Winter wisdom

With winter approaching quickly I thought I might share some sound advise with you.

I am a professional tradesman. My specialty is HVAC installation. I have enjoyed this trade for 17 years.

Now that you know my credentials I can share the wisdom.

If you haven't replaced your air conditioning / heating system air filter, now is the time to do so.
Depending on the cleanliness of your home it is recommended that you change your disposable filter monthly (or at least take a look at it).
Not only will you be more comfortable, but you will save money as well.

I would also like to add that if you heat in the winter you can also lower your energy cosumption and save even more money by adding humidity to your living space. Humidity holds heat. It can also help with those annoying nose bleeds we sometimes get when the home is too dry.

I personally purchase a case of 12 filters for approximately $20 US and change my filter on the first day of each month when I pay my mortage.

Thanks again, and if you have any questions I'm happy to answer them.

BadlyDrawn

I too...have been a victim

I don't like to talk about it much and prefer to suffer in silence...plus, there's like a 4 month waiting list for therapists in LA!

Yes, I've been victimized by the bad man. Just thinking about it....I'm fighting back tears as I type. So many nights...tossing and tossing....then I'd go to bed.

I've had my CS profile pic used for someone's sick form of amusement, but did I learn from it. No! I'm so rattled that I took and posted a whole new pic just days ago...as though I were just ASKING for more abuse! Just asking for it, I say!

I don't know what to do, so I laugh about it. See how warped I am now...I'm laughing at myself! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm an emotional wreck (have been since about 13).

Where's the humanity?!

A FICTION CALLED PATHOGENIC VIRUSES?

by: Ivona Živkovic

One of the most erroneous teachings in modern medicine, which is based on the theory of pathogenic microbes by Louis Pasteur, is certainly the study of viruses as causes of infectious diseases. It is no coincidence that this lie, wrapped in scientific dogma, received exceptional treatment in the second half of the 20th century. Behind it today stands the world's scientific elite (or pseudo-scientific) and all the leading health authorities. No wonder, because this dogma has proven to be a great tool, not only for a profitable business selling vaccines, but also an effective way to keep people in fear and, if necessary, deprive them of basic human rights by imposing a law on compulsory vaccination or quarantine (imprisonment).

By injecting toxins into the blood through vaccines (you can see one consequence of using the hepatitis B vaccine here ), millions of people around the world (who survive) become a profitable long-term poisoned patient. In addition to humans, this lucrative vaccine business includes all domestic animals. At the same time, thanks to "deadly viruses", modern pseudomedicine can skillfully mask the fact that, not only does it not cure any chronic disease today, but it also does not know their real cause.

But German biologist and virologist Dr. Stefan Lanka has been claiming for years that so far no one has presented any evidence that any infectious disease originated from the virus. He also claims that no such virus has been isolated so far .

To understand how this frightening scam works, we need to take a closer look at what viruses really are and how they work. This is evidenced by the data presented by those who studied them studiously for years, but did not agree to lie. Dr. Stefan Lanka is just one of them.

Hate Speech

I hope Fred Phelps finds redemption in those pearly gates...

Sometimes religion is what divides our citizens...and Canada regards all of its citizens equal...

The M 103 has been getting some criticism regarding the end of free speech in Canada...well Canada has banned hate orators such as Fred Phelps in order to keep the peace and the M 103 is just another reminder that people cannot commit an act of violence against others...including Muslims...

Some misguided individuals actually believe that Canada is inviting sharia law into Canada...lol...
laugh

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms was introduced to ensure Canadian citizens have equality...no fear here...you can leave your hat on, wear your niqab...or wear your Rainbowed flag...

Hate speech is not welcome in Canada...

Honesty on the blogs.

I applaud the blogs.

The blogs are here mainly to get to know the people from all walks of life whether it be bad mouthing Pres. Trump, or the praise and worship of Christianity or Islam or whatever.

Be thankful that this person posted the video of what she is capable of before you actually met her in person. The flip side of that coin would be a very happy farmer (or most) knowing that he has met his match

head banger

In some cultures what the lady has done is completely acceptable.
In the African context its normal practice to slit the throat of the goat or cow and thereafter drink the warm blood.

Ritual slaughter is required for the Xhosa's umkhapho ritual. The nature of the animal slaughtered depends on the social status of the person being buried. Oxen may be slaughtered for a very important person, while a goat may be slaughtered for others.

Be thankful that the true personality of the blogger/s are revealed in this manner instead of hearing through the grape-vine, via PM...conversing

Socialism

A friend sent me this and I thought it's a very interesting information to share.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan... All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... " (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that.

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and are all applicable to this experiment:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

cheers

Stay digital after you die

Capturing your image on film has only been around since, effectively, 1839 and for the first 50 or so years you'd have had perhaps one photograph taken of yourself in your lifetime, dressed in your best and staring at the camera without smiling.

Now, with selfies, videos, singles websites grin Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn, mobile phones, and any amount of public websites, the average person has hundreds of records, photos, scraps of information, memories of achievements and wonderful times from their lifetimes, especially the last few years.

The link posted below is fascinating but for those who don't like to follow links, Ian Twigg died at the age of 33 and his wife chose to create a digital memorial of him and his life on Facebook, and to start a support group, WAY (Widowed And Young). More people than you would think have got a digital legacy, it's an interesting article.

Obvious? Logical? Weird? Maybe you're suddenly inspired to plan your own, create your legend, rather than leave it to chance / family / loved ones...
