Any one I forgot will have to chase me. Life is that way!

Last month when I took a vacation, my car was in the airport parking lot for 5 days. On my return, I started the motor and it labored for a few seconds. Weak battery. It's been on my list to deal with it.
Typically, I have a place in Miami where I buy batteries wholesale. They do lots of export and always had what I needed in stock. My first choice for Car batteries, 2 marine batteries I used during 2 hurricanes, power supply/backup batteries, I've been buying from them for 15 years or so.
I usually know when a battery is getting ready to fail, but three years ago, I didn't have time to get there when the battery in my Hyundai Veloster died with little warning.
AAA came the the rescue and for $130 I was back in action.

Today I was scheduled for an oil change and since my car is under 36,000 miles, I'm getting the dealer to do the service. The service advisor said my battery failed on their multi-point inspection so they replaced it under the manufacturer's warranty. No argument there.
Waiting to replace the battery, worked out as a nice gift... Thanks Toyota!

For those who cannot wait for Black Friday sales, many retailers are already into Pre-Black Friday. I stopped at Walmart this morning and they are filling corridors with things for the holidays. Hurry, get your Pre-Black Friday shopping done before Black Friday arrives.

I question the intelligence of website programmers who don't give information in the title of a bookmark.

I'm looking for a company who sells architectural plastic products. Their name is found on a Google search and from the main page, I decided to bookmark it.

Company name: Outwater Industries (many years ago it was Outwater Plastics)

Bookmark name: Welcome to the store

Comment: WTF??
I've got over 200 bookmarks and 'Welcome to the store' is more than useless when trying to find them again.

There was a time I answered every call. My position was sales manager and I had to communicate with new people all the time. It was time consuming to listen to a message and return the call when my preference was to catch it when they were on the line.

In the last 5 years the number of bogus calls has increased tenfold. Extended warranty warnings in English and Spanish, I'm looking for a house in your neighborhood, my business is approved for a 6-figure low interest loan. An election year and I've received more than 100 calls and texts from people... right up until election day.

Unless I'm actually waiting for someone to return my call, I'm hesitant to answer any unknown incoming call. Most of the caller ID have names now and 'Scam Likely' is usually on the header, but some discount carriers don't use that system.

Most everyone I know rejects bogus calls.

When I receive a solicitation call, I block the number. What happens then is my phone doesn't ring but the call is automatically routed to my message box and I get notification there. The computer generated 'robo-calls' are recorded messages repeating the same BS over and over. Since they can spoof the number they are calling from my phone sees it as a new number and the call comes through.

Don't answer the phone... it's no one you want to talk to.

It's become the usual phrase "Sorry, that's out of stock and on backorder"
Cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures, lumber, it really makes little difference as the entire world seems to be on backorder.

One of my friends recently moved to Asheville, North Carolina. He's a retired general contractor building his own house. Literally, everything going into the house is in short supply, out of stock and on backorder. What was expected to be a few months of construction is turning into a year. It's a good thing he and his wife have a motor home parked on his land while construction goes on.

Checking with a competitors models and 80% of their inventory appear to be on backorder.

It's not hard to predict that rebuilding after COVID will be a long, long time.
