Dayton Art Institute...

I'm in Dayton, Ohio for a few days and wasted no time checking out some of the interesting things around the city. Wikipedia lists the Dayton Art Institute as one of the top 10 best art museums in the United States. Founded in 1919, and moved to a new building in 1930, it contains more than 20,000 objects spanning 5,000 years.

Initially, walking through the first corridor had drawings on the walls that looked like they were done by school kids and not professional artists. I had a feeling of 'I could do this shit' but it wasn't until 30 minutes of moving from room-to-room that the 'real' artwork started to appear and some really amazing paintings, sculptures and artifacts were on display. Most of the works were behind glass, some had railings as a reminder not to touch, some were in pedestals with acrylic covers so you can walk around and see the work from all views.

Photos were permitted as long as you didn't use a flash. The problem I found was surrounding lighting reflections in the protective glass often obscure the things I wanted to photograph and moving the camera to an angle where the reflections were minimized distorted the view so it was nearly a waste.

For me, the most impressive painting was called 'woman of the directory 1883' by American artist Charles Sprague Pearce who was active in France. From 4 feet away it had photo-like qualities. I Googled the name and there's a company AllPainter selling reproductions of his work for a few hundred dollars.

Men....attract women and keep them.

This gentleman has been getting tons of attention lately and praise from men all over and from all status.

What do you think of his teachings?

...and women, what do you think?

Is this guy nailing female nature or what?

This is the stuff that feminism has released to the world.

Once we are all on the same page of human nature, there will be no more deceit, manipulation, and true happiness will follow. applause

How many of you let go of the past.

We all go though problems in life.
Its part of our growth and to become a much better person. I believe some times problems are ment to be as we are either weak or need to learn.
Its our chooses how to take a problem.

We can either live in Anger. Which we will only be punishing our selves and attracting more or putting the blame on someone else.

or we can let go.Take our responsability, learn from it and make us more stronger and aware.

One day it goes to H.

I have two houses, the main one and the antique farm house. I rent the farmhouse. Last tenant was 23 years and was killed in a plant explosion. His best bud moved in and has been here for 6 years. Fit in nicely to the routine on the farm and helping out.
He is a smoker and drinker. Ended up with lung cancer over a year ago. Radiation and chemo and all good to go. Then arm swelled due to radiation. Fluid in chest..in hospital to drain a gallon. Ok.. Then VA put him back on maintenance chemo. He got up the other day and sick. Called daughter, into VA hospital.
She called yesterday. He was due to have surgery to drain pus caused by staph infection, super bad. Did shoulder, spine, cause he had a T12 compression fracture. And the hip replacement. Got agitated and they induced comma. She was there and so was a PRIEST! wow uh oh Gather the family. They put him on a ventilator. She spent the night. This morning they went into to check heart, two valves infected and he is too sick to operate. Last she said they were doing an MRI at noon to see if staph is in brain. IF so, with antibiotics not working, they will bring him out of comma, take off ventilator and allow family their good byes!frustrated crying
I told her do not let them give up on him!! She said definitely not!very mad I have not heard news since. Test was to be done by 3 and it is almost 5.
He is 58 years old. A lawyer and good guy. One day it all hits the fan and all she wrote.
It will not be the loss of the 23 year one, but sure rocks my world and farm. He surely did not deserve it. 23 year tenant was crushed to death when building landed on him. His sister choked to death last week at 56. And now his bud suffers and all with cancer and the problems the great medical industry gave him. Radiation destroys lymph system and chemo and radiation destroys immune system. And hospital visits gave him staph.
I am healthy cause I NEVER go near medical system nor Doctors!mumbling

China's Belt and Road initiative begins to crumble

as most client states begin to default on their loan repayment requirements. A guest speaker this week at the 3rd Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative is the wanted war criminal Vladimir Putin. The B&R customer countries are mostly countries with large amounts of natural resources, rather than poor countries with not much of anything that would have greatly benefited from any improvements.. Most of the investment money is used to develop energy & mineral resources China hoped to someday export (aka pillage) and profit off as a partial repayment of the loan money due to China in return for the improvements on that countries roads and infrastructure. Sadly, like happened inside China's cities, many of the Chinese companies contracted by China to do the work in those places where the B&R was happening took out loans to start the constructions, started the constructions, then (under Chinese banks liberal loan policies) took out more loans to begin other projects, which they began before the first project was even half done, then repeated and repeated until the collapsing Chinese economy forced a halt to the easy loan policies. The projects not completed and their own cash on hand shrinking the countries can not repay, the energy and mineral infrastructures not built China can't export the resources of the host country, and of course the Chinese construction companies can't repay their loans to the Chinese banks or finish the projects they began. China is now faced with the choices of complete all projects and not see any financial benefit for decades, or simply walking away from many B&R projects in many countries

China's financial exposure to date on the B&R is over 600 Billion dollars in loan promises from the host countries. This is in addition to another 600 Billion dollars of B&R investment loans to develop oil resources in Russia. The investment rating risk of the projects is currently at B- which is only a step away from being a total loss. Chinese investments into Russia ceased in 2022, but Russia has not repaid it's debts to China and many projects there are not completed. The largest recent recipient of Chinese investment money is Iraq (10.5 Billion dollars of signed loan contracts) for the development of Iraq's oil resources. The total current debt exposure of China is about 1.3 Trillion dollars of which about 60% is in default.

The current 3rd forum in China is as more about the country leaders meeting with a debt collector and offering their excuses as it is about anything else.

The below YT video provides more detail, history, figures, etc. .

What's the purpose of a gag order...

What's the purpose of a gag order if you're defiant and have a string of lawyers and followers supporting you?
I'm reading that Trump, despite all the warnings from the judges believes it's political because he's leading in the polls for the next presidential election. He's so confident that he can say and do literally anything he wants.
Every article I've read about his behavior this month always has reader comments that believe he should be reeled in. Why is he so special, when anyone else out on bail with a gag order who doesn't follow the instructions of the court gets to sit in jail a few days and it the offense is serious enough, they get to stay 'on ice' until the trial date.

Yeah... that's what I've been reading.

Suzanne Somers, rest in peace...

News yesterday came through that actress Suzanne Somers who survived breast cancer died at the age of 76. Her publicist stated she "passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours on Sunday"
Also stated "Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family"

Not to play-down the death of a movie star, but it appears to be the protocol that they pass away surrounded by family at any time of the night or day... as though they have prior notice of the time of passing.

Crossroads

I think I am at a crossroads in my life. Been there before and had to navigate my way through, seems like I will have to do the same again.

I got a reality check last week. Kidney specialist told me in no uncertain terms that I need to quit cigarettes and stop taking anti inflamatories for my hip and leg pain. I think the reality of it is hitting home, my kidneys are not good and it could cause problems for me later on. I don't need to make big changes aside from quitting smoking, but I do need to make those changes.

Like the man said. You can have fame, fortune, women, everything in the world but if you don't have your health, you got nothing. Its time to start treating my body better and get rid of the cigarettes and the anti inflamatories. Kidney dialysis is not something I think I would adapt to very well uh oh
