A funny thing happened on the way to

Yesterday evening I drove to my softball game.
But on the way I did two errands.

First I dropped off Ten 8" x 10" photos, that I recently sold to a local university.
They will display these for sale within their gift shop
in their display gardens. This is my first sale to them.
As these sell, I will replace them with more and once the confidence of the manager is reinforced, eventually work
this, so that there will be about 40 or so photos of mine for sale there on a continual basis. That is how it has worked out with several wildlife sanctuaries and state parks on the east coast. Of course, these places sell them for more than I sell them directly, but they are in it to make a profit too.

Anyway, the second stop was where the funny thing happened.
The drive to my game down the shore is about an hour long. So, I often stop by a store and buy either an ice cream bar, or a pack of 4 ilalian ices to enjoy on the way there. This time I opted for the latter, 4 lemon italian ices. Yum !

As I was walking back to my car with my newly bought pack of lemon ices, there was another guy, perhaps 30 years old or so, walking just ahead of me going back to his car. As he approached his car near mine, I heard him say in a sweet audible voice.... "Hi Honey, I'm so sorry it took so long. The line was quite long. You know that I missed you and love you a lot. But, now you have me all to yourself."

I thought this was very sweet. But, then I looked towards his vehicle and saw, that it was not actually his wife, nor girlfriend, whom he was talking to.
No, there in the passenger seat of his car was a large doberman pinscher.



Do you think some pets get treated better than the people they know ?
Maybe being "treated like a dog" isn't such a bad thing afterall.
