I was wondering about this a long time,If you had the mind that you have now,and you were born again, what would be your goal in your new life?
As for me? I would make my 2nd life's goal to be a Long Distance Runner
In wanting of what you don't have, don't forget to enjoy what you have.
What you have got very easily, many people do not get it even after hard work. So respect what you have.
In pursuit of a brighter tomorrow don't stop enjoying your today.
'Yesterday' is gone, whenever 'Tomorrow' comes it will come in the form of 'Today'. So only 'Today' is in your hands, how to live it is up to you.
Live 'Today' in such a way that 'Tomorrow' doesn't get angry with you.

Australian singer Jimmy Barnes has shared a concerning health update with fans mere weeks after cancelling shows due to a bacterial infection.
The former Cold Chisel frontman took to social media today to tell fans he is undergoing emergency open heart surgery in a bid to contain an infection that has spread to his heart
Well this could be true in most cases, but maybe that's why so many men rather run than be laid.
They (educated women?) say that men in general are like floor tiles.
If you lay them right you can spend the rest of your life walking over them.

In November, the price of gasoline (around here) was around $3.15 per gallon and dropped to $2.85 before Thanksgiving. After, it went up to $3.10 for a few days and it's back below $3.
Since some directly blame the president when the price goes up, they should also thank him when it drops... Thank you president Biden. You've done a fine job!

Cartouche... now that's a word that sounds vulgar, doesn't it? Maybe something Freddy Mercury would have shouted to the audience. For the Egyptians, it was an artistic impression or a plaque and not to be confused with dental plaque. In architecture, it's often a medallion with a bunch of scrolly shit surrounding it.
Why the blog?
I'm doing cabinets for a 7 bedroom house that consists of kitchen rework, bar, butlers pantry, laundry, closets and bathrooms. They want to salvage an old wall unit that's floor to ceiling and bout 20 feet long. It's adorned with lots of carvings and cartouches on the doors and panels. Personally, I think it's hideous, grossly outdated and needs to be torn out and replaced.
I wasn't asked to price a replacement. I was asked to remove the cartouches, modify doors and panels and overlap a panel to front mount a 55 inch TV that was designed for 42 inches. No can do. I graciously declined as I have no manpower talented enough to do a miracle.
In a former life, I've transformed basic square niches into 'dome style' cartouche units for statues or waterfalls. Those scrolly things were made from fiberglass and purchased in the right size to fit the openings. The end result would have been called 'timeless' but they had no idea that two generations later, everything would be contemporary.
I'm not expecting that style to come back any time soon.
Doing love brings blessing.
Doing hate brings sickness and bad.
Doing good brings blessings and happiness.
Doing bad brings condemning and suffer.
it is written in bible: love God with all heart..., and love your neighbours as yourself.(love all people).
Doing this brings you life everlasting and blessing.
God bless.

Charities are crying, donations are down. I may give food when the mailmen pick up for food bank. Otherwise, only send a check to the local sheriff for K-9 unit. Beyond that..nope. When only 1-3% actually gets to the recipients...the rest goes for salaries for the board, convention trips, offices.
I also get angry at their greed. Long ago I sent money to the NPR public radio. It was $10 a month to 40 total. And then they flooded my mail with fancy mailings for more. Every week or more, there was the letter. Envelope, nice inserts, postage paid envelope.
After it was done, I sent them a letter back. You are not happy with a donation but want more. And spent half of what I gave on postage and letters asking for more. So now..you get nothing.
I got a mailing from a good charity last month. Calendars, note papers, and...2 pr 3 pairs of socks!
OK...far enough. So I sent a check for $10 cause figured I got the socks. Yesterday I got a big envelope from them. More calendars, note book, planner! Oh..so now I am on your sucker list? Lesson learned. If one gives to a charity, they will spend the money hounding you for more, more, MORE!
At least when I give to the sheriff, I sometimes get a nice thank you card back and nothing more. And one time, one cop stopped by so I could meet one of the dogs. Now that is the way it should be.

As a musician, it was often requested for the band to announce song dedications for people in the audience. Those are the happy dedications for birthdays or anniversaries. Once I attended a concert where the singer announced a dedication to the women for 'All the kisses we snatched' and his guitarist added 'and vice versa'
I've been to concerts where the band dedicated a song to former bandmates or other famous musicians who have passed on. The heavy metal band, Quiet Riot always dedicates a song on every performance to the guitarist and co-founder Randy Rhoads who was killed in a plane crash. QR singer Kevin DuBrow who died of a drug overdose and drummer Frankie Banali who died of pancreatic cancer have been added to the dedications as the band continues to tour.
The show must go on... Quiet Riot will be performing in South Florida in January 2024.
