Sometimes how the human race acts and reacts make me wonder if there really is a difference.

Goodbye my friend. It's been great. We had some good times together. Those sunsets that seemed to last forever. I'll see you next year on the 10th of March. I wish you could be here all year round... but It's out of my hands. I wait for your return.

The biggest fantasy is that when you get old and retired, life is easy. People take care of you. You have all the time in the world to play. Bull! Reality is how on earth did we do everything when we did work!
I have two houses on the farm. The old farmhouse I rent and the main I live in with a boarder in the basement. He and a neighbor are pseudo sons. I rent the farm house cheap with the lease that they are part caretakers, do barn chores in morning, take care of what the house needs unless major. I have had the gamut of tenants. Ended up with one guy for 23 years who was like a brother. He was killed when the corn plant blew up and came down on him. He buddy took the house years ago. We got along well.
This tenant, a lawyer, grew up on a farm. Smoker and a bit partier. Ends up with lung cancer a year ago or two. Does chemo and radiation and puts it in its place. Regular maintenance chemo.
He gets health issues. Fluid in chest. Swelled arm. He went off chemo to get his hip replaced last spring. 6 weeks and seem all is well.
A week or more ago, he texts me he is having daughter take him to ER. Must have pulled arm and pain too bad.
He texts me he has major infection and a T12 compression fracture vertebra. Surgery is planned on shoulder, spine, etc. Daughter ends up texting, it is staph, he is in induced comma and bad shape. It ends up its in two heart valves and brain. He died a week ago or so. Hard to keep track of days.
She and I both blame the hospital giving him the staph. He had chemo the week prior. They couldn't notice it?
So now I sit with a vacant house that I have to deal with. I need that well for barn water. I am doing all the barn chores am and pm. I told neighbor he needs to move in. Oh..too big a bother in winter. Word of mouth to find a tenant. I am taping heavy vinyl over windows and pink insul foam. Try to shut house tight and keep gas low. 5% a week as of now. 50sF still. His daughter cant find info as to where he got gas. I called and found one that will bring it when I am at 25%. That is lower than I like.
So much for retirement. Good thing I am about the same as at 50..just a bit slower. Cause it is back at it for me. I will do an ad in spring unless neighbor decides to live up to the fact he will inherit along with my boarder so might as well start learning.

Last nights Halloween party was fun! I went all in with the makeup, the mask and the costume, but it was apparent that it was a cheap afterthought, and not something that would last in a cosplay competition.

I was really only there for the food actually, which was excellent, if I do say so myself. My food of choice was an Alabama-inspired pork chop, sausages stuffed with cheese and some chicken. Lots of meat, and it was absolutely fantastic!

Also, remember that vote that was held yesterday? Where the best costume won a prize? Nobody voted for me. Remember that I was worried that the kids would be scared of me? Well, they weren't.. Good won over evil - this time.

Next year, I WILL go full on horror theme! Because that's what Halloween is all about! I'm thinking a clown - but horrific. Kind of like this


Maybe I need to take up cosplay making..

How about a new social media called something like Chatter which will allow you to select the categories in which you have an interest, and will automatically join you to everyone else in that category. This will instantly give everyone several million interest-sharing friends. Loneliness efficiently banished ...

I suspect CS is now far too serious a place to be weird and whacky but hey. It's Sunday and the sun is shining, worth a try.

There's sport and politics (the dream teams), and food and income and travel, all need some outside-the-box thinking. Fill your boots.

Can you imagine a world without crime? A dreamworld? Don't be so sure. Let's think about how it will affect our lives and the environment.

For starters, all the police stations will be converted into information centres, each manned by an old lady with a sweet smile, which would put millions of police officers out of a job. Not that it would matter here in my country for they're a useless bunch, corrupt and only fit to assault drunks in the holding cells.

Hmm, and the security companies, prisons and the courts of law and every other crime preventing institution will have to go as well, leaving millions more out of work. If you consider that waging war is also a crime, all defence forces will become redundant as well. And all the criminals will also be without work. Not just those in organised crime, even petty criminals.

Then we did not even discuss the loss of income to insurance companies, manufacturers of security products or military hardware, and the likes, not to mention what the loss of spending power will do to the world economy.

Whether you like to know it or not, we will always have crimes in our society because all the unemployment will lead right back to crime. Crime is probably the largest employer on the planet.

We're finally at the weekend! A long week of work has finished. It is now time to kick back, relax and make some fun memories.

In my case, I am going to a Halloween party tomorrow evening at my cousins place. We are encouraged to show up in costume, so that's what I will do.

The spookier/creepier, the better. There is a prize for best outfit. I am determined to win.

I have decided to go all in on the creep factor! How will I do that, I hear you ask? Well.. I'm gonna embrace the darkness that lurks within me, because even though my persona is upbeat, kind and fun, I have a dark side as well. It very rarely - if ever - comes out, because I am very good at suppressing it. Now, I feel, it's time to let some of that darkness come to the surface.

I have bought myself a mask. Not just any mask. This mask in particular:


The website described it as a "Halloween Demon Mask Kid Of Darkness Deathcore Band Mask Cosplay Halloween Props". Me, I know it as the mask from Slaughter to Prevail, a Russian/American deathcore band. Apart from the mask, I have bought myself a black jedi robe, so I am combining the two things into my very own character. Furthermore, I have bought some makeup, so I can paint my face where the skin color shows through the eye sockets in the mask. I might also have the time to buy some fake blood, for the full experience. Or maybe just do some form of makeup so it looks like I've come straight from the grave - complete with blood running down my neck. For that to work, I need to shave. I also need to make sure that my LED light is charged up, because I'm, gonna bring that with me as well, for the full evil experience.

If I plan this well, I predict that some will find it so creepy that they ask me to take off the mask and put it away. Kids will be there as well, and I predict some will find it too creepy to look at.

Yes, I am going ALL in on this! If I can get someone to take a picture of it tomorrow, I will show you how it looked. I guarantee it'll look amazing!

Ivanka is scheduled to appear (by order of the court) Wednesday next week to testify in the New York fraud trial of the Trump organization case. You know, she and Jared have moved to Miami and she's busying raising children. Pretty terrible duty mom as she's appealing on the grounds that she would face 'undue hardship' to find childcare during a school week.


Ivanka dahlink, tell security I'll be there Monday afternoon and I'll bring a suitable nanny. We'll 'hold the fort' until you return. Don't worry... I'll arrange the whole thing, no charge!
