I think what I mean is that more people are having 2/3 or more relationships in a life time and we (sometimes unknowingly) drag our baggage along but then set down precedents dependant upon our experience, not the other person we meet.
After all the fantasy dinners - which 12 CS'ers would make it round for dinner at your house? As this is 2012 or 2045 it has to be 6 male and 6 female And what's on the menu?
But the people who comment on here are definably single for the most part, I think my feeling on the whole online experience is that people converse more and connect less.
this suprises me too - cos you're a very astute kind of woman and when you do find that man, he'll be lucky and wouldn't mess it up with anything as ridiculous as what he had and left.
Not even with her mortgage repayments, credit scores, her business going down the tubes if she walks away and defaults? No "what's the story"? - really?
On the back of Millie's post - I have chatted to guys who said they live in the same house as an ex partner but current economic situation means they have to live "together" I also have female friends in this situation. So would you accept it if your potential date/partner explained it ?
Oh yes - or better still when they decide to be teacher ... from my eldest "Everyone wears knickers. Or pants. You say knickers but Tiernan's mum says pants. Except God. And dead people."
There you go. It's easy to try and explain a point on here than get around her sense of logic and conviction.
Aren't you posh - with all the proper games? We do the one were you draw a picture on a bit of paper and stick it to the next persons forehead. Scrabble - that happens when there's the last biscuit on the plate ? Monopoly - the good bit of the day when I get the kids are in bed and I get some time to myself.
Have to say it's a closed book to me - the baby sis goes to Holland for the gaming championships (and to be a stoner of course). One of her friends won 30K (cash and sponsorship) for being the top gamer a couple of years back - think it was for mortal combat... but like I say, it's definitely not my forte. Just seems mental they'd pay that to someone for playing a game.
In all of your replies there's no mention of how you felt about him or if you fancied him , it's a two way street - not just a matter of finding someone who'll date you but more importantly someone you want to date. Just feels as if you are not putting yourself first.
Which do you choose when it comes to buying things that do cost you more locally? I went to buy a computer cartridge this weekend and the first 4 places I tried did not stock the one I wanted (and were office suppliers/ stationers/ computer stores) . The last was my nearest supermarket and amazingly was cheaper than Tesco but at €17.99 for one cartridge does not compare with the €24.95 I paid for 25 compatible cartridges. (OK I know the ink wont be guaranteed to last 100 years but who'll be around to check?) When it comes to things like garages, tyres, petrol, computer repairs & groceries then I do shop local but other things I will look abroad for...
Made me think - will we extend our own recession if we continually look beyond our borders for products and services?
I did christen my children but it was out of respect to my partner's family & to recognise that their beliefs ( although not mine)are a valid - I would not stand as godparent to a child. Lately, I think I will let my children embrace any part of Catholicism or any other religion that they choose to embrace - as it is not for me to dictate to them, or anyone else for that matter.
Having decided to try that old "walk on the beach" cliche with a guy who had come down from Kildare, found it swarming with a garda technical team as a body had washed up ... & that wasn't the worst one
Sometimes I am envious of those who have convicted unshakeable faith, not to abdicate responsiblity of my life but perhaps at times to attribute life to. It's far easier to be a non believer, I have looked & never found and those with faith will say "I did not see". Who knows?
Pretty much my sentiments from all of your posts but it amazes me who rings premium horoscope numbers or subscribes to the pay for reports? Or gives their life savings for a chance of redemption and beliefs?
Are we all guillible on some level - is that the nature of man?
You can't prove a negative ( as in a non physical - meaning not positive in the basis of substance, rather than good or bad). I don't believe in gods, souls, or unicorns, but I can't prove that any of them do not exist.
Is life pre destined? Are you a product of genetics and free will or has your life been pre ordained or maybe your personality influenced depending upon the month or year you were born?
