Ladies !! How would YOU have reacted?
South Africa is one of the least lawful countries on earth, with the 5th highest number of total crimes reported in 2002. Bet its much worse now. Some 32,000 of the 2.6 million crimes were murders with firearms, placing the country top of the global table, and 11,000 were manslaughters, the 2nd highest number. Unsurprisingly then, South Africa has an army of 101,000 in their police force.I know men will have a different viewpoint as I know what my reaction would have been.
You are a soft hearted, law abiding, decent down to earth lady with a good education.
One day on a peaceful Sunday afternoon while sitting at your desk in your room, reading the blogs while Skyping with a friend you hear a strange noise way down in the other side of your home.
You excuse yourself and go take a look what has caused this noise. Halfway down the passage a tanned man....and not purple or pink) armed with a crowbar comes around the corner. You are unarmed defenceless thinking your home is your sanctuary. After the initial shock you realise no one will hear your screams, the neighbours are more than 200 meters away ....
Sorry I don't have the gift of telling a story soo
What would YOU have done?

Run like hell while screaming is my answer, even if he is pink with purple spots.

Anywho! I will fight him so hard, he will reach for my phone . And call the police on me. True story!.......
The question was How would you have reacted?

So Luke, you will tell us what happened, as you sat helplessly by?
hello all.....
Where I live, if someone breaks into your house and tries to harm you, you can defend yourself any way you can. My preference is to shoot him/her with a shotgun or a 9MM. The law is on your side here!
I am a trained Marine Corps vet and I would have no qualms about shooting someone.
Yet when my dauther son in law and Iceman <grand son> was there thay where all over the Island thay have even made friends ,
Popeye <my son in law > sits on the road-side with orther Jamaicans having a good time as if the Island belongs to him. I saw Japanees women living in the middle of Kingston...Yet when one read the paper it seems like the
Island is coming apart..
South Africa is a rich place with its peoples a place I would love to see to learn your dance songs and storys, To see Joe.burg
to see the Town ships maybe even go down into a gold mines
and to have a game of cricket.....not to talk about the wine...
South Africa will change again, only some times when we are part of this change we will not see the change happening...
Walk good.
I hope that you are doing ok!..................
