Ladies !! How would YOU have reacted?
South Africa is one of the least lawful countries on earth, with the 5th highest number of total crimes reported in 2002. Bet its much worse now. Some 32,000 of the 2.6 million crimes were murders with firearms, placing the country top of the global table, and 11,000 were manslaughters, the 2nd highest number. Unsurprisingly then, South Africa has an army of 101,000 in their police force.I know men will have a different viewpoint as I know what my reaction would have been.
You are a soft hearted, law abiding, decent down to earth lady with a good education.
One day on a peaceful Sunday afternoon while sitting at your desk in your room, reading the blogs while Skyping with a friend you hear a strange noise way down in the other side of your home.
You excuse yourself and go take a look what has caused this noise. Halfway down the passage a tanned man....and not purple or pink) armed with a crowbar comes around the corner. You are unarmed defenceless thinking your home is your sanctuary. After the initial shock you realise no one will hear your screams, the neighbours are more than 200 meters away ....
Sorry I don't have the gift of telling a story soo
What would YOU have done?

I Ain't Too Proud To Beg!......
Just give me, what you got left....... jk.
Few people who lives outside SA will appreciate the problems we have here. I don't think they realize the extend brutality we see here when strong Steel gates are tied to a care and simply ripped out of the door jambs.
It is not enough to steal the stuff in the house. They want to kill the owner as well. They don't care if there is somebody in the house when they break in and the hit you with numbers.
Now can you blame somebody when they use maximum force when there are intruders in the house?

uh! How is our ghost doing lately? Is she doing better now?.....
You can also get yourself a bulldog too!....
That would be all she wrote!.....Woofffff!....
Get Dog
Got dog!
I don't worry or feel vulnerable in Germany or Ireland. We don't have weapons (thankfully) and I never felt the need for some.
Crime can happen everywhere, but if it is that much part of daily life, I don't think I could or would want to live with that.
As long as single women can live alone in houses outside.
A burglar alone is nothing special. Happens in Germany every day many times.
About skinning no idea how often that happens, but murder and man/womanslaughter happens in Germany, too. Too often and for no real reason.
If dogs are better to live with for u than people it is the wrong way.
Just thinking of the living conditions. One room in an overcrowded city is not much, indeed. Hard to stand poverty parallel to wealth anywhere. In Germany, too.
Thinking of the school children of Soweto. Was it 1500 killed once?
Nelson Mandela is ur future.
I totally agree. BUT its my blog and I can STATE what I want to, just as you can state or do what makes you happy IN YOUR OWN BLOG.
Wildchild,LL, KN, Guadal (My future is far from dead, rather walk a pair of shoes thru here before talking.) Ken, Thanks again.
