hmmm....some women

Out just the other night. A friend and I meet up at a local bar. We both have a few drinks....sitting around talking and such. Another person we both know, a friend starts talking with us. He pulls out his phone and starts sharing some sexually explicit videos of women.

I'm a straight guy, so I decide to watch a couple of his videos....of course while he is holding his phone right in front of my face. Okay, the first two made be just sit there in disbelief, but the third one still has me just....well...

There are two women laying down with their legs spread...naked. There is a third lady who is aligning them with each other. What happens is just outright disgusting in my opinion. I can just imagine that you are hoping I will share what I seen, but believe me, it is probably going to be disturbing for many here....and while for others...I don't know.

Anyway, the point of this whole blog is what my friend said to the the guy showing us the video...and the guy's answer.

My friend asks, how can you satisfy a woman like that?

The guys says, I don't know...but I stay away from women like that.

I know there was mention of sex toys destroying the sensation of female anatomy.....but with what I seen and from the responses that came from that....I am starting to think that a horse can't sexually satisfy some women.

Is this a new way in society for women...with the sex toy industry?

....and men are suppose to be the pigs? hmmm

Never too late or too old to be happy, to be better. Fitness is for all.

This days I have a mission; I have a life project. I have made a drastic change to my professional life. I am doing what I really like and have a passion for. Finally, I find myself.

Mi mission is to inform and motivate as many people as possible to commit and dedicate some of their time to their own fitness. I belief that the best way to obtaining a good general health is by following a regular fitness regime with the help of a professional trainer.

I am so motivated to improve people's fitness, I get tremendous satisfaction when I can see great results. Today, I am in it full-time; running my own business within the industry. I should have done it many years a go. However, my motto is..... you are never too late or too old to be happy, to be better!!

My inspiration blog...

The word inspiration comes up frequently in my business, usually mentioned by clients and their designers. They email or text to me photos of kitchen or furniture ideas they have seen online.

If you didn't know, I design and sell custom cabinetry.

Today, I received a photo of a long TV wall unit with floating shelves and a fake fireplace in the middle. The customer gave a description of what they liked about the photo and what they want different. Got it. My meeting with the client is tomorrow. I'll be ready.

Yesterday was a similar scenario. I received a few photos on Monday, we met in the showroom on Wednesday. The woman was very impressed with my presentation and the products we manufacture. When asked how long I've been doing designs, I said "I had brown hair when I started in this business!" We laughed, she liked the joke and felt comfortable with my ability to design a great kitchen for her and her husband.

I was at a previous job for 8 years and it's a good feeling being in the groove again.

A little personal life reveal here.
I thought at my age, I would semi-retire, pick a few projects and have more than 50% free time. That hasn't happened. The company I'm working for got stronger after COVID. We opened a showroom last year and the owner wants greater sales this year.
While we were allowed to use the showroom during construction, we couldn't make any financial transactions until the city signed off on the building permit. I had a client meeting the morning the building inspector gave us the 'go-ahead' and I made the first sale in the new building. Milestone.

That means, new logo, shirts, business cards. I'm enjoying the new look!

This week was hectic with lots of appointments and a few new projects to price.
I'm feeling some pressure to have all my commitments on time. If there is a time constraint, I still make my meetings and gather more information for the next meeting. This is okay as every project has multiple sets of revisions. So if my drawings aren't 100% complete for the meeting, my presentation is good knowing client revisions are normal.

I reached out to some older contacts and they have started bring me new business. Passing by a jobsite with a new house going up, I connected with the general contractor and will have the opportunity to bid that project and get added to bid any future projects they have. Win-win.

I think the new car purchase this year is also a boost of positive energy. Nothing wrong with the previous car, as it was only 3 years old. I do a fair amount of highway driving and the new car rides nicer, more comfortable with less interior road noise.

Things are good. Real good. My mood is up, I decided to use a designer who had some free time to help me with drawings. I'm using her as a tool to allow me to be more productive and not use my additional free time for play and not work.

