Take the blinkers off for a minute.
Maybe a well publicised ploy to smuggle arms, perhaps a setup to get publicity.
The videos clearly show The Isrealis being attached with what looked like iron bars and a knife, was the boat people waiting for the Isrealis in ambush? Did the Isrealis use unreasonable force? did they believe their lifes was in danger.
There is always 2 sides to every story.

I just did a study of various news sites and the estimate varies from 2 to 20 people killed.
So knowing the Israelis and the bias of the news media I'd say the real number is probably more like 50.

No. The video shows the Israelis dropping onto the deck of the ship (which was in international waters) and then using grenades against crowds of unarmed people.
Then the video shows a an iron bar and a knife laying on the deck as supposed "proof" that the soldiers were attacked.
It's clear that the humanitarian aid workers did not board the helecopter and hijack it.
