Is America Under God's Judgment?
Here are quoted extracts from an article by the Christian Broadcasting Network (I am sorry that I forgot to mention this in the first place) :"A number of facts would tend to make that more than a rhetorical or philosophical question.
Consider:
.Homicide and incarceration highest of any industrialized nation. Ten times that of Japan, Sweden, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
.Crime increased by 371% since 1960, with Juvenile Crime up 920% since 1985, the highest in the world.
.Divorce quadrupled in the last 30 years, making the U.S. the world leader.
.Teenage pregnancies also quadrupled in the last 30 years (more than a million a year) making the US the Western World leader.
.Voluntary abortion leader in the world.
.Illegal drug use leader of the world.
.Illiteracy world leader, with National Educational Standards among the lowest in the world.
.Teen suicides more than doubled in the last 30 years."
"Then there are natural disasters. A Life magazine cover story described 1993 as being a year of "killer weather" with blizzards on the East Coast, drought in the Southeast, floods in the Midwest, and raging fires m the West. The magazine asked if nature had gone mad. Of course, all this occurred before the most the California earthquake!"

The latest natural disaster is the tornado in Arkansas and Oklahoma:
"Tornadoes kill 16 in Arkansas, 1 in Oklahoma"

And as for the weather last week you said it was global warming caused by humans, where does "god" fit into any of this
Modern man claims there is a scientific reason for all events natural, mysterious and otherwise.....so why drag some invisible God into the equation?
I never said it is just America.
You did cite certain natural disasters in the States under the heading "Is America Under God's Judgement", so it would be fair to say that you did, in fact, mention god and the weather.
I question why you've picked out America for your blog, there are countries that are far worse off. Are the countries that can't feed its own people also under judgement?
Given all the places one can go to get statistics I must admit The Christian Broadcasting Network would not be my first choice an establishment without bias or an axe to grind would be priority to me.
And then say they are the seed of Gods divine plan.
Where as others will look up and be inspired to share great inspiration. and say nothing.
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
All is the result of "human intervention" and "terrible" politics regarding social issues. some contradictions regarding the biggest economy of the world, as you point, is incarceration: (from here we can see how a society deals with problems)
"The United States has less than 5 percent of the world's population. But it has almost a quarter of the world's prisoners. Indeed, the United States leads the world in producing prisoners, a reflection of a relatively recent and now entirely distinctive American approach to crime and punishment. Americans are locked up for crimes — from writing bad checks to using drugs — that would rarely produce prison sentences in other countries. And in particular they are kept incarcerated far longer than prisoners in other nations.” - New York Times "
No, not God´s Judgment, but human stupidity and greed.
I couldn't of said it better myself

""A number of facts would tend to make that more than a rhetorical or philosophical question.
What do you mean by "more than a question" ??
Thanks for your comment.
I did a google search on your comment. Here is what it says:
"The Blood Moon Prophecy is an idea popularized by Christian pastors John Hagee and Mark Biltz, which states that an ongoing tetrad (a series of four consecutive total lunar eclipses, with six full moons in between, and no intervening partial lunar eclipses) which began with the April 2014 lunar eclipse is a sign of the end times." - Wikipedia
(I assume that you are referring to the unfolding of these Revelations and that you are ready).
I respect your position and am happy for you.
I tend to agree with your comment.
Still, I am not making any pronouncement on whether God is judging America, as questioned in the article.
"Its not just America my friend. Everything's coming to an end".
I am not questioning your statement. Sorry!
I am happy with the response to the blog.
You do what you think is best.
Have a good time feeding the pigeons.
This article was published by the Christian Broadcasting Network, an American religious organisation.
They are the ones who are referring to the Judgement of God.
They can answer your question.
As I have stated, the statements in this blog are quoted extracts from an article by the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Any reference to god and the weather came from the article.
I have not singled out America.
I intend to do another blog examining the effects of natural disasters on other countries also.
As I stated, these figures are from an article by the Christian Broadcasting Network.
You should direct your queries concerning their authenticity to them. I have stated their link in the blog.
You are free to form your own opinion about "the rath of god"
If you are not satisfied, I suggest that you should complain to your congressman about the Christian Broadcasting Network.
I am not running anywhere!!!
I appreciate your question.
As I stated, I only quoted from the article.
Nevertheless, here are my views on the statement:
""A number of facts would tend to make that more than a rhetorical or philosophical question.
I think the author is hinting that based on the facts presented in the article, to some extent, it may not be just a question but it would signify that there may actually be some degree of God's judgement involved.
Of course, that's just my opinion.
My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones. May they rest in peace.
Thanks for your comment.
I respect your belief and position with regards to God's coming judgement. You say some will be judged more severely than others.
What will determine which nations are judged more severely than others?
Thanks for your comment and the video. The message of the video is very similar to that of the article.
A statement in the video says:
"a very good argument can be made to say that we are under judgement now"
Thanks for your comment.
I am sorry to hear of the casualties. I empathise with those who have lost their loved ones.
