I like the little things in life, the shared times like a quiet walk holding hands, sitting together watching tv, or doing whatever...it's sharing a life together that I miss and long for most.
Yep...I thought I'd met the man I'd spend the rest of my life with, or at least a good, long part of the rest of it... alas, that time wasn't allotted to us.
Now, I hope to find that again...where two partners love each other just the way they are, and so totally that there's no doubt for either one. It would be nice...and I wish it for all who seek it.
I love his writings...a very wise man. I got to hear him speak in person last year in San Francisco. I've never forgotten the experience, nor a wise thing he said that has given me food for thought and stuck with me.
Hmmm...not me, I'm having fun here. I just don't get on as often as I'd like now 'cuz work gets in the way. And tonight, I want to relax and put my feet up in front of the tv.
Tom Diamond seems to have disappeared. Did I miss something there?
I'm monogamous, no doubt about it. I don't believe an "open relationship" is really a "committed" relationship...the two are mutually exclusive to me, and that's not a relationship I could get into. My parents always had the philosophy that you can look, but not touch...and I agree. No harm in looking, I think you're dead if you don't...just no touching.
Well, I agree more with your spelling error then...they are a "which" craft...which path should I take is a question that can be asked and answered.
Witch Craft is nothing more than tapping into Divine Energy and Natural Energy, and learning how to work with it...so, yes, since the tarot uses Divine Energy to divine, it could be part of Witch Craft as well.
Same here...most of my readings are actually just for myself as I'm still in the learning stages. However, I have a strong affinity with this form of divination...those readings tend to be backed up by things that happen in my life, and by readings from other, "professional" readers. I don't think I could ever charge for this to do it for others.
Yes, I believe that religion is a form of "witchcraft", and "occult"...or, more accurately, "cult" is what they all are, and they make a strong attempt at brainwashing their followers. Unfortunately, they succeed with some, which is why we have wars over religion.
I, too, have done a lot of studying and soul-searching to find my answers and beliefs. I have found a peace and truth within them that 40 years of Christian upbringing couldn't give me. I am glad you have also found your peace and truth. I believe that all are part of the whole truth.
Again, I'll disagree that God forbids it. God created everything, and we have free will, so how could God forbid anything? No, it's the Church, and therefore men, who forbid things. Not God.
I believe that both light and dark energy are part of the same Creative Source. Yin/yang...light and dark is within everything to make a whole. So, I believe that single source is God/Divine Energy/Universal Energy...what created all, and that both are part of it.
That's not what he meant...it was a joke...which craft.
And Jenny, yes, they do...just not with your version of God. You have a right to your belief, but that doesn't make mine wrong. I have a right to mine as well...you are right for you, I am right for me.
Druid, Witch...Pagan...Spiritualist...I go by all of these names, proudly, and I am not an evil person. And yes, I believe in God...just very differently and more broadly than you.
And God doesn't forbid anything...the Church forbade a lot out of greed. I can give you a lot of history lessons on the founding of the Catholic (and first dogmatic, powerful "Christian" Church that has guided all others). You might be amazed at what the foundations really were. Christ's teachings were about love and acceptance..."Love your neighbor as you love yourself"...I don't remember it adding "so long as he agrees with your beliefs".
I agree with you on this...the guidance I seek, though, comes from the Spirit World...Spirit Guides, Angels, Ascended Masters (ie, Jesus, Buddha, Kwan Yin, etc)...all are part of the Divine Energy of the Universe...there is much more out there if you open yourself up to the reality of it. Even the bible refers to all of that in a good way.
I'm sorry you feel that way...but, you're entitled to your beliefs. I totally disagree with you, though, for any insight given by the Universe is from Divine Energy, and that's not flawed.
Those of us who know what we're doing walking in the world of the Spirit also know how to make sure of what energies are allowed around us...and light/dark, good/bad...it's all part of the balance of the Universe...all part of Divine Energy...and all part of what we need as part of our human journey. The Native Americans accept all energies, since all are part of the Whole.
Yep...mine were this in reverse. I've never tried to change anyone...and this time I'm making sure that he doesn't want to change me. And, doesn't have these types of conversations...I hate those.
I needed to find more people like you when I was working in cemetery sales! Pre-planning is a great idea for exactly that reason!
Of course, you could be like me and not stick them with it 'cuz you want to be cremated and scattered...doesn't take up space in the Earth, either..."ashes to ashes, dust to dust"! Slainte
Nope...been on the other side of that coin twice, though. I have two ex-husbands (out of 3, the 4th is "late husband") who are exes b/c I found out they married me for who they thought they could help me become, or make me be, instead of for who I am...
Awesome, HL...even if I let go to god with a different perspective of it...this is still an awesome poem. And true. If you don't let it go to the Universe/Divine Energy, the Universe/Divine Energy can't take care of it for you.
Yes, I make that and a 16-bean mix soup quite a bit. I add minced garlic in my split pea soup. Also add that along with the onion in my bean mix soup. Do nottry the pea soup with kielbasi instead of ham, though. Just doesn't taste right. Live and learn.
Yep...I definitely have the same problem. I'm trying to break it, though...attempting to reform myself into a thrifty person. Isn't working real well, either. I needed to be a Taurus or Virgo instead of a Leo.
RE: I don't like to spend the rest of my life alone I need to share, to be loved and love in return.
I'll second that.I like the little things in life, the shared times like a quiet walk holding hands, sitting together watching tv, or doing whatever...it's sharing a life together that I miss and long for most.
