RE: What to do with a wedding ring after divorce

Mine got stolen when thieves broke in to our home a few years ago! That solved that problem. laugh

Except that I had decided to melt it down and create something brand new dunno

RE: Madrid Plane Crash

Ummmm, anyone from Qantas listening?uh oh

Nothing wrong with Qantas per se. It's just that the company has seen fit to outsource some of their engineering work offshore. And lately minor things like doors blowing open mid air, wings falling off thankfully on a runway, and little things like that to make the flying experience a bit more of an adrenaline rush, lol. laugh So it's kinda like Russian roulette, you will just never know which flight.

So, are you going to join me cristina? Let me google some really nice cafes in Florence. Hang on....applause

Or, better still, let's book a spot on the amalfi coast!

RE: Madrid Plane Crash

I replay all sorts of things in my mind on some flights, particularly if there is tons of turbulence, and the jet rattles to billio! Where is the nearest exit? Are we flying over sea or desert or buildings...? Will my vest open? Will I need it? I imagine my family receiving the news. Who will I meet on the 'other side'? Then the chief steward/ess interrupts my 'eulogy', and we are about to land. Whew!laugh

Anyway, all the above will come to the fore in 12 days when I embark on my long journey from my home to Florence, Italy. On this stretch, I must bring along all sorts of distractions. I do love flying really. I used to particularly love the take off. Now, I have a little less zest over this section of the flying experience uh oh But I'm not flying Qantas, our national airline, thank goodness! dancing (hope they don't read this, and sue me!!! laugh )

sorry about all the typos!

RE: Help! I'm severely depressed

Hi Raymond, Not at all a bad son. Allow yourself to be as openly angry as you want. Go off somewhere and shout at the top of your lungs if that helps. You've heard of the saying, You can't pick your family'? Well, you just happened to be connected through biological means. Trying to get people to like wastes a lot of energy, because you may be trying to be all things to all people. That in itself will make you feel pretty exhausted.

You are getting some terrific advice from other CS's, so stay on the forums.

I'd like to suggest you look up (let me know if I have made a mistake and will look it up for you). Sometimes, we have to act more directly on the brain. They sell this software which is fabulous. It is Brain Wave Entrainment. You can buy online and download straight away. I have the 'professional' version so I can modify for my clients. YOu will neea set of really good noise reduction stereoheadphones, and you can buy 'Sennheiser' from them. Then play around with it. The particular protocal to use is the 'Depression' (SAD), which is great to stabilise moods. Email me if you like once you get hold of it if you decide to do that. No side effects, though not good if you have seizures, or history of it, have pacemaker or pregnant(I assume latter 2 are out, lol). All the best.thumbs up

RE: I'm Looking For Someone Chat With

Hi Willz, I can't recall closing the IM window!uh oh

Anyway, I can only speak for myself, but if I don't know who is IM'ing me, then I will most likely close the window. Best to email the person first/send flower as first contact. Forums are a great place to get comfortable with CS's though.wave

ewwww, blood clots. Yes, must avoid those. Don't want them in my legs or anywhere. They have a habit of moving around uh oh

Good point about the walking. That is one thing I do, but easy to forget if one falls asleep, lol. Aha, red wine thins the blood though!wine

There goes another 'no alcohol' bell uh oh

OK, I won't, I promise, lol I have now been told by several CS's today, well and truly. Looks like I had better go open a bottle of red, then there's the bottle of French bubbly...(no, not all at once!)

Hi wave

What a great idea. I love knitting, but haven't done so for years now. However, I think knitting needles, plastic or otherwise, are now considered as weapons of mass destruction and so are banned from being taken on board!(along with eye brow tweezers!) laugh

Some tips please, for long distance travel soon

Oh, forgot to ask, with the iTouch, how easy is it to put movies/music on it? I have no idea about these things, but willing to try as long as not too complicated, as not much time left. wave

Hahaha.

About not shutting up. I had a tour guide recently going up to Uluru in the NT. Just had no idea about shutting up. I almost did gag her! Particularly as we were at aboriginal sacred sites with signs saying, 'a place of quiet...." Yep, if I'd had a gun, might have been tempted!laugh

Oh, great, I will bring that along. One of the must have's, I agree. You've just reminded me about making sure I bring some good muesli along. Thanks for allowing me to drink some alcohol! lol.laugh

OK. How to stay awake the Adelaide K/L leg if I don't sleep the night before. Gotta work on that one, hmmmm. Tylenol, I don't know that one, but will investigate, might look for natural equivalent. Maybe 10 valerian capsules! Thanks for all this!wave

Yes, Italy is fabulous, but my last visit was in '96, too long. My cousins will pick me up from Florence. Can't wait now. bouquet

RE: Once In A Life Time Someone Truly Special Comes Along

Hi again, I totally agree with you on that score. We can never spoil ourselves enough. Most of us don't. I guess it was the going ahead to post it on CS that I was referring to. But hey, that is your every right. Just wondered, you know, as per above, grin lol

Some tips please, for long distance travel soon

Hi everyonewave

I will be going on a very long flight soon, with next weekend being my last weekend at home. While I can say I am a pretty well seasoned traveller, I haven't gone this distance, that is from Australia to Europe (Italy specifically) in 12 years. Much has changed in the world of travel.

I would love to hear about any suggestions any of you might have, such as latest earplugs, eye masks, 'flying food' to take along....

It will be a long haul, with flying about 24 hours solid: Adelaide - Kuala Lumpur - Amsterdam - Florence, where I land. Whew! applause
