BE THANKFUL...there are scientifically discovered benefits

Fostering an attitude of gratitude/thankfulness is important for managing life and relationships. Thankfulness reflects ‘appreciation’, ‘recognition’, ‘credit’, ‘respect’, ‘acknowledgement’ or ‘regard’ for someone or something.

For those of us who are familiar with the Bible, 1 Thess. 5:18 says “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. For those of us who are familiar with Oprah Winfrey, she said “Be thankful for what you have, you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you’ll never, ever, have enough”.

Many people fail to understand how thankfulness can change a life and alter one’s perception for the good. A life without gratitude is often an unhappy, unfilled life. Putting a little gratitude in your daily life is a first-step to achieving many of your hopes, your dreams, your goals.

The thing with being thankful is that it actually helps you way more than the person you’re showing gratitude towards. When you feel thankful, grateful, and content in your own life and in your own experiences then you will find that you want less. You’ll find that you’re actually more satisfied with where you are and with what you already have in life.

Here are some persons that we need to take time to be thankful for:
• Take time to be thankful to God – He is the reason why we live, love, learn, aspire and achieve.
• Take time to be thankful to our parents, teachers and religious leaders – They are the reasons why we are clothed, fed, protected, educated and inspired.
• Take time to be thankful to our close friends – They are the reason why we feel accepted for who we are, and who we may want to be.

IF WE TAKE TIME TO BE THANKFUL, THEN IT’LL BE TIME WELL SPENT.

FORGIVENESS…

Why is it often so hard to give/get?

We all make mistakes, ignorantly and sometimes wilfully, but when we’ve realized our error(s) it’s time to apologize, make amends and ask for forgiveness. But this is, most times, easier said than done. On the one hand, we may feel too ashamed to even approach the person/s that we’ve wronged, and on the other hand, we’ve may blame them for part of what went wrong. So, shouldn’t they apologise too? Shouldn’t they ask for forgiveness too?

For Bible believers, and those who are spiritual, Ephesians 4:32 says,
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
And Matthew 6:15 says,
“But if you do not forgive others their sins, your (Heavenly) Father will not forgive your sins.”

The thing is, many of us know this but still struggle. The hurt that we caused, or that we feel, always seems too hard to let go of. Not to mention other things that get in the way such as pride and loss. Still, doesn’t God know that that’s what will bring us/them healing? Isn’t that why He placed those guiding words where we could find them? Haven’t our parents and friends encouraged us (at least once) to “forgive”?
Years ago, after my marriage fell apart, and was then followed by much acrimony (on both sides), I learnt that the main purpose of “forgiveness” was for my own emotional and spiritual healing and well-being. This revelation came only after obeying God’s guiding words (see also Matt 5:44). The letting go of anger, resentment, disappointment, pride, and lost love was first cathartic, then therapeutic.
We should want to give/receive forgiveness if we are to reap its benefits. We should forgive as honestly and as sincerely as we can, remembering that that’s how we would want to be forgiven. We should try not to repeat the hurts that we caused, and avoid persons and situations that may have caused our past hurts.
Perhaps the current world unrest could have been avoided if less pride and more “forgiveness” was the order of the day…..who knows?

Jesus and Mary Magdellan

According to scrolls found in a cave near Iraq, and written by two disciples, Thomas and Phillip, Jesus was frequently seen with Mary M. They often embraced and kissed each other. Peter, one of the apostles, asked Jesus who his favourite disciple was. Jesus responded by saying Mary M. Peter was disappointed with this reply and told the other disciples of his frustration at this.
None of this was ever recorded in the Bible, and you can imagine why. The senior church leaders didn't like the idea of Jesus having such a relationship especially with someone who was alleged to be a prostitute( though nothing confirms she was such ).
Therefore this activity was never recorded in the book.
The behaviour of Jesus sounds more normal and what one would expect from a human being.
Mary always followed him around and was there at his crucifixion, and at his tomb.

The concept of God is a test of faith....

Every action we take molds our characters for the future. Both positive and negative traits can become magnified over time as we fall into habits. In...
carl Jung's view, the truth about God is complex because God is a mystery whose nature is beyond human comprehension. In trying to understand God, we each create our own image of him – and the image is never accurate....
thumbs up thumbs up
i strongly believe this. cool

There is no scientific proof of God, and there is no scientific proof that there is no God. That is why they call it faith.

Just because the Bible is self-contradictory and does not agree does not mean that the god hypothesis is false.
It doesn’t mean that it is true either.

our life today is essentially the sum of our habits.
a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience."
Habits are sometimes compulsory.A
sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life....
Spirituality is the state of having a connection to God or the spirit world. An example of spirituality is praying every day. Religious devotion or piety.....
it can help you feel inner strength and result in
peace, hope, and may experience better confidence, self-esteem, and self-control.

Religion is a specific set of organised beliefs and practices, usually shared by a community or group. Spirituality is more of an individual practice and has to do with having a sense of peace and purpose. It also relates to the process of developing beliefs around the meaning of life and connection with others.
Humans can live without religion but they can't live without spirituality.

To have faith in God is to make a practical commitment
Authentic faith influences our small, daily decisions..
You mask insecurities. ...
You think failure isn't an option. ...
Your self-worth depends on how others see you. ...
You suppress your emotions. deny the pain. ...
can think i can do everything.

APHRODITE: Goddess of love.

APHRODITE was the Olympian goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation.
She had the ability to unite people and their bodies in both s*xual and non s*xual way.
She was worshipped as a deity of marriage and married love.
In ancient Greece Aphrodite is always described as untouchable beautiful while seductive and lustful.
Well she gets my vote. I'm going to send her my thoughts and put my faith in her.

Blabbering blabber

As they say, there is no realization of the false 'I'; it's merely a dissipation of self-reference, a process that occurs in the default mode network. The constant self-reference is the false 'I,' which has ceased to exist. Even without it, I, as an individual, did not cease to exist; I continued to exist. In this state, one is not bound by the narcissistic grid of 'me vs them' dichotomy.

I want to highlight that people who experience real awakenings follow certain protocols of unfoldment due to the deterministic causal nature of reality, including consciousness. One of these protocols involves laughing at the ego. I can't explain in detail, based on memory, the exact mechanism of this interplay, as on paper, it might sound like either a contradiction or that pieces are missing. How can there not be an 'I'? However, I'm not compelled to explain myself. I'm just letting you know that I laughed at my own ego and at the ego as a phenomenon, considering it as a construct with its function and predictable behavior.
