I think when most of us look at a potential partner we look for various qualities, friendliness , sincerity etc, but above all all else comes honesty. What a different world it would be if everyone had those qualities, think of the time & money we'd all save, no need of things like passwords, internet security, queues at airport security, we could do away with police forces, armies, ticket inspectors, tax inspectors, we could dispense with locks on house & car, immobilisers, car alarms, jails could be used for something useful rather than being a burden on tax payers, we wouldn't have to do research every time we got mail on CS, CCTV would become a thing of the past, as would traffic wardens, our car insurance would cheap as there'd be no fraudulent claims, products would be cheaper as companies would try to screw the last penny from your pocket, but most of all I wouldn't have had to have spent last night reinstalling my browser after a security update crashed the program & lost half the files
I am now renting a local parking garage for the car - which is very short and only needs 2/3 of the space.
So, today, I unpacked and repacked the garden shed, and moved what I could to the garage (in near freezing conditions), making room for the courtyard furniture, patio chimney, and birdbath in the shed in the process. I also found the snow shovel and put it next to the shed door instead of at the back.
Unpacked and repacked the hall cupboard and moved what I could to the shed
Unpacked and repacked the upstairs cupboard and moved what I could to the hall cupboard
Unpacked and repacked the spare room cupboard and moved what I could to the upstairs cupboard
Rearranged the lounge
Packed away summer clothes for the next 6 or so months
Did 3 loads of laundry
I need a pat on the head and someone to tell me they've had a much more productive and exhausting day so I can feel guilty about moaning.
Is slowly creeping up on us and I'm pretty sure there will be many happy Americans.
No doubt in my mind that this time he will win in a landslide victory.
Most Americans have come to their senses.
Take note, I said MOST....
One will always get the fools who just love death and destruction.
Hopefully this man will bring some sanity to the world.

I don't watch much TV, but tonight I was channel surfing and came across the show COPS. That's the one where they film police activity and at the beginning of each show they announce "Due to the graphic nature of this program, viewer discretion is advised."
Tuning in late to this episode, the police had observed a drug deal and moved in to make a bust in a park, getting both parties. The bad part was one guy was there with his pregnant girlfriend. From the look of things, they were living out of their car. I believe he was the dealer as the guy who walked away from the transaction was the buyer and actually had the drugs in his pocket.
Although the boyfriend was arrested, the cops were helpful to the woman and would get information to her about keeping in touch with her man who revealed to the police he had been incarcerated before. Thinking the judge would only give him probation would be a miracle on his part.
Sad, but I guess good habits are hard to break.
Heard on another TV show "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."

in many ways.... Much calls for adaptability in life styles. Many are often technological or social, and many commercial.
On this last issue, my manual cork screw opening of a bottle of wine for a dinner beverage, got me thinking. Ever a risky event.
Many will remember real lead foil cork covers, as well as real (Portuguese) tree bark corks. Still present in costlier wines, but sadly, even here are evolving toward less expensive and fossil fuel alternatives. Even to boxes, and to screw off caps. What next?
We all hear that the horse dress and saddle industry died with the motor car, and that soon other work became available. With a corresponding general improvement in life for all.
But I'm not so sure. On both points. However.....
Gotta use my gold plated, 5 speed, bimanual, doubles as a fly swatter, rechargeable electric back scratcher, for a spell. Buzzzzzzzz. Ahhhhhhhhh! Now there's the rub.
Oh no, snow storm on the way with power outages. Whatever is one to do? Wait, there are rumours of machines called generators.
............... Test your words first
although i need to spend more time alone and can't handle social activities, i have to say with passion, i love people. all kinds of people. how rich our lives are with people, the more different the better. it's like tasting something new. there are flavors not tasted before. for all of the eccentricities and moods, i love it all. i truly enjoy the thoughts of others even if i may not agree. bliss is the hearing of another's thoughts.
The word "longevity" is sometimes used as a synonym for "life expectancy" in demography - however, the term "longevity" is sometimes meant to refer only to especially long-lived members of a population, whereas "life expectancy" is always defined statistically as the average number of years remaining at a given age. For example, a population's life expectancy at birth is the same as the average age at death for all people born in the same year (in the case of cohorts). Longevity is best thought of as a term for general audiences meaning 'typical length of life' and specific statistical definitions should be clarified when necessary.
