Falling Star..

When the night comes, look at the sky. If you see a falling star, don't wonder why, just make a wish. Trust me, it will come true, because I did it and I found you....angel angel grin grin grin grin grin grin bouquet bouquet bouquet bouquet bouquet

Time Walks By Your Side

Time can be your friend
As each moment leads you on
A journey to the future
Yet the past is never gone.
Each step you take is a gift
To be imprinted on your mind
As the path is cleared before you
Your desires you will find.
Each moment is a lesson
To hold within your heart.
Then you can take a child's hand
Prepared with wisdom to impart.
Although you may not see it
Because life can seem so rushed
You have left your heartprint
Upon the souls of those you've touched.
Time walks by your side
Wherever life may lead
Never fear you've been forgotten
You, too, have a destiny.
Although it seems a struggle
Fear not these lessons learned
Take time by the hand to the future
Knowing each step you've taken was earned.

What happened to us?

What makes you hate me?
Apparently is my color of skin...
Does my ethnicity offend you?

Many times I have heard "white should stick with white"
I am "white"....
But then again when you talk to me you will notice I am the result of my past.

Is is my fault that I was born with this color? With this native tongue that you do not understand?

Perhaps I will agree that most of us are on the defensive but you have to understand how hard it is for someone to be insulted and looked down upon everyday just for how they look.

My background is African, Spaniard and Indian Taino. Indian Tainos were the ones that lived in my land first and then came the Spaniards. They immediately forced the Tainos to work for them and changed their believes and religion. Then the Spaniards brought African slaves to the island when most of the Indians were dying. They procreated African with Indian, Indian with Spaniard, Spaniard with African and so...And that is how I have this color and I speak the way I do, and I am the way I am.

I must admit that your ignorant words have offended me, angered me and even hurt me. That you choose to believe that you are better than me and others...Well I am damn proud of who I am and where I come from. And I hope that the people that experience what I've had can say the same and keep their head held high.

Racism, every day I am confronted by it. Would Would I be a better person if I talk perfect English? Would I be a better person if I wasn't born in my land? Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is the most ridiculous lack of knowledge. Yet we have many great ignorants in this world.

I bet that if you got to know me, you would like me. But your priorities, your preoccupation is on why do I sound funny when I talk. Why do I talk Spanish? Why my skin isn't that white? Why is my hair curly? You will never get to know me because you hate me for how I look and apparently you cannot surpass that. How I look is more important to you than how I am inside.

Racism is stupid. Racism is lack of knowledge and maturity. Racist comments are not funny. When you say openly, publicly a racist comment you will get people offended and rattled. When you say something racist and stupid don't ask me why I get on the defensive. The minute you say something get ready to stand and fight for what you say. Because you will say something and I will have my entire background, my lives experiences and everything that's been going on, to stand up and defend my believes. I will defend who I am and where I come from.

Anyways, just had to get this out. Yesterday was not a good day when on this chat a racist fight began. It was very stupid....Well I just had to say it. I don't see anybody as less superior or superior than me. In my eyes we are all equal and so I want to be treated like such.....Just Peace people, Take Care

Video games BRING BACK THE GOODS

game franchise that should have a side scroller #1 mortal kombat if you cant reinvent your game make a side kick. i do believe to bring back something you would need something popular that everyone would at least try it. here are some other least popular ideas bleach dynesty warriors style. it would be easy for grunts you got hallows and low rank soul reapers. one rule all side scrollers should have co play. I just wanted to play a good rpg one day and remember that i have shadowrun for the snes and i want to make a sequal. i was thinking and for a story and i know only one thing it should have a new main character with somewhere in the game you do run into Jake Armatage. i think that Drake should return and he is out for revenge and he kills all the shadowrunners from the first game you know for information on Jake. like one survives, i dont know which one yet.

i just thought i start some video game talk on this site.
i would love to hear your ideas on where video games should go next because thats what i go to school for and i want to bring something new to the industry. i also want to bring back BATTLE TOADS.

shallow people

Hi,
Just wondering if there is any non shallow people out there that want to date and maybe have a relationship. Seems like too many superficial people out there. I always thought the inside of a person was more important.
Thanks for reading. Just wanted to state my opinion.

What Am I Doing Wrong?

Last night I went on a first date with a man I met on line. First off, he did not look anything like his picture. His picture was old and he told me that he had gained 40 lbs. But when he picked me up....let's just say that he gained alot more than 40 lbs. So I set that aside, and tried not to judge him and went out with him for the evening.

I travel more outside the city I live in, so it was rather funny that he knew more about the city I live in than I did. We went to a local bar, where he proceeded to manhandle me. I explained to him that I don't do that on first dates, and I would appreciate if he would respect my space. Because we were in an atmosphere that was rather loud, he felt that he could lean into my ear and talk to me while rubbing my back. And after having a meal, which I stated I was full, felt that he could rub my stomach.

Needless to say, I had a few drinks to try and relax. I started drinking too much and couldn't find my way home....lol. We had left the bar and I was rather unstable, and because I couldn't find my way home, he told me that he could just keep me hostage. Now....being under the influence, that tended to not set well with me...rather, it being a first date, and the fact that he would not respect my space....was actually kind of scary.

He got me home safely and proceeded to try to force a kiss on me. I dodged in every direction, but he was quite forceful. I finally had to pull myself away and tell him no. And then, to top things off, my mom accidently locked me out of the house....lol.

So, it wasn't such a good evening. So just for giggles everyone, could you please comment and tell me what I did wrong.....lol. I want to know why it is that when I tell a man to respect my space he suddenly becomes deaf.

Distance: The Serial Killer of Relationships

Some recent events in my life have got me thinking about relationships and the reasons behind why they might flourish and then, why they might die. I've come to the conclusion that it is distance that is the number one cause of withering, dying, or dead relationships. Be that distance emotional or physical, separation from the ones you care about will ultimately sever your connection with them. Death of course, is that final and most feared creator of distance.

All of this of course doesn't only apply to romantic relationships. Oftentimes, I've had many friendships terminate because of distance. Whether it was former co-workers or classmates, physical distance creates a breakdown in communication and then everything spirals downward from there. You can always measure the strength of a friendship by how you act when you haven't communicated with that person in a long time. Most of us have friends that we may not see or talk to for months or even years at a time, but when you do, it's like no time has passed at all. That's how you know you have a strong connection with that person.

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and though that may be true, I believe that prolonged absence makes the mind grow harder. By that I mean that the practical side of our brains learn to accept the distance and distracts us from our emotions by concentrating on routine and day to day survival.

Technology is a wonderful gift and tool that we use. I often marvel at the fact that I can talk to people through written word or by voice despite the fact that the listener is hundreds maybe even thousands of miles away. Unfortunately, human beings need to feel a physical presence in order to thrive. I really enjoy talking to distant friends or relatives, but I get so much more out of being in the same physical space with them.

Distance is a crafty killer. At first, you don't think it will be a problem, but then after time, you begin to forget. You realize that you don't actually need to feel the other person's presence because life will go on without them. Distance comes in so many shapes and forms, too and what may seem like a great opportunity is really creator of distance.

There will never be a cure for distance, but perhaps with more awareness, people can prevent distance from happening without their knowledge.

THAT IS ALL
