RE: BREXIT STICKING POINT?

a basket of opinion : -

If a majority of MPs vote against Mrs May's Government, Labour would have 14 days to prove, by a vote, that it could command a majority and form its own government.

That would allow Labour to take control of the country without going to an election.

The route to a second referendum on Brexit — or a people's vote — is unclear.

But, unless the plan to give control of the process to Parliament is successful, it would require the backing of the Government of the day. A new referendum can be called only if it is approved by Parliament.

The Government could seek to extend the negotiating period with the EU to give it time to try to reach a better deal, hold a general election, or conduct a second referendum.

The UK is scheduled to leave the EU at 11:00pm (local time) on March 29 under the current divorce terms.

The Government could also withdraw its notice of intention to leave the EU, which the European Court of Justice has ruled it can do without consent of other EU countries.

Mrs May has said she does not want to delay Britain's exit from the EU, and will not revoke the notice of intention to leave.

The June 2016 Brexit referendum was a culmination of this lengthy and fraught history. The purpose of the referendum was to resolve the European question: was Britain to leave or remain?

Unlike in 1975 when Britain voted to join with Europe, the result was less than clear. Nationally Leave prevailed by the narrowest of margins (51.9 per cent of the vote). Only the English (53.4 per cent) and the Welsh (52.5 per cent) even voted to leave. Scotland voted to remain by a significant margin (62 per cent) as did Northern Ireland (55.8 per cent).

RE: May is running scared

back benches think they can over rule government but can they... scold

A failure to deliver Brexit would be "a catastrophic and unforgivable breach of trust in our democracy", Prime Minister Theresa May has warned.

Not doing so risks the UK leaving the EU with no deal or Brexit not happening at all, she said.

The PM is widely expected to lose the vote on the withdrawal agreement she reached with the European Union, something some ministers have said will lead to Brexit "paralysis".

The UK is due to leave the EU on 29 March 2019 automatically, whether the deal is passed by MPs or not.

RE: May is running scared

ah she can't fail, if they dump her (which they now can't) then by default UK would exit anywaywave

RE: Yellow vest bank run.

Yellow vest protesters to withdraw all their euros in massive run on French banks, they might but I think then EU would step in.

RE: The Epic Clash of Queens

How head of State is Elizabeth however she doesn't interfere in the daily activities of our parliamentary democracy.
The Governor General of Australia is her representative, and seldom interferes, though the GG did dismiss one Labor government it was dismissed because it didn't have the numbers to maintain supply.
Not much in the way of rights is in Australian, exception is implied right to vote but that;s not always the case. Australian Constitution doesn't set out rights, but stipulates the election of and the separation between parliament and the judiciary, sets out the powers and limitations of government etc etc.
Aunty Liz our head of State, in respect to constitutional matters does nothing , which is a whole lot better than some elected clown implementing decisions, which many countries including yours suffer from.

I don't think any democracy actually represents the peoples views, best as i can tell all politicians promote there own personal leanings, or leanings of a party they are members of. That includes America and Russia, Syria, Australia, New Zealand etc etc,

Bit different New Zealand's parliamentary democracy whose head of State is also aunty Liz.
NZ has an unwritten Constitution based upon a Bill of Rights Act and leans i think, closer to the peoples interests than other forms of governance that i know of, save other than Bhutan...wave

there is some talk about it been flash news, but also for quite some time been quite lot mentioned about documents filed. Just because documents have been filed doesn't imply guilt, just that documents have been file, probably some have. Lot of what we know was filed is still secret, fbi clown, cia clown who are raising allegations against Trump that are been heard, ongoing but not made public so i think wait and see

RE: Mattis Quit ... is the world

Former US Presidents George Bush Jr., Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former CIA Director John Brennan, former National Intelligence Director Robert Clapper and former FBI Director James Comey appeared to have vanished since the US government closure on December 22. 2018. Most of them were videotaped being served what was thought to be indictments during former President H.W. Bush’s funeral on November30, 2018.

Over 70,887 sealed indictments were filed in federal courts across the nation during 2018. Charges against the US Presidents and other political elites were thought to include treason and their roles in 9/11, the Fushima Nuclear Explosion, Benghazi Massacre, mass murder in Haiti and elsewhere, gun and drug running, human trafficking, child exploitation, kidnapping and murder, selling U.S. uranium resources to Russia in exchange for bribes, money laundering through the illegal Federal Reserve and IRS and not implementing the freedom from debt GESARA Law that was signed off by the US Supreme Court during the Clinton presidency.

