Love Hate Relationship
Technology is my love hate relationship and it's intense. I did have a real life love hate relationship for five years once. It was the best and the worst and now I'm glad it is a distant memory.But technology keeps spanking me. I don't have a smart home but I have some smart devices. Last week I switched cable companies which changed my internet. I didn't realize at the time how many devices had to be reset to find the new connection. I had three Alexa's and a printer plus something else oh yeah the TV. I got a new (used) TV - bad tv at that but big, very big. Figuring out how to reprogram everything (thank you You Tube) learn the remotes, learn the RoKu devise.
I want to cut the cable but haven't done so yet. I'm close. The Internet company I went with is Spectrum. I have 30 days before I can cancel which I am cancelling due to the nightmare of the setup I went through. Then I get to reprogram everything again. At least the next reprogramming will be much easier then when I was first blind sided.
So a smart house turns into an idiot when you switch providers.

I'm surprised there isn't a little Alexa-type robot that can buzz around sorting it all out?
I think the only smart thing in my house is my smartphone. The rest are idiots..
I don't know why we have to program and update if they are smart. Can't they do it themselves.
Luckily I have daughters. I am too dumb to talk to devices.
