Women Quotes

There are only four things women need in life: food, water, love, and compliments.

A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.

Women, 'Be yourself - it's the inner beauty that counts. You are your own best friend, the key to your own happiness, and as soon as you understand that - and it takes a few heartbreaks - you can be happy.'

I want to tell women that you need to love yourself and make yourself a priority. It's only when you are happy yourself, can you make everyone else around you happy. I am still a dreamer and still believe in fairy tales, but there is only that much one should give another person. You need to keep something for yourself.

I think women are amazing and women's friendships are like a sisterhood and we should see more of it in every day life, on television, and in film.

What do you think ladies?

Guy Fawkes...

Early hours of the 4th of November here and already people are letting off fireworks.
So apart from being an outdated custom from the "mother land" what has it got to do with a colonial country on the other side of the world. .

I Like This

Lisa Beamer was on Good Morning America - If you remember, she's the widow of Todd Beamer, who said 'Let's Roll!' and helped take down the plane over Pennsylvania that was heading for Washington, DC back on 9/11.

She said it's the little things that she misses most about Todd, such as hearing the garage door open as he came home, and her children running to meet him.

Lisa recalled this story: "I had a very special teacher in high school many years ago whose husband died suddenly of a heart attack. About a week after his death, she shared some of her insight with a classroom of students. As the late afternoon sunlight came streaming in through the classroom windows and the class was nearly over, she moved a few things a side on the edge of her desk and sat down there. With a gentle look of reflection on her face, she paused and said, 'Class is over, I would like to share with all of you, a thought that is unrelated to class, but which I feel is very important.

Each of us is put here on earth to learn, share, love, appreciate and give of ourselves. None of us knows when this fantastic experience will end. It can be taken away at any moment. Perhaps this is God's way of telling us that we must make the most out of every single day. Her eyes were beginning to water as she went on; 'So I would like you all to make me a promise. From now on, on your way to school, or on your way home, find something beautiful to notice. It doesn't have to be something you see, it could be a scent, perhaps of freshly baked bread wafting out of someone's house, or it could be the sound of the breeze slightly rustling the leaves in the trees, or the way the morning light catches one autumn leaf as it falls gently to the ground. Please look for these things, and cherish them. For, although it may sound trite to some, these things are the "stuff" of life. The little things we are put here on earth to enjoy. The things we often take for granted.

The class was completely quiet. We all picked up our books and filed out of the room silently. That afternoon, I noticed more things on my way home from school than I had that whole semester. Every once in a while, I think of that teacher and remember what an impression she made on all of us, and I try to appreciate all of those things that sometimes we all overlook.

Take notice of something special you see on your lunch hour today. Go barefoot. Or walk on the beach at sunset. Stop off on the way home tonight to get a double dip ice cream cone. For as we get older, it is not the things we did that we often regret, but the things we didn't do .

If you like this, please pass it on to a friend. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

GOD Bless you every day of your life! The nicest place to be is in someone's thoughts! The safest place to be is in someone's prayers, and the very best place to be is....In the hands of God!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

NOT ALL QUOTATION IS CORRECT...

I cut from a comment of one blog which attract me to see through...

"The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his county for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does, the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war." - Sydney J. Harris –

Hhmm… I am trying to digest what Sydney J. Harris said…. Then I opened Wikipedia and I found that Sidney J Harris is an American Journalist who became Nixon political opponent.

Nationalism is a belief, creed or political ideology that involves an individual identifying with, or becoming attached to, one's nation. Nationalism involves national identity, by contrast with the related construct of patriotism, which involves the social conditioning and personal behaviors that support a state's decisions and actions (Wikipedia)

Patriotism is, generally speaking, cultural attachment to one's homeland or devotion to one's country, although interpretations of the term vary with context, geography and political ideology. It is a set of concepts closely related to those of nationalism (Wikipedia)

From what I understood, Nationalism is a spirit to defense the whole nation, devoted and loyalty to one COUNTRY (national identity). It is general, big scale and how Sindey J Harris said that nationalism lead the feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war? Arrogant toward who and war against who?

While Patriotism is a spirit to support and defense to one COUNTY. It is smaller in smaller scale and Sydney said the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility. Yes Responsible toward its county/group only if their deed is right otherwise patriotism would put its county in danger.

From above, I see that patriotism is IN nationalism. Counties are IN country. But how if patriotism appear in one county to against his country ? and yes, if the patriotism right against the country, he would appear as a patriot (hero) but if the patriotism wrong against the country, he would appear as the opponent that could end up in jail.

Nationalism is a defense action of a nation toward foreign attack for example insulting the country and country leader. Persistent to attack and to defense would finally create a war. The result is only two, either nationalism succeeded to kick the attacker *ss or the country lose its dignity. And arrogance is needed in effort of defense to let the attacker know who they are dealing with. When there is no attack, the nationalism would live in peace in their country humbly.

A quotation like what Sydney J Harris said is just an opinion of one man. We should be re-evaluating whether it is correct or not, fit in the situation or not while a proverb is quotation that exist for centuries for instance “If you want to live in peace, you should follow/obey your leader, your bible (rules) and your society” and this proverb has been proven through generation.

Any other opinion about these two terms are most welcome…. Above is just my personal opinion.

Foregivness...

...I hear this word a lot on here...but i'm not sure that word actually exists..

Forget and forgive are the same word ?

I think as time goes by..you forget, to even bother yourself thinking about the shit that happened..forgive is a word used to make yourself feel better . I say it means...i've forgot or...I don't actually give a shit..rolling on the floor laughing
