yahoo/skype

is great for seeing and hearing each other! i suggested it to a few guys when i wanted to chat cause here the msgs are slow and most times i dont get an email to say ive got mail! for me its better to chat there, quicker, and u can always delete and block the person if u dont like them!photos are good but video( cam) is better! and no im not a sales rep for skype! just think its so much better then seeing a pic than meeting the person in real life and he is much older than the pic or not even him

Skype has it's downside.

You feel obliged to talk every minute you are on, Folk don't do that in reality. When your with someone - walking or sitting on the sofa you don't feelthe need to talk all the time....

yes t but i dont spend as much tim on cs anymore so yahoo/skype works better and as i said deleting is an option and then u also get"block"

Oh yes i know i use to spent hours upon hours on Cs,Everyday now iam here maybe a hour every other day.Its so much better to really see someone in web cam

Exotic i can only tell you what i would do, if i were you
Before i give anyone my yahoo, i would have to feel very comfortable to give my yahoo.Even then i would give my other yahoo ID, i have 2 yahoo accounts one for friends to other for close friends and family

It has worked for me very well,what is nice about 2 accounts is the one for friend you can meet with, see them in video, and truly learn their interest. Even if your not sure you still can open another account.oh Never give your true yahoo ID untill you have complete trust

In all honesty,I got to say the Aus accent can be a little sloppy to say the least. It's only the well educated like myself that speak proper English..

I have to laugh sometimes,when I watch the the news and the overseas channels will be broadcasting a story about something in Australia,I notice they seem to choose or interview the Aussie,with the most sloppy diction..!!! sometimes I just die of embarrassment!

yes,it's funny how we perceive a persons tone/accent in different parts of the world,I do find the the American accent very strong compare to ours. I had a lovely American family living next door to me,I didn't find them loud as such,but I spent a lot of time with them on different occasions and started to sound very much like them after a while.

I should apologize to chococherrie from taking the conversation away from it's original topic. Anyhow enjoy!

I agree with you, choco, skype is the best, once you decide to advance your acquaintance from a site. My problem is, I can't find anyone who has such precedence, advantage, from my point of view, to be considered worth connecting with via skype.

Hi Choco! I have used both Yahoo and Skype and they are very useful to get to know someone. I go for cam only after a reasonable period of talking by emails and if I am interested in meeting the man in reality.

The "unscrupulous ones" have put me off the use of yahoo, but I do utilize skype. it does allow for a much easier flow of conversation, so it makes it easier to get to know people better.

It definitely has its advantages, still prefer a face to face though.

I have neither Skype nor a cam, and this is a borrowed computer so I am leery of downloading stuff to a computer that's not mine.