That brings me to a few things. Hopefully we all know the distance of Internet (not seeing, hearing people as in real life) often reflect a view that is different to what the person is like in real life. Because of this, some people could be perceived as arrogant, moody, aggressive, mean spirited or bitter when they are actually not. Like a mirror, I've returned less-than pleasing comments with less-than pleasing comments. That doesn't show me in the light I would like to be seen. Someone said 'don't argue with a fool, they will bring you down to their level' I must remember that.

Member gonelikethewimd who is like her name, comes in only to comment and quickly disappears. She commented on another blog that I appear to be taking all the news surrounding ex-president Trump personally. Could it be? I respect her opinion, but every news channel, Yahoo page, YouTube video is 95% about him. In truth, there is nothing I could that could add or subtract to what is going on with the lying and legal mess he created. We can only wait and see the outcome.

The O.I. Saga Ch. 3: Ultimatum (2/2)

NOTE! This is a continuation of an earlier blog post, so be sure to read that first to understand what's going on.

You might be asking yourself "Why are you so hesitant to tell them? Why is that such a difficult thing for you to do?" To be perfectly honest, I'm not 100% sure why that is either. All I know is that this is something I've always struggled with, even before this O.I. thing even became an issue. For some strange reason, I've always, ALWAYS, felt weird about telling them about more serious matters like this, even though I know for a FACT that they'd most likely be more than understanding of the topic.

A few years ago, I was offered a YouTube partnership. If you don't know what that is, it basically means that if I sign up with a certain network, I can earn money from just creating content for my YouTube channel. If you were under 18, you needed your parents permission first, before you could sign up for this. So naturally I'd be like, "HECK YEAH DUDE! I'm gonna tell them about this RIGHT AWAY! :D" But...because this was about what is essentially getting a job to earn money, which is more of a real life topic, I felt EXTREMELY weird trying to tell them about it. There were several instances where I'd TRY telling them, but for whatever reason, the words I wanted to say just wouldn't escape my mouth. I did wind up telling them eventually, and I did get the partnership, but the point is, even when it's something that I KNOW they'd be on board with, for whatever reason, my brain will just refuse to tell them about it, and I literally have no idea why.

So if I had THAT much trouble telling about how I can earn money from simply making videos, imagine trying to tell them, "Yo guys! So I've been having an internal struggle with myself for the past few months now. I think it's cause I wanna try to get out more and live like a normal human being, but I've been feeling pretty down in the dumps about it cause I think that will be literally impossible to do. Anyway, how's the weather?" To kinda circle back to the main point of this blog post, regardless of how weird it might make me feel to talk to them about it, I feel like at this point, it's a must. So if I don't get that response from Sean, then I'm gonna have to man up, and tell them about this issue, in hopes that maybe we can figure out a solution together.

Since you wonderful people have been so supportive of this ambitious task of mine in the past, I've decided to come to you all with this question. What do you think I can do to make telling my parents about this issue a little easier? And while I'm at it, just as a sort of "Just for fun" question, what solutions do YOU think I could do to try and gain some more independence for myself, despite the limitations this condition gives me? With that, that about wraps up this blog post. I'm almost positive there's gonna be a part 4 at some point, so I hope you'll all stay tuned for that. :P That's all for now everybody! Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all in the next one. See ya! :)

I'd boil water if I could get some water...

It's Halloween weekend and a full moon. With a 3 hour nap after dinner, I'm now in zombie mode. I've got a client meeting in the morning and thinking it's time to get some real sleep.
Explained in an earlier blog, we were on a boil water order from the Public Works Department because they repaired a water main in the road leading to my condo.

The order was rescinded yesterday and now at 2am... "We ain't got no stinkin' water"

Right, we've got no water, so I took a walk in the opposite direction as the repair site because 4 trucks with flashing lights were a hundred yards or so down the street. They used a small tractor and dug a hole to fix what must have been another break in the pipe.

