700 billion dollars US military and defense budget

Here we go. Serious war business. Last night the actual US military presence across the globe is shown from the late Fox news.

QUESTION: With this budget, 2 billion dollars a day, what's our chances of winning this war?

First of all do you support it? If not, why?

I just hope that my tax is used for a good purpose. To keep peace by eliminating our enemies?

I hope and pray we're truly fighting a good fight.

I'm not sure anymore.

Thank you all for your reads and participation.

wave Hi Lin, If this is what they reported then they are not sincere. The defense budget includes many other line items that have nothing to do with defense and amount to a hefty sum. So let me recommend that anyone who is seriously inquiring actually look at the line items and do the numbers. So far as the war is concerned, the game is far from over. I think it just started with Iraq. We have a much bigger plan here. If we wanted out, we could have gotten out a long time ago.
I am not for the war but more importantly I am not for the "radical Muslims" attempting to kill all of our world leaders and you and me. I think 100% they mean business.

The way they're killing their own brothers and sisters makes me barf when I hear the young Arabic woman being criticized for killing "her own people". Hey, maybe some ISIS or Taliban or Al Qaida looney killed some one from her family. Or since she joined the air force she has a duty to fulfill.

I think we finally needed to defend ourselves.
Don't rely on what one hears/reads in the media.

Our government will never disclose the actual facts.

My older brother who served in the Army as a sergeant during the Vietnam War told me that the military kept most if not all things private.
War is expensive, thats why we don't see more of it.
I bet I could handle this with less than $2,000,000,000 day....our leaders for some stupid reason treat war like a football game following plays pre written only. To heck with that...we shouldn't even be talking about it...we should just do it. Even though I hate war....I also hate good people everywhere being murdered by any and all radicals....get rid of the whack jobs please! And send all prisoners to the front line that want to continue committing crimes t get 3 hots and a I cot too. Wouldn't all those mass ,under ers have a field day!cool

The media as far as I am concerned is not a reliable source when it concerns the real truth about what is gong on...so in saying that I truly hope that the monies that is spent on this war does have a positive result...ISIS must be eliminated and the countries such as Syria and Iraq need to restore law and order...and above all let the people have freedoms that their current government did not allow not to mention the brutality...
LJ.
I never believes 100%. What the media reports. Just 10 % of it. If that is true too!

For example;
They say things to the viewers; Just to get them upset! And to have them against each other. Yes! They are shhhhiiit Starters.
In order to watch the News, you have to have a 3rd ear. And an extra eye toward them. If not! They will have you, where they want you.

Anywho! I agree with CC & Loulou.
Nidi, that is the big problem because we're so misinformed. However, with the military global activities, we all know we're at war.

It might not be taking place here in our backyard but it is.
I'm convinced Ed, and as hard as it is to believe, I think enough damage is done to justify these war, but two billion or more a day is just baffling.
Cincy I do believe during that war, it was a strategy to establish the cooling off and determine how strong communism was, regardless you're right, we're truly never given the actual facts.
I like your thinking Therese, yes send all the criminals in the war front?

Hmmmnn very interesting.
Lou my dear friend, we hope this is a war that we can all survive.
Angel thanks for your input. Yes trying to make sense of it all.
Lin, Yes, we are, and we're the ones who started it. I'll be honest with you. I do not support this or any other war. There is always a time to quit! I read the news outside the US and supposedly we are not actively engaged in a war, but we've stepped up our covert operations. So the big snake over in DC is talking with a forked tongue. One set of news for us, one set for everybody else. frustrated
It was only a short while ago that the Politicians in this country were crying out about the Deficit this country had and that we had to pull together to reduce this so called debt.mumbling Now after a so called parliamentary debate...they actually came back from their hols..to vote yes vote on escalation of ISIS attacks by air...just a small cost of 52 Billion to be added to our debt...so my advice to all those in there 30s or early 40s.....do not think about receiving your state pension until at least 75 plus rolling on the floor laughing
Nidi I'm so aware of the policy of a need to know basis but something of this scope, don't we at least deserve to know the truth?
Hey my dear friend, how is everything in your turf? Glad to see you Steve.

I know the move on politics are secretive and complicated.
Ken that I am agreeing with you 100 percent.
I totally agree. A bullet in the head is the only language they understand. No need for jail, no need for court, just a bullet in the head.

Some people just need a hight five...

In the face...

With a chair!
Tapajos, hmmnn an ultimatum that can't be reversed. I am charmed to make little bit of investment on the education part. Then perhaps bullet do the either them or us action and fast.
let's not forget who created these monsters.. the CIA.. and let's remember how Isis was able to take root in Iraq. the Bush war of aggression and America's destabilizing the region. and for what purpose? one reason and one reason only. to protect the petrodollar status of our currency so our government can keep barrowing its way into the abyss. Saddam tried switching Iraqi oil sales into euros. that started the chain of most recent events. weapons of mass destruction was the lie to sell the war
Brian thanks so much for your participation and
it's amazing how some look at the way you do. Specially Michael Moore.

None the less I suspected about the credibility of the 911 case.
