Epiphany
This morning I had a tiny epiphany regarding organization. I need a glue & tape toolbox of sorts just for maintenance since I seem to either duct tape, hot or krazy glue broken things. The tradeoff between an apartment and homeownership is maintenance. In Orlando if anything went wrong, maintenance had it fixed very quickly from changing a light bulb to a hot water heater. In Tampa I get to do my own maintenance when something goes wrong and I loathe it because I'm lousy at it. Been spoiled all my life I guess.Recently I noticed my microwave handle is loose at the bottom. When opening the door figuring a screw driver would fix it I discovered there are no screws holding the cover on so I can't take it off to get to a loose screw. I asked a guy friend what do I do and he suggested krazy glue. My bro came by to see if he could fix it but ended up suggesting the krazy clue idea isn't so crazy.
When I went through my 3 tiny toolboxes I found gorilla tape in one, elmers wood glue in another but no gorilla glue that I wanted. I think that expands so it might not be a good idea anyways. I bought some krazy glue and when the microwave surface dries while I write I will try to get some krazy glue behind the handle to hold it firmly, wish me luck because if the glue leaks out I don't think I can clean it off and I'm messy.
So my new little box will be just for glues and tapes which for some reason have never all been in one place. I love love love Gorilla tape, can't tell you how many things I've taped. I buy a lot from Amazon hence have to return something when it isn't worth it, that tape is so especially perfect for that purpose.

So, did you get the handle it all fixed up and working well ?
Then, with the millions you'd be earning, you could afford to hire someone to do your repairs and not need their products anymore
That might not apply today after all. Planned Obsolescence is no less with us now than when the word was coined in mid-1920s. You notice that your microwave was not made to be repaired. Vendors of new electronic gadgets used to hustle you for a service contract (maybe they still do) for a POS that won't even be manufactured next year. And car maintenance/repair at home? Fergittit! For the smaller goods, I stock up at garage sales and replace them as they clap out.
