The art of blogging
I´ve been on the blogs for around a year, found them thanks to a person who told me to take a look and must say I do enjoy it.There are all kinds of topics but my question is.. what makes you want to comment and what do you expect from the actual blogger when you comment?
What makes a successful blog?
As a blogger do you get upset if people don't comment on your blog?
I would love a tutorial on how to do interesting blogs, how do you find your ideas. There are a few bloggers I do admire and a few that I really enjoy how they comment.
So my questions are
For bloggers
a) How do you choose your topics?
b) Do you get upset if you don't get comments or views?
For comment posters
c) What motivates you to comment on a blog?
d) What do you expect from the blogger when you comment?
For everyone
e)Do you recomend the blogs to others CS users and why?
Comments (92)
c. The challenge of being the first to comment on a blog.
To make jokes. I really enjoy making people laugh. So I make jokes. Why, sometimes I'll carefully craft an elaborate scenario...like I'm thinking to myself...JUST to set up the punchline of a joke. But I might not REALLY be thinking all that. Because I'm setting it all up. For the punchline of a joke. Because I often make a joke when I comment on a blog.
See?
P.S. Just because I repeated that I like to make jokes, does not indicate I have early onset Alzheimer's Disease.
Do not jump to any hasty or unwarranted conclusions, y'all.
Like what might happen by not understanding that I sometimes make a joke as a blog comment.
Not ALWAYS, Ish.
Hell...sometimes i might be, like, THREE WEEKS earlier than it seems.
I might make it LOOK like I'm late...just to set up an elaborate scenario.
But it could be it's just to set up the punchline. Of a joke.
See?
I do write a lot for my websites and I believe that the subjects should be interesting, funny and informative but not extremely personal and self serving.
Bloggers should not worry or get upset if people do not comment, people will comment if they have something to say about your blog subject.
I read almost all the blogs here, I would be motivated to comment if I had an opinion, a few blogs are totally weird and don't deserve anyones time.
Good blog.... unlike Mic a hate being the last to blog a message..
To me blogging is scary,
put me in a hall full of strangers,
that I'm happy with...
Why, NO one beats me up more'n I do.
I might even make my own self look really silly...
like a shy, indecisive Casper Milquetoast nerd.
Just to set up an elaborate scenario that's really the setup for the punchline. Of a joke.
See?
Yep. Blogging sure can get scary sometimes.
No doubt 'bout that.
Not only not realizing something might be a setup for a joke...
Sometimes someone might think that a word means something.
But it might mean something really, REALLY different.
Right?
OLDER bloggers lol
Hmmm reason to comment? .....
Hang on what was the question again ...?
Lol
actually this is a good site for blogging, I haven't had any contact with the moderators and sometimes wonder how often they do check the blogs. If they only do it when something has been reported or if they really read the blogs.
And your blog is only third from the top!
You'll probably have to give some lucky 100th blog commenter a set of dandy virtual steak knives.
Great fun, Ish!.................
Ish is the blog queen 120 on last blog

Where have you been? -Bet you have been organizing your San Valentin date.
Wow. She's up to 50 comments. And the blog is still wayyy above the advertising banner.
Yep. She'll give away a set of virtual steak knives.
Sure thing, you betcha.
Might even set a new personal record.
This is very exciting.
.....
OUCH!.......Dang!
I'm still smarting from that OLDER BLOGGERS barb.
That really got big laughs when I told 'em about it here in the Old Bloggers Home.
I wonder who writes that rapier like repartee for him...
Probably Wun Hung Lo.....
....
I have to leave soon!
So! Will you make a commitment for me after the 99 comment?____
But sometimes it is very time consuming and yet it like a movie, you watch a movie because it seems like it offers you an entertainment or enjoyment or learning.
I comment only to some interesting ones. I read some but don't always comment. Depending on my mood, I blog and comment relative to how I feel and think at the moment.
Nice blog Ish.
A. How do I choose your topics? My most recent one I felt was important to share. It made me feel frustrated and I was hoping that maybe I was seeing things wrong. But, if there is something funny I will post that. I suppose it just depends. It has to be interesting....to me at least.
B. Do you get upset if you don't get comments or views? No. It is nice to get views and comments, to know people find your words somewhat interesting. But, things are what they are. If people don't view or comment, that is fine also.
C. What motivates you to comment on a blog? If I am a friend with somebody or if they have an interesting topic that I feel I can potentially contribute something useful to.
D. What do you expect from the blogger when you comment? I do not expect anything. If they don't respond, that is their business. If they respond with an interesting or engaging comment, I may very well put a follow-up post. If they respond rudely, that is their business also.
E. Do you recommend the blogs to other CS users and why? I would recommend them to all users. When used constructively, they can provide many benefits: learning, expressing your thoughts, companionship, flirting (develop relationships), and having fun. There are probably many other things I am missing.
:)
Blogging has its rewards...no need to count the comments...although I suspect most do...
I like human interest stories and like to post videos/documentaries of them here...and like to hear others' opinions...
Keep on blogging...
