Equality For Women

Really?

I often wonder if our fair ladies realise what they stand to lose in attaining equality. Think about it. Nobody to offer his seat on a bus or a train anymore, nobody to open doors, and nobody offering to carry parcels. These are just a few of the perks they stand to lose. professor

I can still understand why men would want equality for women. We're just want to be done with those silly gestures like giving up seats, opening doors and carrying parcels but I cannot for the life of me understand why any woman - unless totally insane - would strive for equality. confused dunno

It does not make any sense. Hell, I would never relinquish the upper hand if I had it. doh grin

Rep. Dean Phillips is challenging Biden in Democratic presidential primary

Great news for all Democrats and those who fear what will happen should Trump continue to look for a second term.

Dean is a centralist with almost no hard-left viewpoints.

I wonder how long it will take for some Republicans to spread lies and misinformation about Dean?

Nobody told us this would happen today...!

Usually, Friday is the quietest day at work. Not much happens, and we're pretty much done by 3.15 pm.

Not today.. Why not? Because a trade exhibition was on, which resulted in a LOT of orders. So many that the logistics manager called and said that we didn't have to pack those orders today - they could wait until Monday, which made me a very happy employee!

Usually, I am out of the door at 4 pm on Fridays, but today I had to stay for a further 20 minutes. I don't mind it, I just wish they would have told us that we would be swamped with orders from the exhibit. If we would have been notified about that, we would have started packing up orders way sooner than we originally did. The coworker I was closing with was stressing because he had a reservation at a restaurant, and us being swamped meant, that he would be in danger of missing his dinner date, so when we were all done, and the carrier had been sent on his way, I told him to just head home, and that I would be closing up by myself. I know I'm not supposed to be there alone, but I felt like I had it all under control. All I had to do was go a round to make sure everything was closed up, and that everything was on charge for Monday morning, and activate the alarm.

This marks the end of another work week - one that has flown by. It seems like it was Monday yesterday, which is how I like my weeks - quick. I also got my payslip today, which made me even more happy!

Dandruff...

I did some traveling this past weekend that involved airports with interconnecting flights, museums and sporting events. I passed through Atlanta, Georgia and much of my vacation was in Ohio. Dayton and a day in Columbus.

I noticed people... lots of people.

While the weather was very good (by any standard) we had a little drizzle rain and cool temperatures the first few days then amazing sunny, clear that went from freezing in the early morning to mid 60's (Fahrenheit) in the afternoon. I wore a long-sleeve polo with a jeans jacket and never felt cold. We went to a high-school soccer game on a cold night and those kids were in normal long sleeved pullovers with no additional coats. The spectators mostly had winter coats

It's safe to say that in cold climates, people tend to shower less often than people in hot climates. Fortunately, I didn't get a whiff of someone who's 38 hour antibacterial soap quit working. I did see something unexpected... lots of guys with dandruff. It shows up on dark clothing.

Up until this trip, I would have thought dandruff would have faded away like leprosy, where you've only heard stories and seen photos, but never had a close encounter with a leper.

Treatments for dandruff are everywhere. It's in shampoos, topical liquids... Listerine mouthwash is said to cure dandruff. So, there's no excuse.

Why human need God?

Apart from humans, all other species live their life without God, then why do humans only need God?

If believing in God brings good changes in us then it is good to believe in God, But there are more ideological conflicts among those who believe in God than among those who do not believe in God.
Everyone says that God is one but they have created different religions by giving different names to God. And they are fighting each other because of religious differences.
The reason behind most of the wars in the world is theological differences.

If you look deeply into all the Holy Books, they all have the same meaning and purpose. The only differences are in the language and some rules due to the environment of that place.

As long as we give importance only to 'words', there will be more differences among us humans, when we start giving importance to the 'meaning' then unity among us humans will increase.

Good for the State of Arkansas. Women and Men there know what a Woman is.

The Governor of Arkansas has signed an executive order banning woke words in State Government. The only humans that give birth are Women. Thank you Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I hope other States follow your lead.

Triangular lights in the sky.

A Juggalo (Clown Posse fan) friend of mine told me a few weeks ago that she had seen 3 lights in the night sky moving in a strange triangular formation. Although many other people on the road had also stopped their cars and gotten out to look at the 3 bright white lights, she took a picture of them for me (and her) and sent them to me. When I expand the positions I see them. Sure enough, 3 bright, white, lights in an Equilateral triangle formation. She advised they were pretty bright and moved together in formation before finally just going way up and disappearing. I found no online reports about that day's sightings. Therefore I filed it away as a Hmmm incident.

