BC versus AC...

If you bought products made after COVID, did you notice the quality was less than what they were before COVID? It's across the board and I'll start with paper towels. I used to think the thinnest napkins and paper towels could be found in Chinese restaurants. Not so anymore. The towels in dispenser at the highway service plaza are so thin now, they melt in your wet hands as you pull them. It takes a few extra towels to dry your hands.

Paper cups from Publix market... I've been using them for years and after COVID the cups were leaking right near the bottom. It took a few months before they corrected the quality control. Now, the cups don't leak but the price went from $2.00 packs and are $4.50

Scorpion brand was one company popular for making model aircraft Electronic Speed Controls (ESC's) but they had a failure rate more than 50% after COVID. They will replace a defective unit under warrantee, but the cost of repairing a crashed model helicopter (or airplane) isn't covered. Many of us switched to other (more expensive) brands with assurance of less failures.

I'm sure lots of cars manufactured right after COVID are having a higher rate of defects.
That said, maybe it's important to confirm the manufactured date of the products you are buying to be before COVID (BC) or after COVID (AC)

Making plans for my 40th birthday (part 3)

Today, we had our monthly cousin-get-together, and the conversation fell on my 40th birthday. Her husband and her are pretty much obsessed with the US, so they have an Uncle Sam poster hanging, as well as other USA stuff. I looked at it and went "Hang on, I want to make it a themed party", so guess what: The theme is going to be USA, so I need to find out what to make for food.

Forget the huge shopping list - I need to make three or four things. Sliders is definitely gonna be there, and so will hot wings. I am also thinking of adding hotdogs to the list as well. The sides are potato salad, regular salad, mini baguettes and cornbread - if I can make it.

Let me know what else I could possibly make. Bear in mind, I have to make food for 30 people..

I also need to find a lot of decoration, and I mean a LOT! We're talking tablecloth, balloons, buntings, confetti, large flags, small flags, hats, solo cups.. It's gonna rule!

Helium for the balloons is also on the list, which I can get at local party stores. Or - I might just do it the old fashioned way - with my own breath!

Last but not least - I need a costume for the party. I have my eye on a few that I would like to get.

The next big party coming up is Halloween, and I already have my costume for that

The media often fails to mention Donald Trump's time as a sheriff in the Wild West (1789-1817). Historians note that Sheriff Trump arrested thousands of outlaws and criminals. He was known for pulling no punches when it came to law and order.

Infamous NZ conman Wayne Eaglesome spotted in Spain posing as wealthy aristocrat

Conman Wayne Eaglesome spotted in Spain claiming to be wealthy aristocrat

Prolific conman Wayne Eaglesome has resurfaced in Spain.

One of the country’s most infamous conmen has been spotted in Spain posing as a wealthy aristocrat working for a global investment giant.

Wayne Eaglesome, who has used dozens of aliases over the years, was jailed in 2018 for managing a company while prohibited and making a false statement. He is also a convicted sex offender. He fled the country more than two years ago.

Among his aliases are George Von Rothschild, Father Antony Garibaldi, Dr Angus Harrow, Alex Newman, Bernhardt Bentinck, Alex Bergen, Bernhardt Augustus Longwater, Barnaby Gordon, Richard Mountjoy, Alex Bauer and Ari Ben Yitzhak.

The con artist has claimed to be a super-yacht-owning Harvard graduate and multi-millionaire, confidant to Saudi princes, a World Bank tax analyst, a long-standing member of the New York State Bar Association, and grandson of a top surgeon who once saved the life of Fidel Castro’s wife.

Wow
What a life he had led and lived

The humans are fading out.

