Dog Dreams
I've always wondered what dogs dream about. Now I have a little clue. Bella my tiny dog did not bark for the first 13 or 14 years of her life, not until I got Lucy for eight months who was a barking bandit. Bark, bark, bark she did. Lucy like to look out the window and bark at everything especially walkers. When someone walked by Lucy barked like crazy and then chased them the length of this home from inside. When someone knocked at the door she went barking mad.Bella finally learned to bark from Lucy only Bella's barks sound like little chirps. Bella has been known many times while she sleeps her little tail will sometimes wag like crazy. I can only tell because I hear the tiny thumps hitting the leather sofa, thump thump thump. Bella only chirps when someone knocks at the door, that is the only time she will bark and fortunately she shuts up the minute I say, "Stop". Half the time my guests say they didn't even hear her.
Lately she has taken to chirping in her sleep which in my mind can only mean she is dreaming of someone knocking on the door. It cracks me up. Yesterday she was under a blanket in her bed. To look at her bed and the blanket one can not tell there is a dog under the blanket because she is not big enough to make a lump to know she is there. Then I hear the chirping coming from under the blanket and I get to have myself a real cute Kodak moment. I wonder who is knocking in her dreams.