Yesterday morning she advised of a second incident the night before (Tuesday). Again 3 lights in a triangle formation darting here, darting there, going up, then down, then darting away again. She doesn't believe they were more than 5 miles distant. What was different this time is that the lights changed color, Red, blue, green, yellow and white. Seemingly at random. Sje could hear a faw away hum. Then they went way up high and the lights went out and a few seconds later the noise stopped too. Again she took a photo and sent it to me. Yes 3 noticiably bright lights in triandle formation. A blue, a red and a white. I went online and scrolled backwards in the FlightAware air traffic radar for the time period she described. Nothing found. To me that is interesting. Visible by camera and the naked eye, but not by radar?

A more extensive online search pulls up a similar report from a bunch of US Marines on Maneuvers, about 50 of them who also reported, in 2021, seeing a triangle of lights in the sky. However unlike my friend they had aerial flare capability she doesn't. So when it was overhead they provided some local overhead illumination to light it up. They reported seeing a black Delta shaped aircraft that could hover and fly in any direction without turning that was at least the size of a football field. Seconds after being illuminated it slew sideways and then straight up, it went once around the sky, horizon to horizon, very quickly and then simply disappeared. Several of the Marines made posts about the incident, but it is not generally believed the incident was included in the list of known UAP incidents.

October 26, 2023.

Yesterdays blog was a bot of a downer one, I admit. The comments on it ranged from "get a massage", "call a lady of the night", "join a club" and "learn a new language" to "delete this now because it doesn't look good for you if you want to meet someone from here" and some random nonsense from someone else.

Learning a new language is pointless - I speak two languages fluently, and I know a few words in 15 others, so I'm good on that front. Also, I never joined this site to meet up with people in real life. I joined for the blogs. Not ruling out the possibility of meeting someone here in real life, but I am not actively seeking that. Not at the moment.

Anyway!

Yesterday, I heard from my brother for the first time in two and a half months. He phoned me up out of the blue to ask me if I could look after my niece for a few hours on Saturday. Naturally, as the good brother and uncle that I am, I said sure. It's been a while since I have spent some time with my niece, so it should be a good one.

Then, today, he phoned again. "What's this, two phone calls in two days?", was my immediate thought. My niece just wanted to hear if we could get spaghetti for dinner with lots of cheese. "Of course! but we also need sausages and bacon", was my reply. So now, I have to work my magic to create the ultimate spaghetti dish! I have had some practice, so it should be pretty dang good. I need three types of cheese: Mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan. Mix those three cheeses together in a bowl, throw in some paprika, or if you're really adventurous - throw in some chili. Possibly some cayenne pepper as well. Before you know it, you have a cheese blend that taste amazing and is good with everything. Well.. Maybe not everything, but most pasta dishes.

As you can probably tell, I am in a far better mood today. Yesterday was a rare one, where I just felt so alone. I guess we all feel alone at some point in our lives.

increase in funerals

I have been noticing a large increase in local funerals by me for the past 6 months or so. I never said anything but I have been paying attention.

Just last night, I overheard a member on my pool team talking to another guy about how people he knows are dying. He said, in the past week, he went to 3 of them.

I am curious. I remember after the vaccine was administered, there had been some reporting on excess deaths. I wonder if they are still monitoring that today?

dunno

Stay safe everyone.

Stormy Wednesday...

I heard of a song Stormy Monday and I heard of an adult model Stormy Daniels, but today the New York courtroom Stormy Wednesday... or was that Stormy Donald?
Not a good day for Donald J. Trump as he was fined $10,000 for violating a gag order by speaking to reporters outside the courthouse.

After, Michael Cohen was on the stand and said Trump never directly instructed him to inflate the value of his assets. Trump's lawyers asked the judge to issue a direct verdict in Trump's favor on the grounds that their case had been proved. The judge denied the motion.
It was reported Trump threw up his hands, said "I'm leaving" and walked out of the courtroom.
Out side, he told reporters "The witness just admitted that we won the trial... and the judge should end this trial immediately.

That said, It won't surprise me if another fine for gag order violation is forthcoming.
