RE: What is the worst TV program/s in your Country? and why?

Sorry to hear you have a cold, Hugz...hope you feel better. Can one get them over the 'net from being on threads together? I'm fighting one coming on. wine

RE: Vote Counting Machines..........

Correction: the media story that Bush stole the election. Not a reality.

RE: Vote Counting Machines..........

I think that you're right, but I'm not sure. For as long as I've voted, I've used a computer.

RE: Where do you go, like to go on a first date?......................

Now, if you said something like Tehran...that would be a challenge! laugh

RE: Where do you go, like to go on a first date?......................

I have a guest room. You have a place to stay if you ever want to come in for a game...if you can tolerate my dogs.

However, one of my friends will have to take you to the game. I'm not a football fan. You'd love my friends, though!

RE: Where do you go, like to go on a first date?......................

I live just outside of it...as long as I don't have to drive there, I love going into the city occasionally! So, for me, it is a breeze!

And Ship, that means you're pretty easy to live with, btw! Silly!

RE: Your favourite pastimes?

Events/Happenings:

1. Drum circles/gatherings
2. Spiritual classes/events and celebrations (TG, one coming up later this month for Mabon/Autumn Equinox!)
3. Concerts
4. Art/craft classes

Pastimes:
1. Gardening
2. Reading
3. Cross-stitch
4. Meditation

RE: how will

Actually, I agree with that. My stance (and party affiliation) would then be Libertarian. I'll vote for the candidate I feel will most protect our freedoms every time, and lately, that hasn't been Democrats. I think that if we opened up the arena, we might get some less corrupt candidates and some much needed fresh breath in our political arena.

RE: The Birth of Moses and Barak Obama

Agreed. cheers

RE: The Birth of Moses and Barak Obama

Ya think? confused

That point, I'll agree with you on, Crotty P. cheers

RE: how will

Again, it seems that you think that those who think differently from you are brainwashed. I believe that actually you are...you're brainwashed by the democratic media. So sorry for you. Those of us who think freely, think Republican.

And btw...you always have the option to return to Russia. Cya!

RE: biggest coward in the world

I notice that although you live in the states, you say "you Americans", "your president"...so, don't like it here? Return to Russia.

If you decide to stay here, you'll need to become a citizen, hence also an American...makes our president, yours too.

RE: The Birth of Moses and Barak Obama

Yes, that would be why I said I would need to know more before I answered that part. I'm not sure from what he wrote if the baby was aborted late in the 1st trimester, or late in the 3rd trimester. If it was the 1st trimester, the chances that it was viable are slim. Late in the 3rd is a different story.

RE: Where do you go, like to go on a first date?......................

I don't like dinner as a first date because it's not always comfortable to eat and talk. A second date, though, yes.

I hate movies as a first date because you can't talk at all...or at least, you shouldn't out of respect for the others watching it.

I would rather go for a walk in a public park or go play miniature golf (putt-putt in my neck of the woods). Or go to an amusement park or the zoo. Something where you can have fun and talk, then continue the date if you're having a lot of fun.

RE: how will

Just for the record, Rush Limbaugh is an idiot, and he does NOT speak for all Republicans.

And I think for myself, look at the information available, then dig deeper. Nobody has brainwashed me...I am not that weak-minded. Or do you believe that everyone who doesn't believe as you do must be brainwashed?

RE: Why do older women have a problem when a younger man tells them, they dont want a relationship?

Thank you.

I shared it because I hope it gives hope to others. He had been burned so badly as to say he never wanted that again, yet he didn't reject it when it happened. I would hope that happens for others here who have become bitter and cynical like he was. And I hold hope that I will find it again someday.

However, HG (above...don't know how to do multiple quotes), I love Jeopardy! I agree with all of the others, though a lot of people like the news shows.

RE: Why do older women have a problem when a younger man tells them, they dont want a relationship?

I believe your point wasn't that you were rejecting them, but that they were telling you that you would feel differently some day about wanting a relationship.

Maybe the older women are assuring you from their more experienced viewpoint that you will find someone and sing a different tune someday. That would be why I would say that to a younger man who says he doesn't want a relationship.

Yes, you've been burned at some point. So have we all. However, not all women are the same, just as not all men are the same. It's a matter of finding the one who is right for you.

