A Good Week

This week has been a good week, more than likely because of last week's holiday. I returned to work full of energy and really enjoyed being with all my friends and colleagues again. The schedule had been messed up so I was sent home early twice this week due to over-staffing. Then this morning, my day off, I had a phone call asking if I would go in and do a shift. Today they were under-staffed. Any way I agreed and had a really good day at work followed by an hour in the pub opposite. This week has also been good in that I discovered via internet friends that they think that it might be a good idea to enter one of my photos in a competition. It's funny because I had never thought of that and I love taking photographs of animals and landscapes. I was also happy to discover that next week I have 41 hours worth of work instead of the 25 hours that I've recently been getting. The school holidays may mean it's busy at work and we will be rushed off our feet but that doesn't matter. I count myself very lucky that I have a job. I've also been thinking that with my job I get to meet lots of lovely people from different countries. Our business manager is Polish, one of the other managers is from Latvia, another colleague is French and our Franchisee is Turkish. Have a good evening everyone.

You might say where I work is a mini United Nations. We have people coming to learn the English language and they support themselves by working in the restaurant. Some come to us speaking either very little or no English and by the time they leave their English is very good. They're a great bunch of people to work with.

@sweetkitten4: Good evening wave .. I am glad that you had a good week although you had to go to work on your day off .. It is always nice to be able to interact with people from different cultures .. Being busy is not bad laugh I didn't like it when I was at school, now I have so much free time I started to miss being busy moping ..

Good evening african. I love being busy, even when I'm sitting down I'm either reading or on the computer. I very rarely watch tv. I love walking whether in the valley or window shopping. The beauty of my job is meeting new people from all walks of life as well as different cultures.
