I was born in New York and wondered what it would be like to visit Old York. I'm thinking, if there's a New York, they're must be an Old York... kinda like a parallel universe where Mister Spock has a goatee in one universe and clean shaven in the other!
That also has my curiosity about Old Jersey and if it looks the same as New Jersey.
New Haven... Yup, what's the connection with Old Haven.
Does New South Wales resemble Old South Wales?
Should I travel down unda... I'll have to check things out.
I'm sure there are similarities in New Mexico and Old Mexico as they probably make good tacos there.
Last on my list (for now) would be New Caledonia and how it compares to Old Caledonia.
I used to live in the Northeast section of Miami and the same street exists in the Northwest section. Similarly, they have the same house numbers over there and sometimes, I'd get mail intended for the person with the same street and house number but NE instead of NW. I'm sure they got my mail by mistake.
My brother asked if I could visit him in Dayton, Ohio. Oddly he has a neighboring city of Miami. I suppose there are people eccentric enough to buy houses in different states with the same named cities and the same street and house number.
I could use Google Maps and research dual houses with the same city name, street and house number. I'd need a pile of money to convince the residents of both houses to move out and let me move in. Then I could start a YouTube channel and upload videos about my move back to Miami... Florida and Ohio.
After I get the hang of it, I'll explore the same having houses in both New and Old.

I have just booked the flight to Newark Liberty International Airport (3 stars out of 5 on Google) on may 1st, 2020. It's gonna be my first time ever in the US, so I am looking forward to it a lot!
The trip takes me to London, England, where I have a 2 hour layover in Heathrow, before the trip to the USA. MAN I am excited for this! My first ever time in the US, but it's so far away! Time wise, I mean. 10 months away!
Those 10 months have to fly by!
But the main thing is: I am coming to the USA!

I applied for the ESTA yesterday, and I paid $14 for it. I have just looked at the application, and, as I suspected, it was approved.
I can now sit back and relax, since I am allowed to enter the US. The ESTA is valid for two years, so I will need to renew it in 2021.
One of the questions they asked me, to determine if I was worthy of an ESTA was: "Do you seek to engage in or have you ever engaged in terrorist activities, espionage, sabotage, or genocide?"
In the drop-down menu, I put in "yes" by accident, to which the popup said "Are you sure? If yes, please contact DHS for help". I then quickly selected "no", and then all was fine.
I need to shop for a duffel bag, since I don't have one. I am not sure how expensive they are, but they shouldn't be that expensive.
By the way, I loved what it said on the ESTA site: "Welcome to the USA".
Thank you!
Normally, esp. when the girls were younger and not away at school, and mom and dad were still an item, we'd take some time to sail north for family vacation. Usually up to the lovely area near the Canadian border, where tides and currents are a challenge, and you have to bring with you all you need. Eastport and Campobello Island. Now it's Mr. Bravo and me, Have done short day sails with visitors though-several this summer. No time for longer trips with so much to do at home. So to temporize, we'll explore the striking beauty of Acadia National Park. I stupidly used to look down my snout at this place, which is not as well known as the larger ones out West. And it's only some 40 miles away as the crow flies. Drove there to watch the partial eclipse. Stunning beauty. Still some ground fish. Google it. Aa.
Surprised how EU folks seem to like the place. Moreso the South, actually. Really not as exciting as other parts of the EU. Exciting isn't always a top feature of interest for some. Funny how that works. Maine is a little boring, but I choose it over many other places as a base of living/travel operations. Perhaps Portugal will serve the same purpose for me on the Continent. Aa.
Then I travel to exotic civilization.
"When I breeze into that city
People gonna scrape and bow.
All the women gonna want me
Teach em what they don't know how..."

Well figured I should start blogging to see if I can gather information on my upcoming travel venture. I am headed to Arizona sometime in Dec. Crossing over from Canada and hoping to spend a few days in Nashville. Has anybody got an advice about what I really should see and also what are the best places to eat other words where can I get the best bang for my buck seeing my buck is looking sad compared to the US$. I will be driving.
A colleague recently told me that his neighbour retired. The neighbour started his new life by leaving his old life in the dumpster, including art and his university diploma.
I find this to be highly inspirational.
Everything that doesn't have sentimental value must go.
This includes my rock collection which never meant anything to anyone but me. The rocks weren't particularly good specimens. They were simple reminders of the places I visited, and I can still recognize where they were collected even though they remain unlabeled.
Tan mudstone from Mt. Nebo, burial place of Moses.
Red sandstone from Petra.
Petrified wood from the Arabian desert.
Sand from the Dahna sand sea, and the Rub Al Khali or Empty Quarter.
All gone.
I want to close my eyes, and when I open them, be in a bar in Bahrain.
Decompressing.
Unemployed.
The movers start tomorrow, and are supposed to finish March 30.
I leave Saudi Arabia March 31.
Place your bets everyone.
