The Chief of Police on January 6 speaks out - an absolute must watch

People have a lot of different opinions about the events of January 6th, 2021 at The Capitol in Washington DC. But who better to give an insider perspective than the person who was the Chief of Capitol Police at the time? I highly recommend watching this interview. We still have not got the full truth from January 6th and what happened around it. The January 6th Committee commissioned by Democrats deemed various questions and people off limits. Watch, share, and never stop being curious.

You can watch the interview on Twitter or on Rumble

Trump's Trial

"In former president Donald Trump's third criminal indictment - the one recently issued by a District of Columbia grand jury for Trump's attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election - he's charged with a conspiracy to deprive the American voters of their voting rights. Accordingly, the American people are the victims of that particular crime.

The federal law - specifically, the Crime Victims' Rights Act, 18 US Code section 3771 - provides that crime victims have a right "not to be excluded" from the trial. If the trial is not televised, the victims of Trump's crimes WILL BE EXCLUDED FREOM THE TRIAL in violation of federal law."

I think there will be consequences of the trial being televised, or not being televised.

Oprah lost 40 pounds...

Oprah lost 40 pounds... again. I was in college and recall Oprah coming back from hiatus. The first show of the new season had her wheeling out a toy wagon with a big chunk of blubber on it to represent the weight loss she had in the off season.
That was in the 1970's and considered a really big thing. They didn't talk much about her dietitians and fitness team working her thighs 10 hours a day, forcing her to do what she couldn't do alone.
So here is is some 50 years later and it's become a top story that Oprah lost 40 pounds. Again... and her fans react: ‘I Can’t Get Over How Amazing She Looks’

I can't get over how she blimped and lost, blimped and lost, blimped and lost at least 10 times in those 50 years.
Obviously, she hasn't learned the secret of losing and keeping it off.

Madame Doubtfire....

1st.....
On paper, Mrs. Doubtfire
Origin of the "Doubtfire" name....

Madame Doubtfire, known as Alias Madame Doubtfire in the United States, is a 1987 novel written by English author Anne Fine for teenage and young adult audiences. The novel is based on a family with divorced parents.

Author Anne Fine based the name of her novel on a 1970s-era second-hand store, "Madame Doubtfire," located at the corner of Howe Street and South East Circus Place in Edinburgh. The shop was owned by Annabella Coutts, who named her shop after her first husband, Arthur Cyril Doubtfire.

The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all directions.

In November 1993, six years after its publication, the novel was adapted into Mrs. Doubtfire, a film starring Robin Williams and Sally Field.

MOVIE INFO.....

Troubled that he has little access to his children, divorced Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) hatches an elaborate plan. With help from his creative brother Frank (Harvey Fierstein), he dresses as an older British woman and convinces his ex-wife, Miranda (Sally Field), to hire him as a nanny. "Mrs. Doubtfire" wins over the children and helps Daniel become a better parent -- but when both Daniel and his nanny persona must meet different parties at the same restaurant, his secrets gets exposed.

2nd..... 'A Doubting Thomas'

In the Bible, Thomas would not believe that Jesus had come back from the dead until he saw proof of it. St. Thomas was the apostle who doubted Jesus' resurrection until he had proof of it (John 20:24–29). The first known use of the phrase metaphorically dates back to 1883.

The phrase 'A Doubting Thomas' is used to describe someone who is so skeptical that they don't believe anything without personal experience. Example of Use: “Don't waste your time on explanations; he's a doubting Thomas.”rolling on the floor laughing

AIRWOLF...

As long as I can remember, I've had a fascination for helicopters. Probably because we lived a few miles from the US Coast Guard airport and a few times an hour, helicopters would pass over my house to and from Miami Beach where they patrolled.

Airwolf was a TV series in the 1980's about an advanced prototype supersonic helicopter with stealth capabilities. I watched the show for the flight sequences... not for the actual plot or mediocre acting.

The aircraft actually exists (without the technology) for TV filming purpose.

Many of the stunt scenes were done with radio controlled models, and not full size aircraft.

Notice, the 2 black objects as part of the rotor head were needed as stability in the models.

Star Trek Rhapsody (Strange New Worlds S2)

Before the time of Capt. Kirk,, back when Capt. Pike commanded the Enterprise, something went wrong on a quantum level while the Enterprise was experimenting with a sub space anomaly.

The result was in my opinion one of the most enjoyable episodes of Star Trek I have watched (and I have seen a lot of them). The plot is strangely reminiscent of the Buffy the Vampire Hunter episode when the slayer's sister shoplifts a magical ornament that forces people to sing and dance. The two are so similar that Annaka's fear of bunny rabbits is echoed with variation in the Star Trek episode.

In this segment a young Lt. Spock (who still trying to master his human emotions and has a romantic entanglement (for several episodes) with Nurse Chapel and is blind sided when she gets accepted to a far away Fellowship and accepts it without telling him she is about to leave. When he learns of it he asks her why, in the 10 Forward Lounge and due to the quantum distortionshe tells him in heartless song why she is dumping him and leaving.

Nomophobia....

Nomophobia represents the irrational fear of being without a mobile phone. The term was coined in 2009 in the UK and comes from the anglicism "nomophobia" ("no-mobile-phone-phobia").

i would feel....
uncomfortable without constant access to information through my smartphone"
"Running out of battery in my smartphone would scare me"
"I would feel anxious because I could not keep in touch with my family and/or friends"

You feel anxious when your phone battery gets low. ...
You can't leave the house without your smartphone. ...
You feel annoyed when you can't access your phone. ...
You put your life or others' lives at risk to check your smartphone. ...
You use your phone to check for work updates while on holiday.