I am a baby boomer. After WW2, things were looking up. Men came home and made babies. Even before, farmers made babies. LOTS of babies. There was work to be done and lots of children helped keep farms running as well as family businesses.
Then Japan and China got the idea they would run out of room. Lots of kids became frowned on. Even other countries thought people should not have so many kids. China clamped down..one baby per family only. And since boys were to provide for parents, baby girls managed to die before or at birth. Now whole villages in the hinterland are filled with young men and no women to marry.
In developed countries the average age is going higher every year. Young people are saying to heck with marriage and kids. Women figured out they dont have to be brood sows. Plus the young look at todays world and no way they wish to bring a child into it. What future will they have.
Southern countries seem to still be in the past and breed like mad. Part of the reason is so many babies and young kids die. So the thinking is one needs many so some might survive to provide for parents. And with lack of education, NGO's can't get it in their head if they have a couple, they can feed them. And get medical care. And they WILL live.
Now the world is shuffling. Those over populated countries are heading north. And some governments are welcoming them because laborers are needed to care for and provide for the elders who are over whelming the system. I read a democracy needs a slave labor force to exist.
Will the refuges and illegals meld into the north countries? Or will they see them as a free ride to use? Will they assimilate, or bring the crime, misogyny, gangs and lack of education and bring down the northern countries. Or in some, end up AS slaves.dunno

What I am Beginning to just now Realize.........................

? I used to be able to do cartwheels. Now I tip over putting on my underwear.
? My kid says I only have 2 faults. I don't listen and something else.
? I thought growing old would take longer.
? I came, I saw, I forgot what I was doing. Retraced my steps, got lost on the way
back. Now I have no idea what's going on.

? Scientists say the universe is made up of protons, neutrons, and electrons. They forgot to mention morons.
? The adult version of "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" is "wallet, glasses, keys, and phone."
? Wi-fi went down for five minutes, so I had to talk to my family. They seem like nice people.
? If you see me talking to myself, just move along. I'm self-employed; we're having a staff meeting.
? I won't be impressed with technology until I can download food.
? I really don't mind getting old, but my body is having a major fit.
? THINK! (It's not illegal.... YET!)
? I don't care who dies in a movie, as long as the dog lives.
? I've reached the age where my train of thought often leaves the station without me.
? If you're happy and you know it, it's your meds.

- Chapter I:
The ALGORHYTHM

V.

“But when to speak about division of society, one can think that all are done in purpose, the division occurring according to the master-plan, all are right on schedule, like the train following the same track to its destination, although changes are made over the lines. The rulers follow the same precepts of the antiquity, into building the empire, to which a leader will be assigned, in reign. The power is already theirs, for millennia, tracing back their genealogic chain, dominion being given from a king to another, from a prince, from a noble or boyar, from a commander of the few in charge to apply laws and regulations over the masses, - the crowds, therefore, being like heaps of ants at their disposal, replaceable, anytime, anywhere, after their purpose being served. So alike, it happens in modern society. It is nothing really modern, after all, except the times and circumstances, as well the inventions and transformations throughout the process of implementation. Technology serve to control the masses, and what has been done across last century, would be too hard to comprehend, even for the bright minds distinguishable among the crowds. Any type of form in which the control is being implemented, follows the same patterns, like in a web in which the spider comes after its prey wasted all the energy, - and applied to the modern society, people are being trapped in a form of control that finally will take over, regardless of rank or title, abilities or powers. Most of the people who are more awaken than others and could intuitively see the signs, through the impact of technology over the entire world, either realize that is already too late to change something and anyway, none of them could really change the way that the world goes on, or… just hopefully allow their minds to drive through, in an emergence of thought that all will be alright and people will be in charge, in the end, repairing the world that has been broken in last decades. But even those taking these paths, are mistaking, - some even more than others, and allow theories after theories to flow around and filling the world with more ideas who will lead to nowhere, anyway; that is because are things who can not be changed and if there is a change possible, at some point, or in one event to act like a wave break, are none to take over, if not.. if there must be, they have no idea how. Exploiting the same ideas, over and over again, into a blind search of a cure, it is like gathering in hand some dust and think will return a stone back again – the same stone already crushed by the hammer. Or to fixate the mind in ideas that there must be a way through, and the people will be in control, returning the world that has been broken to its natural state – as known before – fixing it, said otherwise – it is nothing more than perpetuating the same illusion until the day Reality hits like a car crashing over a wall. The wall, of course, being the final outcome of a society dreaming prosperity and spiritual richness, peace and equilibrium. That will not happen; but instead of this illusion, Reality will crush all dreams of all – even of the kings themselves! – with a tyranny as they have never seen in the entire history of mankind.”

Singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, who popularised beach bum soft rock with the escapist Caribbean-flavored song Margaritaville and turned that celebration of loafing into an empire of restaurants, resorts and frozen concoctions, has died. He was 76.
