The trouble with Tribbles
So I stayed in another motel this week... just like any other week I guess. You become blase, disinterested... and for me personally I rather like my own bed a little too much to enjoy a motel.Have you ever noticed that the pillows are never quite right?! Of course, you can put this down to old age... there was a time when I never complained about any pillow I used, but now... it seems I have grown fussy.
I am beginning to wonder if the perfect pillow exists, or if it's a pipe dream for me. I have tried so many and sometimes they are okay for a few weeks, but then ... another sleepless night, another kink.
Pillows are breeding in my home, as I seek out the perfect pillow, I collect them along the way. Sometimes I pass them along to others in the family that are short on pillows... Often I simply discard them. It's beginning to remind me of the Tribbles on Star Trek...The Tribbles were non-intelligent lifeforms that were known for their prodigious reproductive rate.
(Photos were taken in a motel in Boston last year... I can see there was Papa Bears pillow and Mama Bears pillow...but where was Baby Bears pillow... you know? The one that was 'just right'??)

I have considered buying a sideways pillow, but I have never had anyone tell me they are worth purchasing. I can imagine buying pillowcases to be difficult if you bought the 'sideways sleeper'.
... another pillow bites the dust.
You use a feather's pillow.
Your neck and shoulder
Always adjust with.
Try it.:
Maybe if I am really good this year, Santa will give me a perfect pillow.
Funny, pillows have never bothered me. I need two when I read and one when I sleep. When I put my head on that pillow, I'm off to lala land.
But it must be nice to sleep in a motel every night... For a month or two, I suppose.
I have four pillows on my bed for aesthetic reasons. I like the balance. However, I only ever use one. And that one is never quite right... if I ever find the right pillow, I shall commit to it for life.
I have never heard of a pillow, but it sounds rather enticing. I have tried lavender in the bedroom too... another natural sleep aid.
Thank you.
Nice to see you, by the way.
