We believe that investors should not have all their eggs in one basket. It is too risky. The Australian market accounts for less than 3% of global market capitalisation. Unfortunately, Home Country Bias is a well documented problem and Australians suffer this infliction to a greater extent than most other nationalities. Diversification is the best free-lunch on offer in the markets and we want to help investors take advantage of this phenomenon on an international scale so that they have a sustainable future as traders, investors, and clients.

RE: Internet

I use telstra mobile phone network for my internet.
I connect my computer via Wi-Fi to the mobile phone network.
Pre-paid I purchase AU$150.00 block (50gig) of data that is good for one whole year, though it usually only last me around 3 to 4 months. I get to use what i pay for, its as fast as it 4g gets, i think charged at $1.27 per MB.
When, or just before i use it up I purchase another block. I do not have a landline telephone and travel quite a bit so that suits my needs Ali

Four ships 'sabotaged' in the Gulf of Oman amid tensions

Saudi Arabia confirmed that two Saudi oil tankers sustained "significant damage".

Another vessel was Norwegian-registered, whilst the fourth was reportedly UAE-flagged.

The U.S. official said each ship sustained a 5- to 10-foot (1.5- to 3-meter) hole in it, near or just below the water line, suspected to have been caused by explosive charges.

Farmer up the road showed me his brand new 75 cc chinese chainsaw today, really lovely bit of gear, AU$160.00 delivered to his door.
The Yuan otherwise known as Renminbi that's floating about in in trade war giving rise to Donald Ducks plucking.
The Renminbi in Foreign Exchange
During the command economy, the Chinese Yuan Renminbi was set to unrealistic exchange values and as a result, severe currency guidelines were put in place. When China's economy opened in 1978, the Yuan Renminbi was only used domestically and foreigners used exchange certificates; this led to a powerful black market. From 1997 to 2005, the Chinese government pegged the Chinese Yuan Renminbi to the US Dollar at approximately 8.3 CNY to 1 USD. In 2005, a flexible mechanism of exchange rates was phased in, with the RMB being re-evaluated to 8.1 Renminbi per US dollar. The Chinese government launched a pilot program in 2009, allowing some businesses in Guangdong and Shanghai to execute business and trade transactions with counterparties in Hong Kong, Macau, and select nations. The program has since expanded to all areas of China and all international counterparties. China has also made agreements with Australia, Japan, Thailand, Russia, and Vietnam to allow for direct currency trade, instead of converting to the US Dollar. As a managed float, the Renminbi's value is determined by a basket of foreign currencies.

RE: Vietnam

The only thing the French stuck together in Vietnam was mass murder after the stupid catholic pricks invaded the country. Eisenhower continued the stupid christian attempt to screw the people of Vietnam when the idiot, along with Australian prime minister put together S.E.A.T.O in 1954 and attempted to resettle all the christian converts in north Vietnam in South Vietnam, America shipped thousands of christian Vietnamese into the south and gave the Christians land owned by South Vietnamese Buddhists.
TTKSpectr your talking utter rubbish:
Buddhism in Vietnam (Ð?o Ph?t or Ph?t Giáo in Vietnamese), as practised by the ethnic Vietnamese, is mainly of the Mahayana tradition. Buddhism may have first come to Vietnam as early as the 3rd or 2nd century BCE from the Indian subcontinent.

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

A guy gave me a book once called the Way of Zen

Before i studied Mahayana a guy in a pizza shop in Brisbane Hugh, he gave me the book called The Way of Zen, I spent a lot of time reading and putting into practice advice given in it.
Like in I spent days contemplating whether a tree in a near by park existed, if it did, in what way did it. That book offers good advice.
Friends of the same guy introduced me to numerology, Dave and Sandy a Jewish couple they were right into numerology. I need to correct numerology is not Mahayana practice, but interesting, entertained my mind for quite a long time.

Then I checked out a born again christian group near Nambour in Qld, however I didn't feel comfortable with that.

And finally ended up taking teachings over few years at Chenrezig Institute in Queensland.

During ww2 Tibet and Japan shared time exchanging niceties and that I now understand triggered invasion by Mao Zedong as of course Chinese were not at all happy with the Japanese invasion or there conduct.
(to my mind that subject goes to what i mentioned before, Mahayana is a complete form of Buddhism)

The only way to know is through formal study.

They beat us in Korea, they beat us in Vietnam and they ended up with all the oil in Kuwait scold professor

RE: Why don’t NATO countries appreciate & respect the USA keeping Russia and China out Europe?

