Cancelled again!
I get very annoyed when people cancel their arrangement with me at the last moment. More so when they initiated the events. And even more when they do it twice in two weeks!
Two weeks ago, I was invited to participate in a porcupine hunt. It was cancelled 24 hours before the time. The same person invited me again for this weekend. He just cancelled it 7 hours before I would have departed. Both times simply because something cropped up.
This is disappointing. I was looking forward to seeing ‘my’ dogs again.
Sleeping over entails some preparation. This is unacceptable and if he were not a friend of such long standing, I would have given him a good piece of my mind.

When the opportunity arises again I will ask if they need hands, but I cannot promise anything. It is not my farm.
We don't shoot them.
I also hate it when people cancel at the last minute but, this is just telling me that maybe it was meant to be for some reason?
Maybe the porcupines weren´t meant to be killed or... maybe there was another unknown reason why you weren´t supposed to go out that day?
Anyway, I certainly wouldn´t let you down if we had a date!
Even bad id tolerable when it comes in moderation.
These things happen. At least it did not cause any major discomfort.