I'll repeat here what I posted on another thread: my late husband hadn't had a serious relationship for 20 years when we met, and he wasn't looking for one. At 51 (when we met), he was content to be alone. Then we met, evolved into friends, then handfasted (old celtic ceremony) within months. A year later we got legally married, something neither of us had planned to do. I made the last two years the happiest of his life, and he did the same for me for those two years. Neither of us regretted it.

So, you say you don't want a relationship, I say I believe that someday you'll change your mind, for you are young. I hope that someday you find a wonderful woman who loves you just the way you are, and for whom you feel the same way. It's beautiful when you find that.

RE: Have ever had a time when you feel down.. and you shouldn't

Hope you feel better, XO. I've had days like that, when I'm just so down I can't find the energy to do anything at all...and when I do, I do just that....go back to bed (if I can).hug

RE: how will

That still doesn't mean the votes were stolen. Sorry, your logic fails to make sense to me. The democrats just didn't want to accept that they were defeated honestly, so they've used this as a ruse. I don't believe everything the media spoonfeeds the public, hence I'm not a sheep, but a republican. cheers

RE: religous bigotry

handshake Absolutely, Flower! That's why I'll discuss my beliefs, but never do I try to convert or persuade anyone to them. I only talk about it if someone asks, or the conversation comes up and others are presenting their beliefs.

They'll work if they're meant to, Mastic. Don't try to force them! rolling on the floor laughing teddybear

RE: how will

And that equals stealing the votes because....??? dunno dunno

RE: Xmas list for Santa.

I usually shop last-minute, and only for my kids and friends. My family is back up in my home state of NH and we agreed not to exchange gifts years ago. I celebrate Yule, though, on the Solstice, not Christmas.

I can't answer as to whether I'll decorate with a Yule Tree or not, but probably not with my dogs (They'd knock it over and hurt their paws on the ornament hangers). I will, however, put out the cloth trees and table runner that my mom made me last year. (They're really cool 'cuz she made trees out of material with white poinsettias on it, and hung gold stars on them. Respecting my nature-based Path, she gave me a miniature representation of a forest. She knew I wouldn't feel like putting up a tree last year.) Putting up lights will depend on whether I can get someone to hang them for me...then I'll just leave them up. I love the lights!

RE: What is the worst TV program/s in your Country? and why?

Oh...and Jerry Springer! I hate his show, too! It's nothing but people fighting and causing high-drama scenes. Don't need that in my life, ty.

RE: What is the worst TV program/s in your Country? and why?

Soap Operas...because they're soap operas (we have lots of them here)

Reality TV...who came up with this idea? I miss sitcoms! I don't care how many worms someone can eat, and don't want to watch it.

I know I'm doing categories, not particular shows, but it's because I hate all of the shows in those categories and there are too many to list individually. Btw, I'm one of the few people I know who doesn't watch Survivor...the other few are my closest friends.

RE: religous bigotry

That would be the only religious bigotry I have...I don't like those who Talk the Talk, but then don't Walk the Walk.

I had a guy that was interested in me, but told me that many people (at the club we both hang out at) were telling him to stay away from me because I'm strange and different. I know who some of them are, and I know why...I am openly Pagan in a place where racial and religious bigotry run rampant. I am uniquely me in an area where "different" is shunned. Those same people who have said that are nice to my face and talk to me, and cling to their belief that they are Christians. Yet, if anyone there needs help, I am there to do so. I have donated things to the club and helped people there who needed it. So....who Walks the Walk of their beliefs? I find it interesting.

One of them, I said it was because she's Christian and I'm Pagan, and he snorted, and said, "Kerrie is not a Christian!)

Oh, and not all at that club are like that...that's why I stay, despite the knives in my back. I just ignore those, and keep being me.

wave Morning, everyone!

We didn't steal any elections, so why would we steal this one? handshake

RE: Best ever Rock Single?

Ah, Daniel, a piece of wisdom I have learned...never say never, the Universe has a way of laughing at you.

My late husband felt that way, hadn't dated anyone in 20 years (no lie...he'd had flings, but nothing serious). Then we met, evolved quickly into friends, then a serious relationship. We handfasted (celtic marriage ceremony that wasn't done as a legally recognized ceremony) within months. Legally married one year later because we realized he was sick. (We had said we'd never do that.) He had never been married before at the age of 52, and never intended to be.

I made the last two years of his life the happiest two years of his life. Never say never. handshake