If that were the case then you imported USA$557.9 billion dollars worth of crap last year

U.S. goods and services trade with China totaled an estimated $737.1 billion in 2018. Exports were $179.3 billion; imports were $557.9 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with China was $378.6 billion in 2018.

China is currently our largest goods trading partner with $659.8 billion in total (two way) goods trade during 2018. Goods exports totaled $120.3 billion; goods imports totaled $539.5 billion. The U.S. goods trade deficit with China was $419.2 billion in 2018.

RE: Why don’t NATO countries appreciate & respect the USA keeping Russia and China out Europe?

Tariffs on US$200 billion of Chinese goods have been increased from 10 per cent to 25 per cent as the United States followed through with the threat issued by US President Donald Trump earlier this week.

Prices will be heading up and be interesting to see who's talking crap now

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

Hi Bodleing
He know's of a center address nearby where he lives mate.
Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling is a Tibetan Buddhist centre of Study and Meditation. ... you will find the centre at the top of Parakiore Road, Whangarei, Northland,

All comes down to motivation, pure motivation pure outcomeswave

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

The teachings are always free, some times Centers ask for donation to assist covering cost of visiting teachers they invite as the center pays the teachers expense's. They have resident teacher there. I'm certain nobody will discriminate against anyone. If you have any concerns ask to speak with center director (be some dud like me)-(i used to be one) Long time ago i had contact with that center, and Tibetan friend of mine over here Tibetan Tibetan Thangka painter Karma Phuntsok who lives in Australia.
Karma traveled to that center and painted Thangka paintings over a few weeks. I notice they now have a resident Thangka painter at that center. You should feel comfortable asking questions of (not straight up with the Geshe-La who who however you might be able to request an interview with if you do have issues) but the other Tibetan's say hello, perhaps explain I am new do you mind explaining (whatever).

The Thangka paintings are teachings they are not just pretty pictures, every aspect in the painting explains some profound subject explaining Dharma (be humble mate) Tibetans live for the Dharma and I'm pretty confident you just be straight up, honest as are in this forum and you'll get along fine mate.

If you have issues you can message on here I'll do my best...

Please remember China just purchased a whole lot of nice new passenger jets from France, not Boeing...please also take notice the situation in Venezuela is related to the One Belt Initiative, note France is a member, note Italy is a member.
The Belt and Road Initiative is geographically structured along several land corridors, and the maritime silk road. Infrastructure corridors encompassing around 60 countries, primarily in Asia and Europe but also including Oceania and East Africa. The Belt and Road Initiative accounts for over 40% of international trade settlement. RE: Question for the Buddist's.

The different types of Buddhism (paths) all lead to the same end goal, e.g. liberation from the sufferings.

The Karmapa school (see post 93) represents an unbroken path right back to the time the time Buddha taught, in whats now known as Nepal. The unbroken linage of Karmapa mind stream' human form birth is the 17th Karmapa incarnation. See Karmapa lineage History:

14th Dalai Lama linage arrived later in Tibet (I think) when Atisha taught Tibetans.

Dalai Lama website link:

Often I notice folks on CS express views relating to the existence of a one god, holding that view leads individuals to an awful lot of confusion.
I am saying other than in folks heads (which your entitle to) there is not even the slightest chance there ever was a one-god a one creator. A completely deluded confusing perception of reality. Life has existed for Trillions of years and the 3000 year old half baked stories are to my mind, nothing but harmful cults.
That's well meant

RE: Risks

Depends how you perceive a risk, biggest risks are at the top of the heap try considering the following:

Russia-China real gold standard means end of US dollar dominance

The BRICS are considering an internal gold trading platform, according to Russian officials. When this happens, the global economy will be significantly reshaped, and the West will lose dominance, predicts a precious metal expert.

In 2016, 24,338 tons of physical gold were traded, which was 43 percent more than in 2015, according to Claudio Grass, of Precious Metal Advisory Switzerland.

According to London gold clearing statistics for 2016, the total trading volume in the London Over-the-Counter (OTC) gold market is estimated at the equivalent of 1.5 million tons of gold. The volume of 100oz gold futures on New York's COMEX reached 57.5 million contracts during 2016 or 179,000 tonnes of gold, the analyst notes.

The amount of mined gold is much smaller

“If we now take into consideration that only approximately 180,000 tons of gold have actually been mined up to today the scam is just gigantic and obviously unsustainable. The paper scams in London and New York will either blow up when the paper price of gold drops to zero or when just a fraction of investors insists upon receiving physical gold in return,” Grass said.

