Another reason to avoid the dentist..

A personal friend made an appointment with an NYC dentist. She went to his Bronx office this week and was told to wait in her car. After awhile (about an hour) when she saw other patients leaving she again asked if they were ready for her and was told not yet. As she walked back to her car the Dental receptionist came out and snuck up behind her and with a letter opener or scissor began stabbing my friend in the back of the head. My friend suffered an immediate concussion and fell unconscious to the ground but the employee then knelt down and began stabbing my friend in the face and torso until bystanders approached. At that point the dental assistant fled the scene.

Here is the TV news story about the incident.

My friend is at home recovering after surgery and stapling of her wounds. I have photos that are too bloody for TV or here of the wounds. She has retained a personal injury lawyer. A felony warrant has been issued for the Dental employee who as of this writing remains a fugitive.

Dental visits are usually scary enough. Now we have a new fear. Homicidal dental assistants.

uh oh blues moping

Numb...

For months, I was putting off having dental work because of coronavirus. It's near the end of the calendar year and I'll lose out on benefits if I don't get some work done. I've got a chipped molar that I can feel the nerve if I chew really hard on that side. It wasn't the pain/discomfort that troubled me it was knowing if I procrastinated too long, I'd be looking at a root canal treatment and a crown.

I booked an appointment last week and this morning they did the preparation for a crown.

There are a few different types of crown material. The most common are, gold, porcelain, PFM (porcelain fused-to-metal), Zirconia. My dentist recommended the Zirconia because it's stronger than porcelain and they don't need to remove as much original tooth to have the crown the same size as the adjacent teeth.

Hit me up! I warned the dentist I'm ultra-sensitive so she used a little more anesthetic than usual. Everyone I know says word Novocain but I think dentists use Lidocaine. Maybe it was watered-down as it required 5 shots and waiting 30 minutes to 'numb me out' and that wasn't 100%

I've always said "The only pain you should feel from a dentist is the bill when services are rendered."

Anyway, it's nearly 3 hours from the last shot and the sensation is returning to my face and lips.

The thing I like about this dental clinic is they make a form fitted casting of the tooth prior to the treatment, so the temporary filling feels like a real tooth. Work I had done from 3 other dentists used a plastic-like substance that was hand molded over the area until it hardened. Just a blob that didn't look or feel like a tooth.

In 3 weeks I go back for the final. Yeah, I waited a long time to get numb.

Give me a woman

There are certainly things that women seem unable to do as well as men, but there are also things that women do better than men. This morning I experienced an example of female superiority.

I have always been phobic about injections, they terrify me. Apart from local anesthetic at the dentist's -which doesn't seem quite the same- I have not allowed anyone to stick a needle in me since I was a child. It wasn't easy for me to make myself have the Covid jab, my fear of the needle took a great deal of overcoming. In the event, I hardly felt a thing. It was much easier when I went for the second one, and again, it was completely painless. I went for the booster jab this morning, and when the needle went in, it stung like Hell.

My first two jabs were administered by women, but my third, the one that hurt, was given to me by a man. I know that 3 is much too small a number to be statistically significant, but it's good enough for me. Women are better at giving injections, and that's official as far as I'm concerned.

New COVID-19 cases on the rise...

I check the Florida statistics every few days and no longer have hope the number of new cases will decline. We are required to wear masks in the showroom I'm working at. The clients coming in also wear masks. The same for outside appointments.

This weekend at the model airfield, masks are optional and all of us maintained distance. Thankfully no one in my circle of contacts has been directly affected. A few guys my age all agreed they no longer go out to restaurants and don't order delivery. Grocery shopping only when necessary and all their meals are cooked at home.

This is what we do for now.

I bought 100 surgical masks a few months ago and another 100 came in 2 weeks ago. My boss and I made a sales call Friday... he forgot to bring a mask and I supplied one for him. Accidentally, I left my mask in the office, I had to resort to an N95 mask I was keeping for emergency. A year ago I was wearing them for drywall patching and sanding project. I forgot how restrictive they are compared to the surgical masks. However, they didn't fog my glasses. I'm waiting to try the cloth variety. This may encourage me to rethink my sewing machine & mask experiments.

Travels on Saturday, took me to the house I recently sold. My (ex) neighbor was holding several storage bins of tools and collectables of mine and it was time to retrieve those items. Construction at my old house was going as expected. I chatted with the new owner. She and her remodeling crew were doing electrical upgrades and fitting for central air conditioning. While my neighbor and I had masks, none of the remodeling people wore any.

