Dream Weaver

Its been about a week now that I have been having a difficult time sleeping through the night so I am hoping tonight will be different. A nice hot cup of milk and honey along with a hot bath might help and I will try to forget about things that need to be done tomorrow. any other suggestions other than alcohol or narcotics?

Counting sheep usually never works....who ever came up with that lame idea anyway?dunno crazy

So wish me luck ... I'm on my way to dream land now. Night everyone wave yawn sleep

Sleep deprivation can come from stress. I know I tend to lack sleep on stressful nights, such as when I know I have to wake up early the next day (like tomorrow, ugh...)Just forget about tomorrow and try to get some sleep.
I find that I can clean out my mind by making a list of what needs to be done. This has a tendency of letting my subconscience think about other things. Ever try self hipnosis (Spelling??), or yoga. Both teaches the body and mind to relax.
Read a Book

@ _CRUSHCRAFT_ : Yes, you recommended the right one.

Read the science books, lana. It used to work out for me. LOL. Serious.

Good luck, dear! Sleep tight! hug

@lana maybe go for a walk, look at the stars, smell a purple flower..

Hi Lana, I wish I could offer you a suggestion but I have no idea, I am having the same problem as you are handshake
Thanks everyone.........music, great song just before I turn in. Hugs to all and good nightteddybear
Have you thought about meditation lana? Sounds crazy I know but when I'm not working late I usually meditate before I settle down. Also Lavender is a very relaxing aroma and is known to help. I don't know if you can get the sprays where you can spray a little on your pillow or even if you burn the essential oil or an incense stick in this fragrance that might help. Nightqueen is another fragrance that helps restless sleep. New age stores should supply these. gnite
You can try warm milk...sometimes it helps or sleepy music.
I like Duckie's suggestion. Whatever is bothering you, put it down on paper, thrash it out, develop a plan around it, then put it to bed dunno it works for me
I had the same problem before like you do.....

Try to do some sports in the evening, afterwards have a nice bath, drink camomille tea and it will helps you relax. Perhaps it will help you put to sleep....wave
I hope lana is fast asleep now, and I wish her a nice and good sleep.

This what you say, summertan, helps. Especially some book which (like scientific ones) needs that your mind gets intensively involved. It soon gets tired and you fall asleep.
Yea read a book that sounds a little sth like this:

Since mankind first walked the earth many men and women have tryed to figure out some of the essential meanings and reasons hidden in the subculturell dimensions of everyday observations done in the name of exploration of the human inner workings in relations to the exteriour impressions view in the natural inhabitants that surronds the humania as of today. Its known to have significant interest to the scientific ereas of learning throgh reading and maintaining of different qualitative angles as showen and reviewed by dr.Misura Drefvelin at cambridge university 1974, whereas in order to observe and study the social cognetive progression/regressive prosesses....sleep sleep sleep

Sweet dreams Lanahug
professor In this stressful world that we live in, we can very
easily be under stress without knowing it...What a person can do
I'm sure you know this already, avoid any kind of strong coffee... Also, it is good to (at least for me), simply stay up
as long as possible, (maybe work on a creative project) and then
fall asleep naturally...Even 4 hours of straight sleep is better than none at all...