The expert believes that with paper gold trading, the established gold exchanges could cease to exist sooner or later.

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

You me and everybody else's essence without even the slightest doubt to my mind, which I have very carefully considered in the Tibetan tradition and found I am undefinable.
Our human form is energy and is for all other sentient beings to (beings that have mind and fear death) all of us have been migrating from life to life since beginningless time. Every single sentient being has many times given birth to us, fed and protected us, countless times.

Our nature is not our physical form, our temporary body form is made up of constant change, constantly replacing cells, each and every cell is been constantly been replaced bound up in time so have been our bones. There is no aspect of our human form that exists just from its own side, all of the "I" that we perceive as Robert or any other label people place on human beings or animals just labels, our true nature is energy, moving energy that has been migrating from life to life since beginningless time been taking rebirth after rebirth driven by the causes.
Nothing can become a nothing, the whole world, the whole universe is in a constant flux of change, nothing is permanent, ever lasting...
The Buddhist subject in regard to this subject if known as emptiness

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

"Can anyone enlighten on why buddist ignore negativity"!

its very simple Buddhist do not ignore negativity that a ridicules proposal

Buddhist practice the middle way (which you will never understand if you don't study it) the middle way teaches like and dislike are both afflictions.
Buddhist observe and hopefully develop compassion towards others rather than harshly judge others which afflictions of like and dislike otherwise leads to.

When someone we wont mention not so long ago blurted out execute so and so, then i shake my head in surprise because clearly that unmentioned some-one on here, is very ignorant of depending arising's, the causes that lead to an event, and the stupid notion that killings other sentient beings some how resolve something.

like and dislike are both afflictions, it does not mean Buddhist have ignored subject of observation

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

I agree with Bodleing2

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

Buddhism is a philosophy, to understand Buddhism you need to study it. Bit like driving a car you need to learn about it.
Buddhism is simple according to some, in reality, deep, very profound and rather hard to comprehend.

Because i was luckily as I was taught to drink heavily by the New Zealand Army, who had put me on the Navy Rum List for a year and a half before sending me to war driving around Saigon mostly unarmed for 13 months offten been shot at. My duty carefully following the strict instructions not to drink the water as it was decease ridden, we were given access to 40 oz bottles of Jack Daniels at the usual US$1.52c (yes the f'n christians think of everything) I was quite accustomed to thinking and drinking, after returning NZ a puff of this or that probably didn't do a lot of harm either.

BUT THE DHARMA is very deep, very heavy that transmits deep insight into actual reality.

After learning how to still ones mind, teachings eventually, hopefully, gets imprinted on ones mind-stream while one is of course stone cold sober. On sight much like the ten commandments apply.

Of course carefully paying attention over many hours (maybe ten hours none stop explanations explaining what does that mean Lama teachings) one much later by mindfully observing ones mind over a couple of years might fall upon profound understanding of what the Lama actually, can take long time.
I mean every single word i just wrote mate
Buddhism is a philosophy used hopefully even in your future rebirths. Since beginningless time we have all been sowing the seeds of our tomorrows (karmas) that lay in wait for the right condition to arise. THEY ARE CERTAIN.

RE: Question for the Buddist's.

There are different Buddhist Schools of thought,
Zen (Japan),
Theravada Buddhism developed in Southern India and then traveled through Sri Lanka, Burma, and into Thailand, Cambodia,
Mahayana Vietnam, Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal
copy and paste says:
Major difference between Hinayana and Mahayana. Mahayana worships the bodhisattvas and read the Mahayana sutras while Hinayanists do not perform these.

Loose explanation from your truly:
It is my understanding Mahayana is the only complete form of Buddhist teachings, Hinayana can and do study an aspect of Mahayana (is over the top of my head) but there is an aspect pertaining to compassion only Mahayana teaches.

Some Tibetan Monks fought against the Chinese invasion of Tibet, when India requested his HH Dalai Lama supply troops on occasion Pakistan invaded part of India, HHDL did.

Vietnam beat stupid bloody Christian invasion's of Vietnam (includes ours) the French attempted to impose there rubbish on Vietnam for over 100 years, they fought them every step of the way.

On other hand it is my understanding enlightenment translates to "going beyond"

our nature is energy and if we cease creating the causes of suffering we no longer take suffering rebirth, having said that, the mentioned energy is beginningless and without end...

The Buddha taught non violence, offered antidotes to the sufferings, method in the madness of life's ills
hope that helps