The house is in Dade County... one of the hot-spots for the state of Florida where people who test positive have the highest concentration of COVID-19.

Final stage of Moderna Covid-19 Vaccine will start in July and Brit final stage starts this month.

Today in Bloomberg;

Moderna Vaccine Trials Moving Fast With Final Study in July

By Robert Langreth

June 11, 2020

Moderna Inc. said it had selected a dose for a final-stage clinical trial of its coronavirus vaccine that should begin in July, as the company moves ahead rapidly with its innovative approach to trying to prevent Covid-19.

The final study, which will include 30,000 people, will be conducted in collaboration with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the U.S. Its primary goal will be to show the vaccine prevents people from developing symptoms of Covid-19, Moderna said in a statement. A secondary goal will be to show the vaccine keeps people from getting severe cases requiring hospitalization.

Shares of Moderna climbed 3.2% to $61.98 at 8:26 a.m. in New York. The stock has more than tripled in value since the start of this year.

The announcement is another indication that coronavirus vaccine trials are moving ahead at a remarkable pace. On Wednesday, Johnson & Johnson said it would begin early trials of its Covid-19 vaccine in the second half of July, ahead of its previous schedule to begin testing in September.

Last month, Moderna began a second-stage study of its vaccine, called mRNA-1273, in 600 healthy adults. In the statement Thursday, the company said it had already enrolled 350 people in the trial, including a cohort of 300 healthy adults 54 years and younger, and the first 50 of 300 older adults.

Some vaccines are moving into clinical trials even faster than Moderna’s. A shot co-developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca Plc is starting final-stage clinical trials this month -- and the U.K. company said Thursday it had recruited Emergent BioSolutions Inc. to help with development and manufacturing.

China has begun offering employees of some large state-run companies the option of being inoculated with two coronavirus vaccines currently in development.

Evidence that Covid 19 was around in November?

A good friend of mine works at a hospital lab in a big city. Well, she does not play any direct role in the scenario, but she might have prompted indirectly some of the action to be taken.

Anyway, she has just informed....

Her mom's boyfriend was very sick in November. His doctor thought he might have lung cancer, but it was later diagnosed as pneumonia.

Just recently, in fact the results were gotten today. He and his doctor decided to test him for the anti-bodies of Covid 19, and his test came back positive.....meaning he has had Covid 19.

Well...either he had the disease in November, or he caught the virus later on and never even knew he had it because there were no signs he had it.

dunno

I am not doctor, but if I was a betting man (and I am) I would put my money on the fact he had the virus back in November.

It's my blog... but let's talk about you!

Being a member on CS does have it's benefits, but I never imagined that I would have my own fan club. At first, I started deleting comments of personal attacks. I changed my mind and allowed them to remain. To my surprise, a moderator for CS came by, removed the offensive comments and left a calling card they had stopped by!
I'm okay with that...
So if it's your MO ( that's modus operandi in detective talk ) to drop a turd on my blog... be my guest!

"SOUND" KNOWLEDGE

Talking vibrations

Our Human body contains 70^%+ liquid
Every cell “communicates” with the other cells through the network of liquids
Ever cell has its own Electro magnetic field EMF
During the life time experiences, cultural and religious believes the magnetic field in its origin becomes “polluted” out of tune, dis-harmonized when we grow up

SOUND DO NOT HEAL
The physical body (entity Earth) is the container of 70%+ liquid and one of the best transporters of (sound) vibration. The music and/or sound we hear with the ears brings images into the imagination and has its effects on the mental body ( entity Fire) The vibration of the sounds that are coming at us through the Air. Penetrates through the skin into the container (as a pebble thrown in pond) expressed in feelings in the emotional body ( entity Water)

SOUND DOES HARMONIZE
And can re-activate the self-healing power that every human has. Available, when used with awareness and intention of the sound creator
Every cell, every organ in the human body has the memory of its original state (vibration number)
Any stress or pain in the system causes disharmony. As a pollution in the magnetic field.
The sound vibrations created with the gongs (by the method I use) are carrying all vibration numbers of cells and organs, transported through the liquid system of the body.
As a massage from inside out, touching the tension spots and making them more flexible again.
Cells and organs recognize their original “tone” and start to resonate back to their “number” of origin

ALL THAT EXISTS IS ENERGY IN MOTION (E-MOTION)
After 20 years self study as sound creator this became my believe and truth at the moment
