which point he became abusive.
