Fellow/fellowess Amateur radio operator comrades.....

FCC publishes a warning not to veer too far away politically on the public airway frequencies, from the party line. No cryptic messaging neither. No surprise, but here's the kicker.
Notice out BEFORE the inauguration.
Can't make any of this up. Swamp creatures indeed.

Education and career decision...

It's interesting to see so many profiles on CS listing a masters degree yet they are working in a flower shop making less than $25,000. Not every high degree guarantees a good job. I have coworkers who immigrated from Brazil and some have college degrees and trained as designers and architects, but they couldn't find anything suitable in Brazil, so they came to America for something better.
My nephew has a 4-year degree in political science... great. He sold used cars and now he's a soccer coach. I question his father who paid for the education... Why did you let this happen?

A new ocean is being formed in Africa.

A new ocean is being formed in Africa. Geologists have confirmed that a new ocean is being created as the African continent is split in half. An international effort has revealed that a 35 miles long rift appeared in the Ethiopian deserts of the Far region in 2005 and is probably the start of a brand-new sea.

The recent study, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, combines seismic data from the rift formation to demonstrate that it is driven by processes similar to those at the ocean's bottom. The tectonic plates of Africa and Arabia collide in the desert and have been gradually separating for about 30 million years. The same motion has also split the Red Sea, but this is only happening at a rate of a fraction of an inch per year.

Interesting

When I open up Youtube I am presented with a seemingly random selection of videos. Most look boring, but every now and then one of them catches my attention. I found this one particularly fascinating. It is quite safe to watch; it contains no politics or religion. smile

The mind

As one gets older and eventually get to mature, by thoughts, intellect, attitude and actions, one learn to know and understand oneself. The things that bother me 10 or so years ago, do not weigh much anymore now. But there are several aspects of one's life that are not so easy to shake off.

Coming from a culture that considers (mostly) that talking about one's mental struggles is a taboo, it is hard to admit one's difficulties, seek and ask for help. I am not saying I am well versed in this topic, but one should try to reflect in oneself and accept that one needs professional help, before one goes deep into the dark pit. Help is available, do not hesitate to ask for it. And remember you are not alone.

What's the old proverb

..."No good of himself does a listener hear, / Speak of the devil he's sure to appear"...

if you don't comment or view the "flooders" blogs then they will gain nothing from CS

Just like with Trolls if you don't feed them you don't empower them...

I like to travel...

A lot of people will tell you ...or point out in their profile that they love to travel - I have to say - what the fook is wrong with you folks -Is it the travel that excites you or visiting new places ,I mean If you dont feel comfortable where you are, relocate ...If you love to drive around or be driven ,taken for a ride ...and pay for it -wake up .at some point you will realise that all you want is to get back home, so why leave in the first place ...

This lesson was pro bono -

How real are you ?

What is real? How do you define 'real'? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

Anger, How Do You Handle It

Lately on the blogs there seems to be a lot of anger among our blogging family. I ran accross this and wanted to share this.

Anger turns into resentment, resentment turns into bitterness, bitterness turns into unforgiveness, unforgiveness turns into a defiled conscience. Pretty soon, we become captives of our own anger.

Anger is nothing more than a sophisticated version of a temper tantrum. Just because we can define it with eloquent speech doesn't mean it is any more justified. We are still mad that we can't get what we want. And our anger overflows out of us and defiles everyone around us.

Instead of nursing, rehearsing, conversing about, and dispersing our anger, we need to reverse our anger before it hurts us and others!

How do you reverse anger? You do it with forgiveness, loving kindness, and tenderness. You go to the person toward whom you have directed your anger, and seek forgiveness!thumbs up

I might add that besides seeking forgiveness, you might want to throw a hug in there!hug