RE: You want a wall?

china threatened to flood australia with chinese boat people when john howard first opened discussions with the chinese government.
Perhaps the convoy of people heading towards america were schooled to seek better living standards further north i dunno but seems likely they have been organized or assisted to head in that direction.
Like the imams telling the faithful to go forth and populate non muslim societies a type of warfare.
However america stole land of the mexicans, they made negative karma at the time they stole land when they forced the 1848 treaty of guadalupe hidalgo onto the mexican government, even though they turned over 18 million the people didn't get it an unjust settlement that ended a war that enforced the mexican cession of the northern territories of alta california and Santa fe de nuevo méxico that the united states stole.

karmas go round and round and cannot be resolved by any form of violence...getting back to the root cause be a good starting point to address any later negativity including communist attack using ignorant civilians

Volkswagen adds Porsche turbo diesel power to the Amarok ute range
Volkswagen has introduced Porsche’s Cayenne V6 turbo diesel power to the Amarok ute, making it the biggest gun in town among one-tonne utes with 165kW/550Nm (the latter figure almost a match for an HSV Clubsport).

The engine is reserved for the top models: the Highline and the newly named Aventura, which are likely to cost between $55,000 and $70,000 when they arrive in local showrooms later this year.

RE: Mattis Quit ... is the world

US national debt stood at $21.974 trillion at the end of 2018

The U.S. debt to China is $1.138 trillion as of October 2018. That's 29 percent of the $3.9 trillion in Treasury bills, notes, and bonds held by foreign countries. The rest of the $21 trillion national debt is owned by either the American people or by the U.S. government itself.

China has the greatest amount of U.S. debt held by a foreign country. Japan comes second at $1.018 trillion, followed by Brazil at $314 billion. Ireland holds $287 billion, and the United Kingdom owns $264 billion.

China has held more than $1 trillion in U.S. debt every year since 2010.

RE: Mattis Quit ... is the world

i've a son i think is still in very-gay-parie, someone offered them the use of an apartment, i mentioned the protest, and he was of the view there was very small number of yellow shirts involved.
So I researched online news, came up with a few points he had clearly not had regard to. (probably takes after his mother)

As best as i now recall, most of the 65,000 personnel attended protests, not in Paris rather at crossings on the Belgium boarder..

RE: Are Isaac Asimov’s Three laws of Robotics key to humans leading lives of leisure ?

4th law teach your yacht to roll back upright...just in news 3 hours ago

American former sailor Abby Sunderland said her "heart skipped a beat" upon hearing her abandoned yacht Wild Eyes was found off the coast of South Australia.
Key points:

Abby Sunderland's yacht Wild Eyes was spotted on New Year's Eve
Yacht was abandoned eight years ago after Sunderland encountered rough seas
Sunderland said video footage she recorded before abandoning the yacht may still be in waterproof cases

The upturned, barnacle-clad vessel was found by a tuna-spotting plane about 11 nautical miles south of Vivonne Bay, Kangaroo Island at 12.30pm on New Year's Eve — eight years after it was abandoned in June 2010.

At the time, Ms Sunderland, then 16, was attempting to become the youngest person to circumnavigate the world solo, but encountered rough seas which dismasted her yacht halfway between the Western Australian coastline and Africa.

RE: Link to daniela's microchip thread

best as i can tell GoDaddy hosts this site and looks like COMODO is policing CS to protect our computers {cough cough} and it probably is

If i hold mouse over a Google Chrome page the green padlock on that page says the page is protected by Google Trust Services

So i am saying it is possible that hidden text can be berried in image files that people are often posting in these forums hidden text that can for example, turn your video camera on without you been aware that is has been

so not complicated however we should i think have some consideration for other members security when dropping images sourced online into our threads
That is not say you have done anything of the kind, in fact i opened your thread pages and it had green padlock on every one

BUT

RE: Link to daniela's microchip thread

Comodo Web Inspector Starter is a powerful cloud-based malware scanning service which uses advanced technologies for malware and virus scanning.

once upon a time a long time ago I made the mistake of installing comodo anti-virus program and had a very hard time removing it off my computer, even found comodo folder not so long ago even though i eventually ran a clean comodo took to get rid of it