I've got the feeling this will be an all-nighter before the water comes back on.
In preparation, we did bottle a few gallons of tap water prior to the first episode so a quick wash before bed will happen. Just like camping!

Look At My Beautiful Lawn

With the current drought in the Western Cape we only have water until April 12, 2018. Water restrictions are in force and we may not water our gardens. We use bath water to flush our toilets and dishwater to water the plants. sigh

I have a tiny enclosed backyard (±24 squared meters) as part of my one-bedroom dwelling and the lawn has given notice and departed for greener pastures a long time ago. Only the sand remained. I wish I had the savvy to take a pic of how it looked before. daydream

I decided to make a plan about this arid semi desert landscape that I called a back yard. The best quote for artificial lawn came to R 9,000. After checking the prices I found that this artificial lawn will cost me much cheaper if I do it myself. There is no ways that I’m going to pay a half-witted idiot R 3,000 for a few hours work. More than half the people in this country does not earn that in a month. doh

I showed the quotes to my sister and asked her, seen that it is her property, if she would carry half the expense but she said that she cannot bothered with lawn in my backyard and if I wanted lawn there, it was my baby. I said ok, in which case I’ll roll it up and take it with me when I decide to move away. tongue

I tackled the job on Saturday. Four and a half hours and R 6,000 later, I had the most beautiful lawn in Cape Town. And I'd never have to water it again. yay

I spent a few Rand extra on a few other things. Even the flowers are artificial. wow

From the other side it looks like this. My sister liked it so much that she reimbursed me with half the amount on the quote on the spot and she wants me to do a piece of her yard as well. Well, at least I’ll know how to quote for the job. She and her husband went out on Sunday and I had to make my own Sunday lunch. I invited BeaPatient to come over for the day and she did the salads. See! My fire is going. thumbs up

Look at her trying to hide in the only piece of shade around. laugh

And I had to suffer in the sun in front of a sizzling-hot fire to get the meat done. I think next time I’ll make the salads and let her stand in the sun. rolling on the floor laughing

Have You Ever Questioned The Religion, Culture and Way Of Life That You're Born Into ?

I did! And As I grow older and able to see, feel and experience life, I' able to make sense of things around me and form my own belief.

I was born Christian, spent many years with nuns, raised in very conservative society, with big loving family who raised me into a good person able to differentiate differences between good and bad, moral and immoral, acceptable and not acceptable according to norm in society.

I've sit, eat , work and sleep with people from different race, beliefs and culture...and I found we have one thing in common - we are all human being with a big need for love and acceptance and there's good and bad in all of us and religion has nothing to do with it.

I've learned that by accepting our differences from one another sets us all free and creates a better world.

I've learned that my religion does not make me a better person, my common sense and how my parents raised me has a lot to do with that. Religion will not save my a**, it will not make me happy, all religious books contains contains plenty bullshit. I believe doing good things for myself and others is enough to get me to heaven, if there's one.

I know with all my heart that whatever god maybe is a good god and sees the good and bad in everyone. If he's truly coming to judge everyone one day, I think he'll put me in the blue corner, among those non-judgemental, non-fear-mongering kind, loving and respectful people. Amen!yay

What's Your Favorite Music Video?

Music videos have been around for some time now, however, really started making a visual statement (as art) in their own right (apart from the song); probably in the late 1980's. This was when "basic" special effects (generated by computers) came along.

Back then, (if you lived in Australia) you had to watch a show called "Countdown" (top of the pops format -on TV) to see your favorite musicians perform. In Australia, The ABC television station has a music video all night (weekends) TV show called "Rage" . In America it is MTV (or it was in the late eighties). Nowadays; of course, we have most music videos on youtube.

Anyway, you get the idea.

Blog open for each person to post their favorite music video/s.

(please post a maximum of 1 per comment). Comments are sought for each music video - Why do you like it? What makes it special?

To kick things off, I'll post a few of my favs. (there's really too many, to choose from)...
